With Avsims upcomming Tahoe conference and the many speakers that will be there, I have two questions I would like asked.First question??? To The Microsoft Rep.....Why were the VOR/ILS/LOC intercept problems not fixed in MSFS2002 as they worked just fine in MSFS 2000 or was FS2k not really realistic..Second Question??? To the Abacus Rep.....What is Abacus vision in regaurds to develpoment of future flight sim products for MSFS as there latest releases have fallen greatly short of the payware that is available out there now....I was dissapointed with their patch for the CitationXP in FS2k2 as the FMC is no longer functionable.Id like to here their responses.http://www.fl…

Are there any good ATC sims? I'm especially interested in one that covers GA at mid-sized airports like PWK. The airspace over the Chicago area is complex and somewhat hazardous. It seems like studying an ATC sim could benefit me.

I put a question mark, as I am loath to announce that a problem has been solved, for normally as soon as I do , the perverse nature of my computer shows itself and the trouble returns. However, in this case it hasn't.Let me explain. When operating with my old computer under Windows 98, both the CH Yoke and Pedals worked faultlessly. However, with my new rig, and using the Windows XP operating system, the Pedals have given me a problem since day one. After loading FS2002, I have always had to disconnect and reconnect the USB plug and at intervals during the flight the rudder would swing hard over to the left necessitating a USB reconnection.As you see from my spec. belo…

The biggest problem for most of us simmers is the framerates.I'm using a P4 1.6 Ghz, Matrox 32MB card,640 Ram running the Fs2002using XP.Still very slow framerates when over 40 procent clouds, Adding AI activity to standard airports the rate's crash to 4 or less!Schiphol airport from Lago brings down the rates to less then 2!!What settings can I change to up the framerates?Carel.

I just bought FSSE from Lago and am trying to Jazz up TNCM, St. Maarten. Can anybody tell me where to find the scenerey that was done by Chris Kilroy and another gentleman that the FSSE update found in the avsim lib refers to? I cant find it anywhere thru any searches.ThanksEric

After flying one hour or more using the external view, the simulator freezes. The hd start to work hard and zasss!! the fs2k2 freezes. OK, I downloaded the Probst 727 panel and I must say it looks fantastic. Great job. However I do have one problem that I got fed up with and have since gone back to my old 727 panel. When setting the auto pilot the trim seems to have a mind of it's own. The trim indicator will move all the way to the bottom and the plane will pitch up to over 30 degrees. It will continue to pitch up until the plane stalls. If I switch the auto pilot off then I can pull out of the dive and recover. But as soon as the auto pilot is turned on again, it pitches up. I do have the trim set correctly before setting the auto pilot. Has anyone had this problem and what did you do to solve it? I …

I would just like to know if anyone else is having this problem with the new Nvidia drivers. Ive got a geforce 3. Im thinking about going back to the previous drivers as before I installed these new ones things were ok but I just want to see if anyone else has this problem.Its at night time with any planes landing lights. They dont seem to blend in with the ground like my other drivers did. I have been flying the terrific Dash 8 from Mr. Oleskiy and have one question about the throttles on this plane. I searched for a thread and didn't find one, so, if this has been covered, please point me in the right direction.The torque control in this plane works in only a very small part of my throttle travel distance. I use a Saitek X-36 throttle + stick combo or the pull throttle on my PFC yoke - in both cases I have several inches of travel. However, I'm at zero torque after only about 20% of my throttle's travel distance. This is making the plane impossible to land. I do not have this trouble with other airplanes, including my other high-end twin turbo prop, …

I cannot install the service pack for WinXP as I have a German version and the Pack is English. I am so po'ed. Now I can wait 3 months until MS cares to translate the stuff. Next time I will get an American version when I am in the U.S.. hi there..i have a P4 at 1.2 with 512 RD ram and a Radeon 8500LE video card. i can only get up to 24 frames max and i go down to 3 minumum...is there any way to boost up the frames? my max frames are set to 40. any reply would be helpfull

For every now and then people are asking for better .air-files and others are kind enough to mail them. But is there a place where I should turn my browser in order to find better .air - files apecially for the default planes??

If you don't have a giant hard disk like me you have to clean up fairly often and if you will look in your C:WINDOWSDownloaded Installations directory you will find 19MB of files that were used during the installation of this scenery and left there.Neal
