This poor plane seems to be MS' redheaded stepchild. There are only two repaints for it in the Library and a new panel or two -- that's it!I myself have never even flown it, although I understand the Mooney is supposed to be a very good aircraft. So can anyone tell me ..... is the default Mooney a fair representation, as to its flight model? A friend is going to do a repaint for me, and I was thinking I'd use the default Mooney Bravo. Anyone know of any reason I'd not be happy flying the Bravo?Thanks in advance.-Lindy :-wave

Hi allThe A/C when flying the localizer flys straight but off to the left about the width of the runway. Also the A/C seems to fly the GPS course but parallel to the GPS path lines. Only off about a degree but still off. So all nav stuff seems to be offset to some degree. Anyone have any Ideas? I have only done this with KSEA but will try KSFO today. I didnt know if there may have been any side effects noted from any scenery or AI traffic Add-Ons or others that may effect the nav db stuff. Any help would be appreciated. It has been a while since I havent flown IFR for a while but I do remember when I had, the nav stuff was right on centerline. Weird one!!!!RegardsBobG

Hi all,I carefully read the tread below, but could not find any answer. I am using Windows XP Professional, PIV 1,7 Ghz, 1.024 MB RAM, fast Harddrive and Geforce3, 64 RAM with newest drivers. 40...I had some good framerates of about 15 to 20. Untill i installed the new DirectX 8.2 today. The droped down to 6!! On almost all planes from other designers, not on default ones. For example i had 18 with the high res texture of KLM on the Meljet. Now it is 8!So i restored to Direct X 8.1. No change, still the same. I made a defrag, no result, i deleted the fs Config so that fs reconstructs it, without any change.Does somebody maybe have a solution on this weird problem. Comment…

I tried editing the VIEWS section so that I can view the wings from inside the cabin, and it surprisingly worked for the CRJ from POSKY, but not with the 767 or A330, which are all GMAX.Anyone know why?

I was looking at my computer configuration (P4 1.6ghz, Geforce 3TI200 and 512mb ram) and I was surprised at how slow fs2k2 runs on it. I have trouble maintaining 15fps most of the time.Then I noticed my motherboard will only run at a front side bus max of 100mhz. If I get a better motherboard, with say a fsb speed of 533mhz, will that make a big difference?thanks!

I have read the instructions for adding multiple runways etc to some airports. Say Richard Mohammed's Atlanta.Is it OK to just install the main text file without adding the other 3?In other words,there are a lot of downloadable airports that you can just import without adding runways.Can I do the same with the ones with multiple runways,just not have use of other runways?Thanks,Ron

Hi their, when the winds are forcast at say 273@13 this means that they are blowing FROM 273 degrees at 13 kts right? Therfore at Atlanta runways 27R/L or 26R/L would be in use? I set the winds at 273/13 tonight specifically so that I would be vectored to land on a runway 27 or 26 (because I only have a copy of the westerly plates). Instead I was sent round to 09L. Whats the deal? A bug in FS or have I missed somthing. I rechecked the weather with ATIS and it confirmed 273/13.Thanks

Hi,Above the high level clouds, Now in those picture you can see true real life altocumulus, and cumulus overcast, I forget to include overcast in the high mid level cloud in fs sky world, I will release much more high level clouds. In Msfs you can select altocumulus with cumulus scattered or broken. Compared (probably) to some of you, I only have a small handful over and above the default craft that came with the sim.However one of the ones I DID download was an Extra 400 in BFU livery. As I was browsing through my planes this evening (looking for one to be repainted for me), I pulled up the Extra 400. Strangely enough, I get an Error message that says FS was unable to load a 3rd party software. The file was: GAUGES/cad_StecSys55ap.GAUI looked through my Gauges folder and the file was there. So anyone have an idea why the file "couldn't" load? The plane loaded up and the panel didn't appear to be missing anything.Is there an explanation for this or is it just on…

Is it possible start each flight in the parking bays in FS2002. Not on the runway. Or is this only possible in adventures. Whats the point of requesting clearance to taxi to the runway when I am always starting on the runway.I apologise if this question has been asked on too many times, I just signed up to this forum yesterday.

Like many of you, I have tweaked both FS2K2 and Nvidia driver settings until I was blue in the face. I have tried every Nvidia Geforce driver released in an attempt to make FS2K2 perform and display at its best. Finally, it appears that my system has reached its optimum for FS2K2 in every respect. A strange thing I can't figure out. At a number of airports, (mostly ones with AFCAD updates) I get directions for general aviation parking when flying heavies. A good example is Midway, where I'm always misdirected. Has anyone else experienced this? Any clue as what to do? It is frustrating, especially if I can't remember how to get to the proper gate area.Thanks,Spruce

How do I edit "tower view" to view from my add on scenery airport enhancement? The FS2002 default position for the tower view is quite a bit off the real location? (I am using Architect 2002).
