Has anyone be able to apply the textures for American Airlines by Michael Gallagher to any of the 8 versions of the DC-9 from Flight One. All I get is black textures. I even tried renaming the .bmp files to add the _template to the name, but no joy yet. Must be something simple, I just can't see it.Steve ParkKSDFWWW.Flightbase2000.com

Just started up MSFS 2K2 and can't find some of the airports in the "Go To" airport listing. These are default airports: F55 Granbury Municipal, Granbury, Texas; KDFW and KDAL. I don't have any idea why they suddenly won't show up. I even narrowed down the search to North America - Texas - Dallas and no listing for these. To begin, excuse me for my lack of knowledge.I want to know, how can I save a flight, in a way, that it can be seen with Windows Media Player.I used the video clip of FS2002Pro, but when I tried to see with Media Player, it said that the file was corrupted or the extension was not supported by Windows Media Player.Any help will be appreciated.Thanks in advance.Jmmen

Has anyone been able to follow the checklist completely so that there are now warning lights or bell sounds through out the entire flight? I will attempt one tonight. I am just currious if anyone is able to fly without suppressing the bells and whistles, by following the checklist to the "T"....BTW... I agree with everyone, this is one terrific airplane.....It is great for those smaller airports, besided the internationals. Flew it into Dutch Harbor, Alaska. The approach was wild, just like the landing....

I am building with Hagstom Encoders and I have pinched quite a few FS controls using Dowson FSUIPC 2.94. I would like to get the "No Smoking" and "Fasten Seat Belt" chimes to work with a keystroke but I only see a mouse click working on a virtual panel to get these to chime. Since I won't be using any virtual panel I need to get a keypress identified or assigned. I also do not see the FS Controls on the 2002 Controls list for these 2 functions. Any ideas on how I might "pinch" these as keypresses so I could hook them up to a switch on the Overhead?

Hello again:Blurry textures take two!System Specs: PIII 450 with MMX, Win98, 256 MB Ram, Leadtek GF3 Ti500 with 22.80 or 40.72 drivers. That video card just died with a cooling fan failure, and has been replaced by a Verto GF4 Ti4600 running the OEM drivers. Both cards are displaying the same problem, as outlined below.The problems is that blurry textures continue. At best the computer will render medium quality textures when 4,000-6,000 feet AGL. Cities remain the site of the worst offenders, while the desert mountains of Arizona and MT Rainier itself are rendered pretty well. I have a GeForce II Ultra, 64mb card with a 21' monitor. I am wondering if you have any suggestions as to the optimum 3D settings in the Stereo Properties section in the Display tab for the following: Gamma, Stereo Separation, Resolution and Stereo Refresh Rate????Thanks a lot,Howard

Hey Gang!I am, still in the process of restoring FS2002 in my computer after making an OS change from ME to XP Pro. I had backed up my entire FS2002 directory and I'm now at the point where I'd like to restore my old AFCAD/Airport gate info. Can anyone shed any light into which files I need to be looking at? hello all, i've got my new machine running with win xp home. fs2k2 pro has crashed to desktop[ not minimised, but gone] after a few minutes of "idling at meigs while doing some joystick settings. using the hat switsh and the "s" key to "look around". i noticed that the drop down box was black with white characters, which is different from my 98se machine. trying to figure why a more capable box won't keep fs running. asusA7V8X 133fsb athalon 1800[ stock @1.53mhx] 7200rpm maxtor 40 gb HDD gainward gf4 440 mx 64mb ddr ram system 256DDR ram. For some reason, I can not find instructions within the docs about how to open the cargo door. I've seen other posts on other aircraft about pressing Shift-E-2 opening other cargo doors, but it doesn't seem to working on the Flight 1 DC-9 product.Anyone know the secret combination? If I can't open the door on the USAF C-9 Nightengale, a lot of patients are going to get rather upset if they can't disembark. I am sure this is an easy fix.Keith

I have FS 2002 and I am useing USB CH pro throttle,USB flight yoke,USB pro pedels.I had a USB flight yoke LE working with the above peddles and throttle. I would delete the joystick assignment for the throttle on the yoke and use the pro throttle. All was well with the system.I bought a new USB flight yoke with prop and fuel levers. When I installed it the throttle part of the pro throttle stopped working.All other buttons still work on the pro throttle.I went in and made sure that the throttle on the yoke was deleted as before. And assigned the FS 2002 throttle to the pro throttle.It stills does not work??? I then deleted all of the levers on the new yoke and the pro thr…

Since I did not realise that the F2 key was used for reverse thrust, I allocated another assignment to this key (save flight). However, since reverse thrust doesn't exist in the keyboard assignments list (well done Microsoft), how exactly do I get it back ?There must be thousands of FS2002 virtual airliner pilots on this forum. Have you all resigned yourselves to simply pressing the F2 key when you want to activate reverse thrust ? Don't any of you think that this is totally ridiculous ? If anyone has a solution to this problem, then feel free to provide it.How is reverse thrust defined in the FS2002.cfg file ? If I knew this, then I might be able to define my own command…

What is your FS home airport and is that the part of the world you actually live in?My home airport is KBFI, Boeing Field in Seattle, WA USA. I actually live in Minneapolis, but for some reason, since FS98 I've been using KBFI for all test flights and as such it has become my home base.

Hey guys wuz up , im having problems with the pitch trim, everytime im landing and i move my joystick to bring the nose up for touchdown my pitch goes crazy and i go up(climing) and i have to go around on a miss approach.....is there any key to center the pitch trim so that wont happend...thx a lot for your help guys....

To All,I noticed that when I fly over the Marker Beacons (Approach or Departure), the appropriate light on the instrument panel lights up but there is no sound. This occurs with both the default and add-on panels. I have my Sound setting to High. I moved the slider for Navigation sounds to the right, but have not tried moving the slider for the Cockpit sounds yet. Let me know if there is anything else I need to check.I checked the Sound folder for the .wav files for the Marker Beacons and they are there.I also noticed that overall, the sounds in FS2002 are a bit weak compared to FS2000.Any insight into this would be appreciated.Thanks!!!FredCAT_II 2

I'm hoping someone can help me with this....I have no AI aircraft other than the default Microsoft stuff. On my aircraft menu I only have 3 Project AI aircraft showing up, but yet I have lots of PAI folders in my aircraft. I have installed:The Base InstallerAir FranceOlympicAir CanadaAir Canada TangoWestjetDeltaand several others.I'm at a loss to figure out what I have done wrong.BTW, it was the default traffic.bgl when I started the install process.Any help would be very much appreciated.- Mike

I only get likeN57 40.29 E12 17.56As far as I know there are 4 digits after the dot like 40.2912.I am placing out gates for AFCAD, so I need to know more exact. Only putting the ones provided with "Shift Z" in FS2002 will not give exact locations.ThanksMike
