Hi Clipper people,I am really thinking about getting the Clipper but I have a question.I understand that the package contains scenery from the Clipper period. But doesn't that overlap with today's scenery. Do you switch off the Clipper sceneries when flying other airplanes?Maybe a dumb question but I have been thinking about this.Alex

I would like to know if there is a way to organize FS2002's aircraft collection into various categories such as: Heavy Metal, Rotors, Ultralight, Aerobatics, Vintage, Lighter-than-air, etc., etc.[That's the way X-Plane does it, one of the ONLY features of X-Plane that I miss!]It seems wrong to have the Stearman Kaydet in the same drop-down list as the 737, but that's the way FS2002 organizes aircraft - by manufacturer.Is it simply a matter of organizing the folders under MSFS2002aircraft? Hay all,I have made up a little program that will calculate V1, VR and V2 as well as VREF and Climb speed :)The program is based on the Ti-83 Calculator :-hah So to say: IT'S COCKPIT HANDY ALL THE TIME *:-* If anyone is enterested just write a message :)I'll make the program for PC too :) and maybe make a speed indicator thats linked to FS :-kewl Anyone who has great idears about a program like this just write it here :) and I'll see if I can make it :-cool

I am considering whether to reinstal FSAssist 2002 despite my new P4 because while the visuals are generally excellent, I am surprised at how relatively low the fps are (down to about 15-18) in very dense scenery areas with settings that seem to be about average for heavy simmers. Is anybody here using FSAssist 2002 on a major Ghz machine (i.e., anything of, say, 1.8Ghz and above)? If so, do you find it works well? Do you have any operating issues with it?Appreciate posts, thanks!JS

It includes Atlanta Motor Speedway, the Air Route Traffic Control Atlanta Center, and nearby Tara Field.That completes most of the Atlanta area projects I wanted to do. The list now includes: Atlanta Motor Speedway (above) Atlanta Skyline (over 100 real world buildings and structures) Stone Mountain (the mountain and surrounding area) Atlanta Airport upgrade (over 400 signs and other structures to KATL)I also uploaded an update for the Neuschwanstein Castle. Just a quick check...anybody here who has had problems with SP1, can you advise if you use AMD or intel processors? Just trying to see if this issue is a problem with more than just a video driver.I myself had to back out SP1 because of FS2002 issues with artifacts on text and stuttering flight. I use an AMD Thunderbird 1.2 ghzprocessor besides my Xtasy GeForce3 Ti200 video card. Could be thevid card or Nvidia drivers, but wondering about that AMD.Eric

....If Carenado's V35 is a GMAX model or not? Also, some past Carenado products have substituted static bitmaps for wing views, vs. allowing dynamic views of the wings from the virtual cabins/cockpit (such as those used with Flight1's Cessna).... i just got DSL (i had dial up 56k - wow what an improvement) however i was excited to use fsmeteo with it but when i choose default config. it doesn't autocatically go out and d/l weather!! what am i doing wrong? ive tried all sorts of possiblities and nothing works.i just upgraded to fsuipc 2.901anyone?? would be great thanksciao!Brian S

I have my route pretty much planned out with what aircraft and locations to stop at except for a few holes in add-on scenery.looking for an airport/scenery for the Southeast states between KBWI and KATLbetween ktpa and KHOUanywhere in New Mexico, Western Texasbetween Las Vegas and Portlandand anything in either Idaho,Montana or WyomingThere are a lot of scenery holes here that I may just not know of, any suggestions?Cas

how do I stop that from happening?I am trying to keep the whole international terminal at KSFO only A340s, 777s and 747s which is mostly what it is like in real life with the exception of a few flights a day that go to Mexico and Canada which use smaller aircraft.I have designated gates G91 through G102 (as in real life) as heavy gates, however, I keep seeing 737s and A320s park there. Any clue how to prevent this?

Am I right in thinking the new Ariane 737 does not have a Virtual Cockpit? If so, is it possible to put the default 737 Virtual Cockpit into the Ariane model? Regards

Hey everyone. If there is anybody out there that is not familiar with Garry's work, you are depriving yourself!!! Garry does repaints of aircraft for flightsim. They are not just repaints, these are top quality artforms. I urge EVERYBODY to go to Garry's website and at the very least look at what he has to offer!! If you don't see what you are looking for, just ask Garry to paint it for you, and I know for a fact that if he has time, he will be more than happy to accomodate your request!! If you are having fullscreen/menu bar problems with SP1 and have disabled your AGP Texture Acceleration you may need to enable it again. I spent the morning over at my neighbor's trying to understand why my system worked fine after installing SP1 and his was a bit of a mess. What I found was that he'd done some "tweaking" and had disabled the AGP Texture Acceleration. Enabling it again fixed the problems. All mileage is, of course, variable but it may be worth clicking on Start/Run, then type dxdiag and click OK. Next click on the Display tab and be sure the AGP Texture Acceleration shows "enabled".Trip

Has anyone had any trouble loading the FSD site? When I am at work and on our network it comes up just fine, but at home with my dial-up it can't find their server. MSN is my IP. Hi,Can someone please enlighten me on the concept of Vref(reference speed)? Why, for example, are speeds for approach flap settings given in the form, Vref+number? Is Vref only significant for takeoff and landing? How is Vref calculated for a particular aircraft?Thanks,Frank

Hello,We use to download many add-on sceneries. A question is how these add-ons impact on RAM and FS2002 memory ?Let's take an example: I want to fly over Germany. Lets's suppose I've installed a scenery mesh divided in 5 BGL files covering Germany.First question: Does FS2002 download in memory all 5 BGL files or just one or two depending on the aircraft position ?I've installed a landclass europe file (this is just one but very big bgl file, 5 100 ko.
