Hi to all FS2002 enthusiasts,I think FS2002 is a very nice product but I miss a lot an OBSERVER CAMERA.FlyII has an observer camera, X-Plane and other sims also...only FS2002 has not this natural way to see.The only way to see is from SPOT view, but I think it is not so nice to be linked to the plane always! Expecially when you drive the plane at ground. Is there somebody who can think to do it to update this very beautiful sim?I wrote several times without any reply to this site: http://www.anticyclone.beHere there is an other active camera for FS2002 "fly by view" I thank you very much if someone can help me to have this simply tool, but I hope you miss it also.A dear reg…

Hi folks,Just thought of this out of nowhere. I would like to know if changing the runway length in any airport, does this make FS think that the lenghth is what I have changed to but it's factually shorter? For example, actual is 10,000 feet and I change it to 14,000 feet. Talk about default settings, am I right to say FS will assign you to land on this runway (since it's the longest) but when you land, the runway is only 10,000 feet long. Can this be done?Because I was thinking of, in airports like SFO, KLAX, there are many runways and I don't want to land in strong cross winds. For example, 4L is used for departures and 4R is for arrivals. Both 10,000 feet. Wind was 130 …

I took the plunge and bought Win2K having grave reservations about activation technology. I can still return it as it hasn't arrived yet, but is there a compelling reason to go with XP over 2K for FS2002? I prob will stay with 2K since there are serious issues with XP as far as SCSI is concerned that is not an issue with 2K through SP2.Noel

I upgraded my PC a couple of weeks ago, and have had problems ever since!AMD Athlon 2100+ Processor (1.8GHZ)300w PSUASUS A7V333 Motherboard BIOS=1011 (latest)Creative GeForce 4 128mb Ti4400 Driver=40.41OCZ 512 mb PC2700 DDR Memory (a single mem card)40gb Seagate 7200rpm Hard drive (master)40gb ??? 7200rpm Hard drive (slave)48x CD-Rom (Master)8x4x24 Yamaha CD-BurnerWin XP pro. edition O/SIt seems like, the more graphics that are generated, the quicker FS2002 freezes. With reduced graphics it will take about 8 minutes. With settings near max, it will take about a minute.Mostly FS2002 will just stop, then after a few seconds windows will report that "MS Flight sim has encoun…

I am really enjoying this aircraft and have read and reread the various documentation that comes with it. I believe that it is obvious that Mr Frolovs' mother-tongue is not English so I think I am missing something when I read his documentation.I have closely followed the flight instructions for the trial flight - pausing the sim when necessary - but I always get to the point where the aircraft has descended to 3300 and is lining up with the ILS (on autopilot) - when something goes wrong and I lose it!!! I can't help but feel that there is an incorrect instruction somewhere in the description of the flight - in particular , regarding the A/P.The description of the variou…

Hi there. Before I commence a flight, I like to print out my flight plan with FSNav, sid/star maps etc. Is there a utility available for FS2002 that you can PRINT out aircraft Load/fuel usage etc, after you have entered the aircraft stats. Many thanks for any help Cheers Chris

Hey GuysCan any seasoned sim pilot here tell me if it truly possible to land the FS2002 heavy jets the way they do in the real world? Of all the videos I've watched, the real world pilots just look like they are "driving" the aircraft down to the runway and land perfectly on the center line everytime with very little control input once they are on final. For some reason I cannot fly the aircraft straight down to the runway like that even with winds turrned off. I am always turning and ruddering trying to get lined up correctly but never can. Always seem to be off to one side or get a glideslope warning somewhere along the approach.I'm flying the PIC/Posky 767-300 the ma…

Is there something going on with the forums? There seems to be a lot of posts that have been around a while with "ZERO" views on them...some of which I have viewed myself and it still shows up as zero. If I go to the Display hardware settings within FS2002, it tells me that the max res I can get is 1600x1200x16. This is puzzling to me. I have the Ti-4600 card and my 21" TRINITRON can go to 1800x1400. Actually, I have been using 1280x1024x32 for a long time on both Trinitrons and find it perfect but it would be nice to have the option to go to 1600x1200x32 if I felt like being excessive. I also think it would be nice to try that setting and see if I can dump FSAA which is still something of a frame rate killer.Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks!JS

Now that my P4 is up'n running, it is pretty stunning. I have a twin-view card and dual monitors. It is generally very smooth, but amazingly I still have to manage clouds (set to 50%), cloud densities, and AI traffic (also 50%) or else frames fall. With everything else maxed, the range using for example PSS 744s with default scenery is 16 to 26 fps, locked at 26. On ground at LAX in terminal area with trucks, etc., it may fall to 14-17; once in air, stabilizes quickly at 20-22, rising to cap of 26. Visual image is very smooth, not quite TV quality, but hugely improved over the P3. Is there a way to tweak things without getting too adventurous so I can raise the avera…

Hi,Has anyone tried the Matrox Parhelia with a 3-monitor-setup. I see it advertised everywhere, but haven't heard any comments yet from the flight simming community.I'm currently using a setup with two graphics cards (GeForce4 and GeForce2) and two flat screen monitors. I was thinking of updating my system with the Matrox Parhelia, but I'm not sure how good or bad it is for FS2002.Sascha

I'm having some trouble with thrust reversers coming out on all planes w/ them. I have a yoke w/ a throttle and I when I press F2 to get the reversers out they come out a little bit for a second or two then go back in. I think the reason is because the yoke's throttle over rides the keyboard. Is there anyway I can get the keyboard to override the yoke?
