I am beginning work on the development of a freeware gauge removal program. I am hoping for compatibility with FS98, FS2000 and FS2002. I unfortunatley have had problems with the afcad program and have not got it to succefully import airport files. I first import 1 aiport(afcad) file (that i have downloaded). then save to reflect the new settings.I then start fs2002 it then begins to build new database for scenery after thats complete it then. starts another process then gives me this error: "FS2002 caused an invalid page fault in module FACILITIES.DLL"I downloaded about 10 different aiports to see if it was a problem that I was causing, read you doc twice, tired the auto-installer but happen with all airports. I am not having problem getting fs2002 to work again, i replace backup files to make …

My AI traffic will work then a couple flights later theres no Ai traffic my ATC is set to 100%. Anyone else have this problem? Or anyone know how I can fix it? Thanks.-JC-

Hey folks...Happy Holidays to ALL. Perhaps some of you repainters or Paint Shop Pro gurus can help me. I recently took some photos of our home with all the Christmas lights and decorations illuminated. Unforunately, even with a flash on the digital camera(2 types used)...most of the pic comes out black, except where the lights are illuminated. I would like to try and brighten around the lights some, so you can see some of the house as well...for perspective. I have tied several tutorials and suggestions..ie:brighten night lights etc. But even when I try those, afterwards; my pics are so grainy and pixelated....it looks bad. I have 512mb of DDR 2700 RAM installed, a clean drive for FS and an AthlonXP 2000 processor. Until a couple of days ago everything ran smoothly but then the problesm started.Now:When FS starts the load process, about half way through I get an 'out of memory' error and the load defaultys back to the desktop. I have checked task manager and it shows RAM usage as between 120 and 140mb. I have disabled all activities on the start menu but no correction to the problem.I uninstalled FS and when trying to reinstall with a full installation the process stops and alerts me to a memory shortage or disk full or faulty .cab file when loading the 10Voice option. I just ask-- Why can't we get a Dash 8 (or insert aircraft here) with the model and panel readability of PSS Dash 8, the panel and sounds of the Oleksiy Dash 8, the systems and failures of the PIC 767, the visual detail of the Ariane 737-300, and the bells and whistles of the DF 737? It just seems that if we could meld all these panels together we would get such an awesome plane (well, the features of them maybe, not the actual welding and fitting of all these planes into one, that'd be pretty ugly).Just curious and waiting for one developer to develop the perfect airplane.LobaeuxBTW- I own all the above, except the PSS Dash 8, not yet, and I really do actually like them…

Has anyone tried modifying the gates for Kai Tak using Afcad? I can't seem to get Afcad to recognize Kai Tak. When I search for the airport in Afcad, the airport is listed, but the airport doesn't show up so I can select it to see the gates, etc... Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

Okay, we're taking a few steps back here...but...Does "fixed pitch" mean the same thing as "constant speed?"The reason I ask is that I'm looking at some of the default FS2k2 aircraft. For example, the C172 says it has a "fixed pitch" propeller and does not have a blue prop lever--and that's what I was thinking. The C182, though, says it has a "constant speed" propeller, but the 182 HAS a blue prop lever which controls the pitch.So...is this a faux pas on Microsoft's part, or do I have my terminology mixed up?Thanks in advance,

For anyone who is interested, I've figured out how we can have runway/ taxiway markings outlined in black! This came about following some feedback I received in another post. So, it looks like I will be issuing a second version of the Airport Environment Upgrade with these further enhancements. Additionally, I will make a few other improvements along with solving the issue with ramp/ taxiway textures not showing up.
