hei,cuold somone please explaine to me how to use the ILS or auto landing system?thenx, IAI

Hi all< just want to know how u guys get all those AI aircraft to show up at the gates, in the skies,etc. I drool every time I see these screen shots with all those planes !! I have my AI settings turned up to the max but i can't see any other planes at the airport gates or in the sky- what do I need to do?

I was thinking about making some purchases soon and I was wondering if anyone knew some dependable Payware sites that offer something that freeware dosen't (one of them being a good looking LOT 737-400)? I know that Ariane studios has fully animated parts, along with stairs, opening cargo doors and so forth. How is Dreemfleet and do they offer the aircraft I am looking for? edit: I am toning down the thread because the plane is good, but not great. I don't know what came over me....too much of an Otter fan I guess...:)I am enjoying the "Twotter" very much. Panels are very crisp, but VC only has forward panel. The visibility is outstanding. Sound is kinda cheesy though. Need to practice landings...hard bird to slow down.Probably a $15 plane overall, but I'm happy with it and will fly it regularly.Thaellar

I just visited Avsim and noticed that two very talented authors have released a Gmax version of my hometown airport, St. John's, NF, CYYT!! I loaded it up, and all I can say is, OH MY GAWD!!! Hi there,just wanted to express my happyness about my private checkride today. After less than 2 months (and 2 real engine failures during private) I finally had my checkride today and now I'm officially a pilot :-)Comair is really awsome, they make you study until you don't even want to flightsim anymore ;-) but that's the way to go when the students are expected to consistently score above 90%.Anyways, I was nervous as I could be and even my short- and softfield landings were good, despite of a 12 knot direct crosswind. Hi,Can anyone please tell me if there is a way of finding out what the radio frequencies (such as ATIS, ILS frequencies) of an airport are without having to go through World - Map View then finding the airport you want and then clicking on it?Is it stored in just one file or spread all over the FS2002 directory structure in many files?It would be nice to have this information all in one file so that when you are setting up a flight you will know in advance what runways are available and what the frequencies are before you get there, especially for the ATIS where you are using real weather which can change and upset all your plans when they change the active runway.This wo…

Hi Simmers,Well I have received a small number of historical images that have made the detail on the aircraft a little more clear.I have ended up enhancing all textures for all RAAF F86 Aircraft - changes include - much more detail on the fuselage - including lots of "text" all over the place - some now have squadron specific fuel tanks - Day, Night, Dawn, Dusk texture capabilities have been included.Night texture had to be independantly developed to show a consistent grey effect overall as there were no fuselage or tail lighting effect for a fighter.Have a quick visit to: http://www.gjsmith.com/textures/f86.htm and check out the updated images and download the files you…

Hi, Be aware that's the aircraft texture quality slider control also the clouds texture quality. -If your aircraft texture quality slider is reduced, the clouds will appears less detailed and more blury effect. When I fly with FS2002 I often have annoying pauses lasting 1-3 seconds (maybe due to scenery loading?). Is there a way to avoid this frustrating issue? I tried increasing the scenery cache size, closing all applications except FS, decreasing scenery complexity, but no results.My system is:PIV 2GHz512 Mb RamGeForce 2 64 Mb video card with latest drivers.Thank you very much,Luca

Somehow waves breaking on the shores are displayed as being white solid tiles. It's very ugly, and I don't know what setting caused the graphic distortion.Any advise on how to correct this is welcome.Cheers,David

I just re-installed FS2k2 and now the toolbar does not show up when I press tab. You know, you press tab, and then you can change AC, scenery, time of day, etc. It refuses to show. What the heck is happening? Does anyone know what I need to do? I can't remeber having to turn anything on to have that working. Thanks

Hey Gang!I am about to make some changes to my system. I just purchased a 100GB Hard drive, 7200 RPM, with 8MB of cache, along with a copy of Windows XP Prof. Ed. Windows ME was driving me off the wall as most of you can imagine and with a good bargain on the drive and $50 off on Windows XP, I could not resisit taking the plunge.I will continue to use my Nvidia GeForce-2 Ultra for the time being, until I can get an opportunity to purchase a more advance card. I have been very happy with the 12.41 drivers runnning under Windows ME. Can a good soul out there please enlighten me as to what the best drivers would be for the GeForce-2 Ultra and Windows XP Pro?Thanks a mill…

has anyone had problems with this stick?I've repeatedly lost throttle access and find that now I have lost access to the hat switch on the stick...it is most frustrating... and I was wondering if anyone else has had any similar problemsrunning it on a serial port through a sb pci128, incase anyone is familiar...I have the hat switch in other games... but not here, its most frustrating

Hello Gang!This should be an easy request!Where can I get a hold of the following?1. MelJet 747-400 night lights with the proper position.2. Meljet 747-400 Vapour Trails.3. My real world aircraft is a C172SP, just like the default one in FS. I'm using FS to do some practice for my instrument rating. The fleet that I fly all have the Bendix King KLN series GPS. Is there such an add-on for FS2002? I thought maybe so, since at one time we all started up FS2002 with the 172SP.On a related question: I do have the Reality XP (based on UPS) GPS. Is there any way to increase the sound of ATC messages above the slider range in the sound menu? I am flying the King Air but I can barely hear ATC over the engines. If I turn down engine sound I can barely hear ATC. I have the ATC slider maxed already. Thanks. :-)
