Hi,I have the CH Pro Pedals USB and the CH Yoke USB. The pedals are on game controller #1, while the yoke is on 2, which messes up some game's controls. How can I change this? Plugging the USB cord in and out doesn't do anything. Thanks a lot,

People, does anyone know of a good ATC genarator for FS 2002, I use good old Proflight and for me its the most realistic. The default one in FS is shall we say a bit naff with only one voice set fot the entire planet and if you do not answer the controllers they just kick out your flight plan, not that good when your on long haul and need to go do something else for a few hours. So apart from Radar Contact which I think is an online ATC program are there any others with all the good things that Proflight had? is anyone developing a good ATC. Just thought I would ask.Good LandingsRB211

What are the command lists to include to do this? The particular plane I am trying to modify only has a single line[views]eyepoint #.##### #.##### #.######Which take to be the x,y, and z coordinates of the default eyepoint. (this is in the aircraft.cfg file)However, I seem to recall discussions on changing the pan rate, and zoom levels, but there is nothing in this .cfg file for that. So I have to add them. Also, is there a resource that lists all 'possible' command line switches for cfg files?

Hello all, according to the manual it should be possible to track (i.e. put a spot view on) a multiplayer aircraft. You first have to select the wanted player with ctrl-shift-t and then open a new view as track view. All goes well and a new track window opens, but I do not see the other player. It could be that the view focuses on the other player, but I don't know from which perspective this is done. Can anybody tell me what I do wrong? Or can anybody provide me with a proper way of viewing aircraft participating in a multiplayer game? All I want is a good view on my fellow pilots....Forgot to mention that I'm using FS2002.

Hello all,Just wondering if anyone has purchased some good mesh scenery out there for the good ole US of A. My question is, does it really look that much better? I mean no one likes to fly around and see the same repeating textures across the states, much less anywhere else right? Any way, if you have any suggestions or websites that I should look into for mesh scenery (primarily the US) please don't hesitate to post back! Thanks a bunch!MaulWho Wants To Fly The Big Jets In & Out Of Chicago O'Hare...I DO! :-wave

I currently have Windows ME (I keep reading how it's one of the worst operating systems released...don't know how true that is). Anyway, I would like to upgrade to Windows XP Home Edtion. The OS I am looking at says OEM. What does that (OEM) mean? I was going to purchase it from TCWO.com for $94.00. Is that a good deal? Is TCWO a good place to purchase? I bought/built my entire system from them about a year ago with no problems. Please help a fellow simmer out?Jason

Hello,Just wondering if Feel Real Flight is still around?. I check their web site every day for updates, but nothing. They have had all their RETRO CLASSIC 747 aircraft 95% complete for some time, and their Delta aircraft has been "comming soon" for a very long time as well.Their site:http://www.feelrealflight.com/Hope they are still around, I love their work. It's just hard sitting here waiting.Mike

I've read in one of the posts that DX 8.1 (or 8.2) causes a substencial drop in frame rates, is that really the case?if so am I in trouble? I heard that once a new version of DX is installed it is difficult to roll back (no, i didn't save the settings before I upgraded...)specs are:intel 1.5GNvidia mx200 64M265 RDRAMwin XPDX 8.2with a 3rg party panel (say PIC767) and dense 3rd party or very busy AP, FR may drop to 6-7 is DX8.2 the culprit?Cheers.Ha5

If you're into cold climates and lots of darkness, then Murmansk will be well known to you. The best freeware An-2 I've found to date has just appeared at fsfreeware.com. It's awesome, and has a fabulous panel. Perhaps, it'll get to Avsim eventually. It's by Vladimir Zhyhulskiy. If you're into the Ruskie planes, you're going to love this one.Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitak.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/reds.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitakv3.jpg

jerrycwo4I had burned the Falcon 50 to a CD to transfer it to another computer and when I tried to fly, I got a nasty "3rd partY error message". The overhead panel would come up but there were NO switches in the panel. I discovered that there was included in the Falcon 50 'package' a "FSSound.dll" that was supposed to go into the Modules folder. I had forgoten to put it in there. When I put it in the Modules folder, the switches appeared in the panel and all was well. Thanks to all who had helped in this matter. Someone, I don't remember who, said what the 'fix' was.jerry

Anyone having flashback memories-- especially with the release of the iron knuckles DC-9?I know I am! I remember my childhood flights on those 707's,727's DC-8's and DC-9's. I remember the airlines; Western, Braniff, Hughes, Republic, PSA, Texas-- all now gone:(I remember when everyone dressed up because it was a special occassion, and you didn't have to sit next to some smelly guy in a sleaveless shirt and grungy shorts. Meals were hot, and nobody fought with the attendants-- or stewardesses as they were. These days I fly often, but sadly I don't have fond memories about the flights. Was it a 737 or Airbus? Who knows-- they seem the same. What I remember was how c…

Hello,I've got a PIII 1 GHz, GeForce 2 GTS, Win XP PC and I am using FS 2002 in 1024x768 fullscreen mode. Especially when I am flying next to bigger airports like O'Hare, Charles-De-Gaulle or JFK, the frame rates sink extremely low up to 4 or 3 FPS. Any suggestions how to improve it without a big loss of quality?

Looking inside the Aircraft .cfg files for 3 different FS2002 B747-400 reveals that the empty and max weights are different for all of them. For example , the empty weight for the default aircraft is 401,000 lbs plus 40,000 cargo, the POSKY is 546,000 with no cargo, the MELJET is 490,000 plus 40,000 cargo. The maximum wieght for these 3 are 875,000, 928,000 and 910,000 respectively.I am reading a book called " Flying the big jets " by Stanley Stewart - the whole book is about B747-400 operations. He says "AVERAGE WEIGHTS FOR A B747-400 ON AN 8 HOUR FLIGHT ARE: - OPERATING EMPTY WEIGHT (INCLUDES PILOTS AND OTHER AIRCRAFT STAFF) 407000 LBS , PAYLOAD 90000 LBS, FUEL 220000 LB…
