I usally dont like EXE installers so I usually run them to a temp folder then manually install the files,I ran into something odd the other day after I ran the boeing 307 EXE to a temp folder.Everything worked fine till I fired up the reality xp gps, it could not locate the data files(GPSDATA.BIN)in the fs2002 root directory, A search through the registry revealed that after I ran the boeing 307 to a temp folder it change the path in -HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftMicrosoft GamesFlightSimulator8.0 and the key in there "EXE PATH" The EXE path(string) changed from c;program filesmicrosoft gamesfs2002 to the temp folder location I ran the 307 EXE to.I have never seen an…

Hi Maury,If possible, could you check on the collision "bubble" around FS-CoF aircraft. MS implemented a nice fix in CFS-3 (as compared to CFS-2) that reduced the collision bubble requiring an actual collision to cause a crash between aircraft. FS2002 has a rather large bubble that prevents one from close formation flight (with an AI aircraft for example). My hope is this issues been addressed in FS-CoF as well.Thanks,

I have been playing multiplayer FS2002 for a while now with my brother. We have a Linksys router to share the internet and are playing over our internal LAN. It worked great until yesterday.Starting last night when we go into multiplayer I can see the server my brother created and am able to join it, but it never shows me on his computer. I also don't see him in the chat windows either. It is like I am not there. It is the same if I host and he joins as well.The only change that was made to my computer was that I uninstalled Zone Alarm yesterday. Hi all I need help getting Bill Brabowski ERJ panel to work with Fs2002. I am using WinXP pro and when I tsrat Fs2002 up and go to select aircraft I get the message that the gauge named ERJ.gauge is not compatible, or words to that effect and needs to be disabled-so i removed this file altogther and now I get the aircaft but no gauges show up on the panel- is the problem Win XP and how can i resolve this problem??

I just downloaded the new freeware Dash 8 and when I try to fly it and click on it on the load screen in FS2002 I go right back to my desktop.I tried to just load up the default 182 and than select the Dash 8 but still get ctd,any ideas? Jeff G

After hearing that the Microsoft team actually looks at these fourms I felt compled to give a few of My hopes for the new simulator. My first hope is that they update their airports from around the world. What I mean by this is some airports have changed. When I say changed I mean things like extra runways extra taxiways new bulidings. For example, they have had the same set of for Manhattan regional (KMHK) for the last 2 versions. even before fs200 was released they extended the taxiway all the way down to runway 3 and added a new terminal buliding. My next wish would be the ability to declair an emergncy.that would be cool~Eddie

Pretty much everything else that appears on a VFR chart is reasonably representable in FS2002. Railroads I believe are the main thing missing. They are extremely useful for real world VFR flight, especially in rural areas where they stand out more from the landscape than in cities.I won't go so far as to suggest that they make MSTS trains run on the lines. This may ##### some off and worry others but since CaptainSim has already released their wonderful 727, Dreamfleet should waite for FS09's release before they release theirs. I personally don't see a need for two FS2002 versions of the 727 when we can all wait for a new aircraft with all the bells and whistles of the new technology. To add to this I would much rather see a new 727 with a full functioning VC verses the 2D/3D switch back thing again. What more could they add that CS hasn
