Hi, I was wathing one of the videos of FS9 in flightsim.com files library and while the vintage airplane was doing a stunt flight by passing through the door of a farm hangar, I saw chikens?! running out of the hangar door!?!

Im a little curious over the fact that it was announced ion the forums that AVSIM has loads of exclusive shots and they would be posted a few days ago...then while over at Flightsim.com they have about 10 videos and images of all new aircraft...is this what we were going to see at AVSIM?Thanks in advance :D

The expression of this new version being a patch makes me sick. I love FS2002 with a few small problems. Almost 95% of them are being covered as improved for the next version so I read. Ever since I've been simming starting with 98 its been a whole new sim when it comes to engine and visuals. I'm very happy with 2002 looking at it as a main engine. They don't need to re-create the wheel to me just improve it. After I start the engines, I can only get the far left engine to respond to my CH Yoke and Throttle. Any ideas? Also, how do you turn on the Virtual Panel lights?ThanksEd

Hello everybody, this is my first post on this forum, and I decided to sign in because I think nearly all of who posts about the new sim, features, release dates etc. misses the point in the subject.This summer will be 100 years of flight, so this date is really the deadline for a commemorative release of Microsoft Flight Simulator, whatever are the features...just my 2c (EURO)Francesco(from Italy)

Gaad - that would be great. If we could get slope lift, rotors, ACSL clouds, mountain wave etc. etc. I live and fly (sim and real life) in the Yukon - mountains all around. Wind is a HUGE factor in any kind of flying, and so far in FS, it only affects your ground cruise speed :-(They have the mesh/terrain data. They have the new and improved looking weather model.Please oh please - put em together! ;-)

When the new sim was announced , a few people said they would wait to see what other people had to say about it before they purchase it - and I thought silently that that is what I would also do.But after reading Maurys' review and looking at some pics, I have changed my mind. I will be buying it the moment it is released!! :)Barry

Could someone please tell me what the target framerate really does and what is its advantage? Also, what is the difference between bilinear and trilinear filtering? I've tried both and don't see much difference other than a slight difference in framerate. Thanks.

Everybody is talking about the new weather system and atc. I was wondering if ms has improved the sounds aswell. Of course sound is the thing that immerses yourself into a game. Just imagine flying without any sound. It feels like you aren't there. That's why I was very dissapointed as fs2002 was released. All the boeing's had the same bad and boring sound files! On top of that those sound files where taken from fs2000! It looked like the developers didn't care much about this importent issue.So hopefully all the sounds in the new sim are accurate and newly recorded in better quality. Hi all,I have a friend who, at my suggestion, went to download the Meridian last night- until he saw the Win98 clause on the download site (I have XP, so haven't been through this). With his permission, here's some of an e-mail he sent to me:".......I went to get the meridian last night but saw that there may be some campatibilty issues asociated with Windows 98, which I have. It then goes on to give you a download of the Garmin GPS to check and see if your system will run properly. Hi, Finally Microsoft will have GREAT Environment and weather, If you have read avsim preview and flightsim.com preview and see all video in flightsim.com screenshots, from the snow selection,sun effect glare, rain, dynamic sky color depend on the area, season, time, altitude change ,clouds effect, clouds type and THESE ARE DEFAULT ONLY. FSW will clearly release fs sky world for fs2004 with 4x if not better result than fs2002 and fs9.0 including full environment feature and stuff, the capabilty in fs9.0 is clearly here. Are there suppose to be sounds for the tires when you touch down in the meridian? I'm so use to having that glue to know when I'm on solid ground.

like that european scenery ( I forget the site)gave the rwy depth with a type of 3d snowbank along the rwy..really changes the perspective compared to the 2o2 defaultMy opinion :)MB
