What is the "line" running through the middle of the sky? Any help on how to get rid of it? Thnks!-drew

I took Greg Pepper's excellent-looking Beechcraft Super-G18 up for a spin last night and had difficulty landing it. By "difficulty" I mean the darned thing would just float above the runway and never really lose airspeed. My last attempt was an approach at about 80knots, throttle at idle, landing gear down, flaps up, perhaps 20-30ft off the runway at the touchdown zone, but it would never set down on a 10,000ft-long runway. Airspeed would just hover right around 80knots & never drop off. If I tried to "put" it down with a gentle stick forward it would whack the props & the engine would shut down, after which I could brake to a halt. It was also behaving erraticall…

For some unusual reason I can not get the program to run on my second computer. I normally run the program from my laptop using WinXP Home with no problems. I installed it on my desktop with WinXP Pro and when I click to start it it "hangs" at the splash screen and goes no further. If I click ctrl-alt-del the task manager still shows running. After about 30 minutes I get the same message..still running but its hung at the splash screen.I emailed Enrico last week but didn't get a response.Does anyone have any ideas or recommendations to fix this. I'm using the latest download from the website.Thanks

I reinstalled fs2002 and now cannot get a menu bar in full screen mode. My prior installation allowed me to hit the ALT key and the menu bar popped up. Now nothing. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

I've read so much good stuff about the 260 that I had to go for it; but it seems to be killing my frame rates. Lots of stuttering, etc. I run a 1.8GHZ system with 512MB RAM and a GeForce 2 MX400 with 30.82 drivers ... surely I should be OK with that?Am I right, is she heavy on the processor? Hi simmers,During cruise flight, the AI indictes that the aircraft has a 7.5 degree nose up attitude. Can one of you real Dash 7 pilots verify that this is correct? It seems to be a bit hight from my experience with type of aircraft. One or two degrees would be the norm. Any one know how to adjust the fuselage attitude if it is wrong?Regards,Bob IAlias=Layabout

Hello...NTFS WORKS GREAT!!!!I just converted all my partitions from FAT32 to NTFS this weekend. I have noticed a performance increase in FS2K2 since doing the conversion!Also, I have noticed a performance increase overall in Windows XP Pro since doing the conversion.Now, many people recommend NOT doing the conversion, but first backing up ALL data first, then re-formatting your HD. HOWEVER, THIS DOES NOT HAVE TO BE DONE, if you use the procedure below!If you use the following procedure, converting to NTFS is NO different from converting while setting up Windows XP and formatting your drives then.The key is, you need to force the Master File Table to be ONE - unfragmented …

Does anyone suffer from Eye Strain :-roll as a result of simming too much?Apart from taking breaks regularly (ah! is that what autopilot is for :-)), is there any clinically proven optimum screen resolution that people know about? Are there any good combinations of brightness versus contrast that work well? Are glare gaurds good for simming for instance. I feel that MSFS 2002 is a little on the dark side to begin with so perhaps a glare guard may make things even darker...Do two types of light affect ones eyes? For example a desk light contrasting with the monitor glare? Is it better to have the main lights on apart from a single desk lamp?Do softer or stronger light …

i have downloaded every single concorde available for fs2002 and i have tried to replace aircraft cfg files and air files in order to solve the problem. i was flying from paris to jfk.everything went fine until i came for the final approach. i checked the checklist vey careful for nose, landing speed and other landing equipment. so when i neared towards the final approach i armed the autopilot approach hold. it turned correcetly but when the glide scope needle starts to go down the concorde pitches downwards but never recovers and it simply lands 1 mile before the runway. i have tried every thing but it just doesnt land on the runway.please, please help.

I usually do not fly VFR in FS, but when I do so (such as to check out a newly downloaded airplane :-) ) I will be presented with this option in the ATC menu shortly after takeoff.Thanks!

Does anyone know how to fix the problem with the taxiways and the ground turning white while parked and taxiing at KCVG? Any help would be appreciated as it is my home airport.
