Anyone know how do adjust the volume for flaps, gear etc. Other than using the sliders in "Sound". ?I find that the sliders only control all volume but cant control individual volume. On some aircraft the sounds are just to loud to be realistic and on others the reverse is true.Not sure how to adjust inside the Sound Config fileany help would be appreciated.Thanks,Craig [email protected]

I am still playing with my new DELL P4 which came with the usual bells and whistles that everybody goes for today. I have it set up right next to my DELL P3 and have been comparing fps and general visual movements and such like, flying over identical scenery in the same Cessna at the same IAS (currently north shore of Hawaii, mmmm!)The P4 is extremely smooth when the P3 struggles over dense cities and airports with frames down to 7 to 12 fps. But despite the fact that the P4 has 3 times the processing speed (2.53Ghz), 33% more ram (and Rambus RAM PC800 at that) than the P3 (384 megs of PC 100 RAM), and a video card 4 times as big (128MB) than the P3, the performance dif…

I have a problem with squawkbox.I can load it just fine and get online and fly.When I try to implement a flight plan however, I cannot choose the type of plane I want to fly. It is greyed out.Has anybody seen this problem.I have tried deleting it and re installing the software but it keeps coming back. I have never had any problems before.RonCVA1701

jerrycwo4This morning I found , by accident this "Project AI" page and downloaed a program called, "Project Air Shuttle Delta". I had no clue as to what it would do. ( I have "GOBACK" so i could get rid of the program easy, if I wanted to). Anyway this program took about 6-8 minutes to install and said that it installed thousands and thousands of flightplans, airports AI aircraft etc..After the installation I cound not find evedence of ONE items or change to my Fs2002 anywhere..... in Fs2002, at any airport, flightplans ect. Me and a friend are both flying the EMB-145 and they don't show up right when online.They look as though they are a twin propped plane.We've installed the latest version Of CSL in fs2002/aircraft and the new CSL_IVAO.csv in SB.A few days ago i actually saw an EMB-145.Any ideas as to what i may have done wrong???Thanks,Steve.

In Flight planner - any way to set a way point where there is none? Is there any way to delete a flight plan in the FS2002 flight planner?Is there a single button that might accidently disconnect the throttles!! Today I set up my new DELL P4 2.53 Ghz which arrived with a GeForce 4 Ti-4600 card. It is very fast compared with my trusty old P3 which sits next to it and where I am running Fs2k2 to see the performance diff, duplicating settings, etc. (although I note that cranking everything to the right along with FSAA does hit f.p.s significantly but there's always enough juice to run smoothly.)All works great except for the FSAA function on the Ti- card. Every time I change views in the sim or change a display or other setting in FS2002, the 2-D gauges in the cockpits of the default a/c blur horribly in slow motion and look as if they are on speed. How many of you are using an LCD Flat Screen Monitor for MSFS and other sims or games? How acceptable is it? And is there a specific type or resolution that is considered the best in this technology? I use a Sony Trinitron 19" CRT fot FS, and love it. However, I'm seeing more and more of the LCD's for sale with new systems, and I'm ASSUMING they've improved. Years ago they didn't display enough colors, and were less realistic for simulation and other games (or so I was told...never tried it!}. So...I'm curious. I'd love to save the deskspace, and I think some of the new Flat Screen LCD's are great looking. I'd love your advice when putting together the next MSFS computer …

Can someone reccommend a good source for learning how to interpret Jeppesen approach plates?

The panel was basically finnished months ago, but being busy on the Dreamfleet 727 meant I had little interest in doing doc's for an Airbus so it just sat there.The bad news is, the most recent version was on my second HD (I simply never got around to installing it on the new one when I upgraded my PC) and my 14 year old son decided to take the second HD out of the PC to try in one he was building during the summer holidays. I installed the XP service pack 1, and while it seems to quicken up XPa bit, I now have a little problem with the lettering that appears when you hit SHIFT + Z in FS2002. The red letters now have artifacts behind them. Not a huge deal, but an indication something aint right.I did reload my video drivers again. Im using the 30.82 drivers because I didnt see anything new in 40.41 drivers that improved anything. Mebbe I'll try those again.Eric

I can buy an AETI Yoke plus pedals for 429.- Euro. But it is the gameport version. Does anybody use the gameport version with WinXP?Does it work well. I am so excited, but I wanna know for sure before buying that thingy.Alex

Maybe you guys can help me, how do you properly add texture only airplanes to FS2002? It seems Every time I try to change the aircraft.cfg of the original aircraft, and add the new information of the new aircraft, the plane becomes unusable. The plane sinks into the ground while it's accelerating forward, then at a certain speed (I can't see the actual speed cause the numbers jump all over the place) then plane lift off and everything seems fine, but I don't have any joystick control or key control.I usually then get rid of the new texture plane, and the original plane and then re-install the original plane again and everything would be fine.Would anyone know what I'm doi…

Hi All,I was flying the new A320 from Project Airbus and noticed that they have a very cool vortices effect that trails of the wing between the speeds of 150knts to 170knts. Is there anyway to adjust the effect so it will be visible at a lower speed like 130knts so I will be able to see it on landing? Thanks

Quick question for the FS2002 hardware brigade:Thanks to the beloved taxman overcharging me last year I now have a couple of quid to spend on some system upgrades at the moment I have:P4 1.3Ghz, 256Mb RAM, GForce 2MXMy initial thought is to upgrade the RAM to 512Mb and swap out the 2MX for a 4Ti4200, I guess the alternative being to forget the RAM and go for a 4Ti4400/4600. Would be interested in suggestions - I am particularly interested in upping the "frame rate", losing the occaisional "jerkiness" and (hopefully) finally killing the blurry textures (don't want much do I??)....Thanks for any suggestions,

HiI've recently acquired PSS's A320-200 pro and seem to have a problem. I'm attempting the tutorial flight to tenerife and have entered the flightplan into the mcdu and saved it (aswell as the flight in fs.) However, after going back into fs the following day, although i could recover the actual flightplan, other information like target altitude, flight number, takeoff data had not been saved. I re-entered it and saved the flight but upon returning to fs, it had all been lost again !!! I had a brief correspondance with just flight, the uk didtibutors, who said that it was a problen with fs2002 !!! surely this can't be right - i've never used an aircraft, third party or no…

hi all i have a 235 Watt power supply for a P3 800 with a Nvidia 64med MX400 and SD133 256 Ram and an Asus P3V4X mobo,i want to set up a second monitor with another PCI card in there, is my power supply strong enough to take on this extra monitor or do i need to replace my power supply to 300W?thanks:-wave

Gentlemen, we just released the 1.50 update for Emma Field. The new version includes the complete glider module (air tow and winch launch) and a complete new set of professional sounds. The previous sounds where done by me and can hardly be called professional.As I got to burn the CD master early next week I would like to get some feedback as soon as possible. Certainly the winch launch is not something you can get confortable with very fast but it IS fun. Our beta testers did our best to annoy us into getting better and better files so we are sure we can not get the actual 'simulation' much better then it is. this is driving me insane, the GS doesnt bring the plane down properly i land far short on the runway sometimes in the sea, also sometimes the GS needle doesnt come down with the AC whats wrong with it?it was perfect in FS2000ive tried everything having a dirty config before GS Capture and also dropping the gear just prior to GS intercept, i have close to empty tanks on board and i have tried the default 737 and some third party ac A330 737'shelp:-mad
