Hi all,Just recently I lost the ability to see all but default aircraft in spot view using ctrl + w. Most of my AI works as advertised, and I see them at various airports taking off and landing, but not with the ctrl + w keystrokes anymore. Not that it's a big deal, but was wondering if anyone else had this problem and what the remedy is?Thanks,Mike

Hi Chris and others,It's taken me all day, but I think I finally have it figured out. I'm sorry if I'm stating the obvious, but from all the threads I've read, I think there are others beside myself who are still puzzled. Hopefully this will help.In it's default mode, MSFS comes with a number of different cloud textures, with distinctive file names. These include the following:cld.x = cumulus cloudscldcn.x = thunder cloudscirrus_x, cumulonimbus_x, cumulus_x, and stratus_x = mid/high level cloudsThe simulator itself comes with a standard set, which is used when you either manually set weather, or when you download the real-world weather. What Chris has done is to vastly im…

I'm close to filling the aircraft folder with types from around the world.Yet there seems to be a vacancy for East Asian and Indian regional types (Saab 340, Dash 8, or Beech 1900). Anybody know of a site that caters to those types of aircraft from those regions or repaints of defaults in airlines native to the area?I'm asking for help from those supreme web surfers who have explored less travelled areas.ThanksRick

Does anyone know where I can find the Piper Seneca V made by FSD International? I really like all of the Repaints and I was wondering what the website was for the original.

Hi All,Its been a few years since last visit, but upgraded computer to 2.4 so re purchased Fs2KPro with Dreamfleets 737-400.Installed with XP no problems..Well, we have moved on eh?I beta tested Fs98, and cannot belive the stuff I am seeing on the screen. Got a Flat Screen monitor with GForce 64 video card, and it is superb rendition, with P4 2.4 runninmg sim at 28-30fps!The learning curve for 737-400 with FMC's et al is to say the least daunting.Just love the vocalizations from Captain and crew. Now where did I put that microphone for some Scottish phrases to be recorded, such as "wee ur going doon man!" as this will be the case as I deep earth garden with 747 and its …

Hi Folks,With the virtual cockpit becoming more and more popular you may find a need to change the pan rate of FS2002 POV. With notepad, Open "FS2002.cfg" that you will find in the FS2002 folder.Under the controls heading, find the entry PAN_RATE={CONTROLS}something ......somethingPAN_RATE=70 Big numbers make it fast and small numbers make it slow.Bob

But what a struggle. What's he blethering about? Why, Thunder Bay, Ontario, of course! Boy, was it worth it? Yes, yes, yes! Absolutely superb, the only caveat being you have to fly between 4-6 thousand feet to fully appreciate the fantastic detail. Flight Ontario have done a marvellous job.I have always been a Go!Zilla fan, up until the most recent versions, that is. The GUI now sucks and it does not seem to be able to cope consistently with broken connections. Time and time again I tried to d/l Thunder Bay from the Avsim file library only to have my connection broken after 5-6MB and Go!Zilla failed to resume despite numerous attempts.Feeling somewhat frustrated I grumbled…

Ever since I got into flight simulation when I got FS98 when it first came out, I've been using a traditional flight stick.I thought that it was time to move on to a Flight Yoke for additional realism.I recently found out that CH Products is offering there Flight Sim Yoke USB with IL-2 Sturmovik. Does anyone know what stores (including online stores) sell this bundle? They say on there website that it would be available November 1, since that day has come and gone I assume there should be a number of retailers that sell it.I know you can order it off there website, but it's a good $40 more than what I see at other stores such as CompUSA. Anyone know of any good sites that…

Hey Gang!Is it possible that one of the magnificent scenery designers out there create a KMIA, KDFW, and KJFK in G-MAX for FS2002? Simflyers and Wilco have both come up with their own (non G-MAX) versions and even though they run at about 4-9 FPS in my machine (not that great, but semi-flyable), it would be nice to have the fluidity of the G-MAX airports and sceneries on the above-mentioned ones. I've been keeping an eye on the Wilco's reports and they don't look too promising.I have also seen the magnificent work performed by Eiichi Shimizuand his line of Japanese airports in G-MAX, and I've got to say that for freeware, those have got to be some of the best freeware a…
