I want to know if any one else has had this problem and then hopefully someone can help me resolve the problem. This has happened on a number of aircraft so I have eliminated that as the cause. When flying in Europe from England east over the English Channel my frame rates drop to 1.0. This has happened while entering France and also into Belgium. I use WXre for weather and I have FSscene for Europe installed. I have flown a few times in Europe before but not as much as I have been lately. It did happen once comeing west once but for only a few minutes. My last flight it was happening so often that I stoped my flight. One of the ways to cure it but only for a few minutes …

Has anyone heard whether or not the snow and rain effects on the windshield will be visible in virtual cockpit mode? This would be a sorely needed feature.CH

I am using a Logitech Wingman Extreme 3D joystick. Mainly I have been flying 'heavy iron', but in the last few weeks have got interested in light aircraft - Dash8 (by Oleksiy Frolov) and an equally fantastic Lake Renegade (RSDESIGNGROUP) = now I now notice I'm getting 'Rudder flutter'! this occurs during taxying and sends the aircraft dashing every whichway, it's most offputting during the TO roll. It has been suggested that this 'flutter' problem may be caused by 'noise' from the joystick rudder axis. How do I check my joystick for 'noise'? Can it be corrected or does it mean a new Joystick? Any help would be appreciated.

Clouds will be in 3D meaning that they will now be "objects" manipulated by the simulation engine, right ?Can we infer that weather radar can now be implemented ?Dominique

Hi,Stated in avsim preview. Also cloud colors change with time-of-day producing dazzling dawn and sunset effects. The sky also darkens as you reach higher altitudes."here an little video, look the sunset how it's large and blend, not comparable to fs2k2 at all and the lightings on clouds, in fs2k2 it was all black clouds at dusk and unrealisitic, also the lightning on clouds in general was not like real life at all in fs2k2.-Dusk with color on cloudshttp://simmarket.com/special/Lockheed_Vega.WMV-How the clouds stick in 3d now compare to fs2k2, when the aircraft is at low altitude and the clouds arew at high altitude, no more disappearing clouds to high level clouds (cirrus…

I want to thank the guys who helped out with the search for sounds for my Phantom II's a few days ago - now I need more advice. Any idea where to get a good set of sounds for an F-14? I've got fairly good sounds for my 15's and 18's, but the sounds I have for my 14 leave much to desire...Thanks in advance :)Scott

When I land the airplane I don't hear the touchdown sounds. I have the following lines in the aircraft's sound.cfg file:[left_TOUCHDOWN]filename=cmtouch7minimum_volume=15000maximum_volume=18000[center_TOUCHDOWN]filename=cmtouch2,noseminimum_volume=15000maximum_volume=18000[right_TOUCHDOWN]filename=cmtouch7minimum_volume=15000maximum_volume=18000I made sure the wav files are in the sound directory. What gives?

Ok, I'am making progress. Got all the engines to respond to my CH Throttle (FSUIPC). Now I have one last problem. On the 2d view, when I look straight ahead everything is clear. When I look out the sides (or any other view than straight ahead) I have a black revolving halos. It is wierd. Like going through some time warp or something. In the VC view, I have the same thing. If I look straight ahead, in the clear 2d view, for a while and than switch to the VC, it is clear for a second (as the layers build up) and when goes to that black halo thing again.Any ideas?Regards,Ed

I want to know if there is a way to keep planes further apart on approach/final.If I have too many planes landing in the same period of time there are multiple GO Arounds and I usually land right behind an incoming plane or I have to execute a TO/GA myself. Is there a parameter in the FS2002 cfg file that might be changed to accomodate high traffic, which would force further separation between aircraft??? I would also like to know if there is an AFCAD file for the SimFlyers KATL that uses both parallels eg 8R & 8L for approach and 9L & 9R for T/O/Thanks

Hello to all, today, I was checking www.antycyclone.be to learn more about their up-coming project. Well, what a surprize had greeted me. They have completed A320PIC development. B/c many people were asking for a FS version of A340, they have decided that it would be wiser, since all the codes are going to be same regardless if the product will be stand-alone.Now, this have made my day. I was looking forward for a recent A340 sim for a long time, and now hopefuly, my dream will come true. That's all,Cheers,Andrej L.

What is a hard drive made out of, is it metal shaving a layer of metal off when you format? Does this degrade the performance of the drive? I'm probably way off but I'm just guessing. Thanks for the help.

Hi Ha allUsing a CH Le yoke(Usb), suddenly discover 'hat sw' refuses to work in flight mode, although the Keyboard keypad commands do.The reason I mention Flight mode, is that it works fine in 'Slew Mode' which I have been using alot lately in connection with the scenery design I am doing.I have looked in the FS2002.cfg, gone though all the options in the Assignments menu, checked the calibration, deselected/selected joystick in the controls menu. I have rebooted pc. I have a PFC.ddl installed for a thottle console unit I use and a FSUIPC.dll, and can not detect anything that may becausing this glitch I tried uninstalling any recent sceneries from the 'Scenery Library' m…

About this time last year (I think), there was an Around the World challenge on this forum. All who participated had a great time. This year, I thought that we could do that sort of thing again, except this time with a twist. As most of you have realized by now, I'm not a regular poster on this forum. I belong to the one over on flightsim.com. The idea is this:We want to challenge you all to a race around the world, in flight simulator. There will be more on rules later, but the basic gist is this:At a designated time, the race would begin. We would pick a starting airport (under consideration right now are KBOS and TNCM) where both forums would be required to start fro…

It would be great to have two things that X-Plane has, that really add to the experience.1. Moving traffic on the roads (cars and trucks, both day and night).2. Weather radar available on the NAV display. Thanks
