OK, first I was going to ask if anyone here had any experience with Airlines 2 Business Management Simulation. It is being sold at EB and I haven't noticed it before. Then, as I started typing this I noticed the flashing banner at the top that say Airline Simulation Aviation Business Simulation. It looks like a different product entirely. Has anyone tried these? I've tried some older games that turned out to be more arcadish than anything. Thanks!David

I noticed in FS2K2 that DME readouts on DME instruments coupled to NAV receivers occur from both VORTAC and VOR/DME type navaids. My low altitude IFR charts do show waypoints defined by DME for both types.So, can I assume DME can really be read from both types (DME being noted by the rectangle around the VOR rtiangle and TAC being denoted by the bold points of the triangle?

In general I am quite enjoying the Flight 1 DC-9, but on a recent "test" flight I noticed two things that didn't work properly.First, the Mach Trim Inop light on the annunciator panel is always on. I am pretty sure I followed the checklist but it never went away on the whole trip. Anybody else see this?Second, on the ASI/Mach Indicator, the Mach band never moves and consequently is quite useless as a Mach indicator. For example, cruising at FL310, RAT -50 and IAS 300 knots, the mach indicator read something like 0.60 when it should have read about .75 or .76. HI,My pitch and mixture controls on my FLIGHTSIM YOKE have disconnected from FS2002.Calibration shows they are working but I can't calibrate them from FSUIPC.All other functions seem to be okay.Any solution welcomed.Thank you very much.Jim AlcornP.S. I did a new fs2002 install but it didn't help.

I have just installed a GF4 Ti4600 with the 40.72 Nvidia web site patched drivers, and went looking for a program to tweak it. Riva Tuner is popular, but after downloading and installing it, I'm unclear on how to adjust the variables it accesses.In the past I have used the GeForce Tweaker, NVMax, and ATuner for my last card, a GF3 Ti500, so I am reasonably confident in my abilities to navigate the tweaking process.Right now my focus is texture quality, as I am still experiencing blurred scenery. Hi all.I downloaded Jimmy Martin's awesome Caribbean scenery. The scenery really enhances my Carribean flights.However, I am noticing some object do not have textures, they are just white shapes. This is particularly noticeable in the Caribbean ships scenery and in some of the additional island airport buildings (such as MYNN). I have all the Nova textures installed and have followed his install instructions to the letter. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks.Doug

GeForce 3 ti200, OS WinXPhome.And I get the uncredible score of 2865 3d marks, while smallerPC get 8000!...Being much frustrated I wait for your kind suggestions.In FS2002 should I add, I stucked FPS target settings at 25but often get FPS under 15 when at airports with full PAI,or above some addon mesh scenery.Regards,Arnie.

Hello All. How can engine spool up and spool down rate be increased? I fly Kirk Ollsons excellent P-3C and the problem that I have not been able to overcome is the very slow rate at which the engines respond to throttle inputs.The lag is 7-10 seconds from throttle advancement or retardation until the engines reach the desired setting. And it makes small throttle corrections very difficult to set accurately. Fuel flow changes end up being the leading indicator that a power adjustment has been made.Thanks in advance. Rick

I just installed the newer ATI Catalyst 2.4 drivers today for my Radeon 64MB VIVO (Basically a 7200 with capture support), and something weird happened to the text in the game. Its translucent! It is definately weird, but cool at the same time (and sort of makes it harder to read). I can see right through the text (see pic, and no thats not jpeg deceiving you). Does anyone else experience this? I never had this sort of thing happen with the previous Catalyst drivers, or on my older comp.

I keep reading conflicting information on hardware sites regarding HD format performance. So far, I have been sticking with FAT32 under XP believing it is faster for games. I am upgrading from Via KT266A AMD XP1900+ ATA 133 setup to a SIS 645DX P4 2.53/533 ATA 133 setup, keeping my DDR2400, Ti 4400 and SB Live X-Gamer. XP1900 is currently overclocked to XP2000+ (Ti 4400 overclocked also to Ti 4600) and I will overclock the P4 as well. With my new setup, should I run NTFS instead of FAT32 as I will need to reformat anyway? Or should I run an NTFS partition for OS and utilities and run FS in a FAT32 partition?All advise welcome.Thanks.FL_Flyer

HiI have some trouble with my AI not wanting to land at my airport. AI traffic take off all right, no problems, but no traffic lands. I did an experiment and went in to the FS Traffic Mover timetable to check when a craft was expected to land and went to the airport 5 minutes before schedule landing. Good evening folks,I have stumbled uppon a very bizzar problem.a week ago i upgraded my old pII 350mhz with 320mb ram (sdram) to a Athlon Xp 1700+ and 256mb DDR soundcard is onboard.Fs2k2 started to run very nice but with one excpetional problemthe sound just kills the fpswhen i turn sound off i get 22+ fps but when i tunr it on the fps starts to reduce and boune between 10 and 15Is there a solution to this situation or do i need to consider the possibility of flying without sound or ofcourse waste more money on a new computer (which is obviously out of the question for now)btw my new motherboard is : -VIA KT266A AGPset-Socket A for AMD Athlon

It appears that when the advdisplay is showing in full screen, which is required when using the 3D glasses, that 3D will not work until the display is docked and cannot be seen.Is this correct, or am I once again doing something stupid, or is there a workaround?I have also posted this question in the Radar Contact Forum, as the AdvDisplay module is required in Radar Contact 3.Thanks a lot,
