Hi I just convinced my wife to let me take a plunge into a new GA card. She is getting tired of me ##### about somewhat par performance. I am currently running a P4 1.9/512 Meg GF2 MX400 all sliders maxed and I have noticed a decline in FPS within the last few months. I have done all the tweaking I can think of and I just need some expert advice on what card I should get under 200.00 US.I have read that the ATI 9000 PRO is decent and the 8500 is even better, but it seems alot of simmers overwhelmingly use NVIDIA boards.I did purchase a Visiontech GF4 TI4200 128 Meg card and FS2K2 crashed repeatedly and I tweaked and tried every driver used in the last year. Hello,I downloaded this really excellent panel (made by Bill Grabowski) for the ERJ 145. It is, I guess, somewhat complicated for a non-pilot like me. Wondering if there is any more detailed documentation on it - such as checklists to get the aircraft started etc. Thanks.

I'd be interested to know how much demand there would be for a version of MSFS which only covers the area in which you regularly fly. I rarely stray outside the confines of the UK, so the fact that you can fly to and from airstrips all over the globe is wasted on me. I have neither the time nor inclination to make transatlantic voyages on autopilot, but I do very much enjoy VFR short hops around my own country.I've often wished for a simulator which recreated the UK in fine detail, and left the rest of the world out. I have found an occasion to sing the praises of a certain Payware company I have recently had the good fortune of dealing with. The company in question is RealAir Simulations (http://www.realairsimulations.com), I recently read, on a well known FS website, that they were about to release a SIAI-Marchetti SF.260 for FS2K2, I headed over to their site and immediately purchased a copy for $25. It looked great in the screenshots. The download went fine, and the self installer with which it is supplied started up alright BUT it failed to finish the install. I just reloaded Mike T 7572 with the PIC panel, but when brought up on fly now the view is black, the panel is there, but the outside black. I remember there was a fix for this I have miss placed it and can't seem to find it in the forums. Would appricate if someone would let me know. Thanks.jim

I hadn't used the default flight planner in fs in a while and i just reinstalled FS to fix several problems that just happened without me doing anything. And now FS won't use the plans that I create using the flight planner. Please help me if you can.......otherwise i can't really fly IFR, with all the controllers, vectors and handoffs.

I have seen some pretty good textures for this aircraft, which was built by Dean Reimer and all the repaint's tell me I need the orginal fa18sngl file. I am eagerly awaiting the reintroduction of Simubuild which they said that it would be on Monday this week. It's Tuesday and all I get is a "comming soon" message.Also, Ariane stated that the "confirmed" release date of their GMAX 737 was today..still unable to get through to them.Can anyone fill me in on the progress of these two wonderful sites??

Does anyone know if it possible to program the X axis of a three axis joystick to operate analog toebrakes? FS2002 uses the X axis for ailerons. Since ailerons are not needed on the ground (but should not cause problems if they were applied), the same X axis could be used for toe brakes, which are not needed in the air but should not cause problems if they were applied. I do know that if FS2002 uses button 5, say, for a certain function, and FSUIPC uses button 5 for a different function, pressing button 5 will activate both functions. Since that is the case, could pushing the joystick to the left provide left aileron (thru FS2002) and left toe brake (thru FSUIPC)?Does…

some threads back Seba posted......this is exactly one of the greatest features.you have to select 'lock destination" left in the main menu.Then you have to enter your destination airport in ICAO code and the weather will be "locked" once you're within a certain range to your destination airport.The default is 60 miles,but you can alter to your own liking in the preferences.So if you have it set at 60 miles (which is the best etting IMHO),the weather that's currently at your destination airport will be transferred to your present location and will not change for the rest of the trip to the destination airport...I decided to try "Set Airport Destination" feature and locked…
