Does anyone know about http://www.worldairsim.com/? They released an American Airlines 757-200 package for FS2000 a while ago and it's pretty sweet. They keep saying they are going to release a patch for FS2002 but the site hasn't been updated since April 2002. Are these guys still around? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks,

Hello to all: I am making a gauge so that it works in FS2002. This is the mach indicator. It is of type of vertical sliding with the digits in the means. I programming in "C" The problem is that when I use the gauge the digit disappears for a moment and then reappears when the MACH change. For MACH 0.701 to .708 the numbers don't see. In 0.709 the numbers appear and they see up to 0.710, in 0.711 disappear until 0.718 and so forth. I made 2 gauges one of 2 digits (MACH 0.00) and one of 3 (MACH 0.000), in both it passes the same thing. In that of 2 digits each 0.08 and in that of 3 digits each 0.03. In FS2000 work fine. Is somebody able to help me?…

I have a question. I am currently running an Athlon XP2000+ CPU ON an ASUS A7V333 MBO. I have two sticks or 256MB DDR RAM 2700. There is one remaining slot for an addition stick of RAM. I would like to add another 256 MB. HOWEVER, according to ASUS. If the third slot is used, all the RAM on the MBO drops from 2700 to 2100! So, instead of 512MB@2700 I would have 768MB@2100. I am not sure whether this would be an upgrade or a downgrade!! Any suggestions??John-PaulToronto

I have four, totally unrelated questions about FS2002 so I thought I'd just post them all in this one thread.1. In Flight Unlimited III, there's an excellent weather generator. I have included a screencap of it.It allows you to just drag a slider to select how severe you want the weather to be, and you can also select season, time of day and even the moon phase. Hitting Generate would then generate a complete weather system with moving fronts and a great variation of clouds. Is there a similar thing for FS2002? I usually just use the Real-World weather feature, but now it's winter in the parts where I usually fly, and I prefer to fly during the summer, so the real-world we…

Whilst playing with Traffic Tools it suddenly occurred to me just how interesting it is to watch all the AI a/c movements. I have found a snag though, you can only tune to one frequency at a time.I would love to have Ground,Tower, etc all available to listen to, just like on a normal airband scanner. Does anyone know if this could be done and how to go about it ?

Just wondering what you Dash owners are getting framerate wise. I have read several posts on this subject and from what i can tell it is extremely demanding. This will effect my decision to purchise it, since my 1 ghz machine might just produce a slide show with the dash. Thanks for any replies.

Just going thru some of my CD's and came across my FS Traffic CD. Now that would be a handy item for those out of the way places the AI can't get to. I had that program honed down to a science. Just sit back and watch your work. Only thing that was really needed was your time to make the tracks. Oh well...

Can someone please tell me what kind of performance this card (chipset) will get me. I don't want to spend over $200. I will really only use this card for FS. I just need something better than a VooDoo 3 3000 - though it has been good until now.

I realize that Dreamfleet has been around and has produced exceptional products, and that most of their customers are happy. I myself was satisfied with the overall product, mainly because of the fantastic 737 cockpit. However, I wasn't completely satisfied because I felt that 1) I was misled 2)the FS2002 "eye candy" wasn't being utilized to its full potential (I understand why)as you commonly see in "freeware" FS2002 aircraft today on the net.I would like to elaborate on my two points listed above.I felt that I was misled in the advertisement of the "Greatest Airliners-737" because I was under the impression that I was purchasing a DF737 for FS2002, even though the pack…

I was flying the Seneca today and there were some weird Phenomina, strong winds in the south of the UK flying down to Plymouth with overcast clouds while deep blue one hundred miles North and hardly a drop of wind. The air too was strange with silky smooth air but some quite violent patches of clear air turbulence.I came across this strange depression carved out in the clouds. The picture is untouched and I cant remember the line running down it.I presume this is some shadow effect or light change due to the camera.Flying over the depression there was a massive sink rate with the aircraft on autopilot.Any ideas?

I am very interested in the Ultimate Hong Kong v2 that was released recently. I am curious though, how bad of a frame rate killer is it? My frame rates aren't that good anyway. Their system specs state that a PIII/800, 128 Mb RAM and 32 Mb Graphics video card is the recommended system. I have a PIII/800 with 384mb ram and a Geforce 4 TI 4400, but I just want to hear some feedback before making the purchase if anyone out there can advise. Thanks!KP

  21. When departing VFR from an airport with no control tower within the 30nm Mode C range of Class B airspace, but remaining below the Class B floors, do you still need to contact ATC? I'm assuming if so you just need radio contact and not any clearances. But if so, what's the proper phraseology and who would you contact? Thanks,Persephone

Peter,Since you are a R/W Seneca pilot, have you had to opportunity to try the FSD Seneca add-on for MSFS2002 and if so, how does it compare to the real thing (within the inherent limits of the sim world of course).Thanks.

HiI have the following problem:I installed a new system using WinXP.I installed the new 40.xx drivers from NVIDIA for my Geforce 2MX400 and the Monitor drivers for my Sony monitor.FS2K2 runs perfect in the window mode, but as soon as I switch to fullscreen the monitor refresh rate drops to 60hz.Some other games are fully unplayable, as the monitor keeps lack when switched to fullscreen.Did I missed to install some drivers? I'm using a VIA mainboard, everything worked perfect with my old System (Win98). Did I missed to install some VXD graphic drivers??Or is there any "Monitor Hz refresh rate tool" that always keeps the rate at 85Hz and prevents it from droping?Any help is…

I would like to add popup descriptions (those which appear when the mouse pointer is moved oversome gauges) to several gauges which do not have them. Can anyone explain how to do this?I have looked through the Microsoft AircraftPanels_SDK files, in particular the Panels SDK.doc.The section headed Mouse Rectangles talks about this procedure (MS calls these popups ToolTips),and also the associated HelpIDs.doc, which lists all the available popups. I have tried seaching some of the FS2002 .gau files to find the part which defines Mouse Rectangles parameters but without success so far. However my file viewers show .gau files mainly as unintelligible characters with only a few…
