Downloaded the Saab 340 in American colors from here, it's the Freeware Flight Group version, that's recently been updated. Can anyone suggest a panel for it and a fix for the VC? It looks like the VC point of view is from mid cabin, looking at the back of the pilots heads. Has anyone been able to merge the panel from Precision SimDesigns onto the FFG Saab 340?Also, anyone know when a GMAX 340 will be available?Lobaeux

How do I stop the default Beech King Air from rolling away under its own steam when I release the breaks? The throttle on my joystick is at zero but the sounds from the engines seems way too high. Do I need to tweak something using FSEdit and if so can anyone recommed settings.

I'd like to be a contributor to the screenshot forum using FS Screen, but does anyone know how I can use it while using multiple monitors? The times I've used it, it will capture both screens, putting FS on one half and the other screen on the other half. Using MS Paint, I haven't figured out how to cut the image in half, using cut and paste, it doesn't seem to want to do it. Any ideas?Lobaeux

Is anyone having a problem getting the water to animate with this program. I have installed Ed Truthan's Textures files but still no luck. I also am using the application program to make them run in tandem. The Read Me says you need Visual Basic to make the program work. I don't know anything about Visual Basic. I am running Windows 98 SE But in case I didn't have VB-5 or VB6, and VB6-SP, I downloaded them and installed them in order. That still didn't help. I can see the textures... but there is no water movement.Can anyone help me... I am using a GE-Force 3 vid card if that is important. Well, what started out as a simple gauge upgrade to add sound to the overhead switches has now become Version 2 of my panel.In addition to adding sound to all the overhead switches, I've added a VFR panel, and an additional pop up for the VFR panel, as many users have requested this feature. Also, there are now indicator lights on the overhead for the fuel cutoff and engine starter switches, which show their status.If I could please call on folks to take a look at the revised online documentation which shows the changes and the new VFR panel, and ask that any comments be submitted to this thread regarding the VFR panel.I would like to hear comments regarding any changes …

I did a quick business trip from KMSP to KPHX last week through KDEN. I was on United and I listened to the onboard ATC channel all the way. I am really intrigued by the flow of traffic that the approach controllers handle. Can anyone point me to a website where I can read a little bit about and see some pictures of the display the approach controllers are looking at as they vector a/c in to the airport? Thanks!!!!

Hello,I've just bought FS2k2 and have to admit, to be a little bit disapointed.When starting, I find my plane at the end of the runway with running engines!? Why shall I call ground for taxiing????By the way, the sounds of the Skyhawk, the King Air and the 747 sounds more like cheap computer games from the 80th than planes.Why I want to tune the radio or the engine panel, I have to open separate windwos, that occupy half of my screen.The 747 and the King Air don't have any overhead panels for engines, pumps, electrics, etc. So how do I start these engines without using CTRL+E??So, here are my questions:1. In the last couple of days, there have been several Australia airport sceneries uploaded to the Library from Charles Schmidt. I've downloaded them all and just installed the Rockhampton scenery. It's quite good with the exception of the green pyramids smack dab in the middle of what I assume to be downtown Rockhampton!An Exclude switch was included which I pasted in to the scenery.cfg, but apparently its intent was not to get rid of the pyramids.I'm also using the SATPAC terrain mesh files for Australia as well as all the landclass files.... I believe this scenery is located in Queensland.Anyone know how I can get rid of the "greenies" or maybe just learn to fly around …

I seem to be one of those fortunate ones who didn't decide to buy Cf3, not just because i'm not really keen on blowing things up, but by the shear visual quality of the program.I was very suprised that MS were actually releasing preview pictures of VERY bad quality terrain etc. The only things which i can visually comment on are that the clouds look great, so do the exteria of the a/c, but thats it!I've been reading into a few reviews on the sim - just out of interest, and they seem to be stating clearly what i've thought about the program all along - and i haven't even needed to buy it to find it out!Here's a few review links to read about:http://www.il2center.com/Media/…

I read a topic that fixed the reflections in FS2002 by tweaking the section in the display.cfg. I searched for it already. I can't find it anymore...can anyone link me to that topic or post the line in the display.cfg if you have already performed the fix?

I went for the LAS instructor panel today because some of the CFIs from my club were going to come over and see the sim. I can't comment on the program because I haven't seen it yet. All I can say is it is the most twisted registration policy I have seen to date. There is a download version so I went that route for the instant gratificatio ;-). Payment is through Paypal, which is kind of clunky. Then you get an e-mail from the company with a link to a website from which you download it. So far so good I guess. Friends,I find in the FS-2002 Pro edition a folder for a Piper PA28 Cherokee and a McDonnel-Douglas MD 83. But I can't find them in the list of available aircraft on the choose aircraft page. Does anyone know why this is the case and what can be done to activate them?Thank you,Steve

I'm not much of a math wizard but can someone walk me through the typical fuel calculations one must do to plan for a trip.I fly the Commander on FS2002 exclusively. I use the trip planner within FS2002 and know a major compnent of trip planning is fuel estimates/calculation.I know I can watch the Fuel Totalizer do the calcs but I would like to know how to double check. Afterall, what about an electric failure, then what good is all this wiz bang stuff?? Thanks for everyone's help

Possibly a collection of urban myths - but my wife emailed me this:After every flight, pilots complete a gripe sheet which conveys to the mechanics problems encountered with the aircraft during the flight that need repair or correction. The form is a piece of paper that the pilot completes, and then the mechanics read and correct the problem. They then respond in writing on the lower half of the form what remedial action was taken and the pilot reviews the gripe sheets before the next flight. Tailboom at flightsimnetwork first brought my attention to this 'Otter... I downloaded it last night, and although it is a FSDS model, it has a lot going for it. I'm currently using the 21.81 drivers that came with my Leadtek Winfast GF3 ti 500 for use with XP - as they seem to forefill all my requirements ie. quality and AA.I've been monitoring a few postings on this forum recently, and it seems that others are liking these "newer" Nvidia drivers.If i update onto some of these newer drivers would i more than likely see an improvement in my FS?AndWhich version would you recommend i update to?PS.I haven't updated because i wasn't too sure whether these later drivers still work to their maximum potential with FS on aspects such as AA 4X +....CheersWill

I am having difficult with my FS....I am experiencing operations error....For example: When I complete setup my FS such as: Traffic Volume or Resolution frame etc....I cannot get the FS running....I don't know why? I try to uninstall & reinstall the whole game but the error is there....Secondly....I cannot sucessful shut down my FS properly....I have to force the shutdown all the time.....Request immediately :-mad

Is there anywhere an explanation as to what each display slider really does and which ones are the most important say for vfr or ifr flying? This would be very helpful in tweaking for best performance.Thanks,Ron
