Hi all,Got my new PC today after the "horrific" hard disk failure last week. Needless to say, I've been setting everything up today, and am anxious to see how MSFS flies on this new "power system".Tell me, what is the BEST way to get all my payware back that I legitimately paid for? I failed to back up the last 2 months or so. I did have a lot of planes, packages, panels, etc. I do not have my Active Sky, my latest 747 (Pushback), and I'm sure as I get loading stuff here, I'll find more that I should have. I'll NEVER let it go that long again without backing up, but for now, anyway, I'd like to get back some stuff. How would you go about getting your stuff if you were me?…

Hey Gamg!I have some AI traffic that seem to fly in tandem and/or fly on top of each other - especially during landing (looks weird). I suspect I have some duplicate flight plans in my Flightplans file. Is there a good utility out there that can help me identify those and get rid of them? I have AITM and TTools Companion but those don't seem to help me identify duplicates, unless I am utilizing them erroneously. Any help is greatly appreciated.Sincerely,Dennis D. Mullert

Hi, everyone I am having a real strange problem [seems that is the only kind I ever get] that I have never heard of. It is with fsmeteo. I have been using this program for about 3 years with no problems. But now for some strange reason when I use fsmeteo if I put kmco,korl,or kdab as dest. airport fs2002 almost stops and you can see fsmeteo running about every 10or12seconds if you whatch the task manager. What is weird is it is ONLY if I have one of the airports set as dest. Marc has been trying to help me for about a week. I have reinstalled fsmeteo I have ver5.2. Ihave fsupic ver.2.972 {I have tried all of them back to 2.94] I have deleted fs2002s cfg.file and rebult it…

I am currently considering a major upgrade to my computer (in the end it'll probably be a new computer, lol) and I was wondering how Intel compares to AMD for games currently. It used to be AMD all the way for speed and such but nowdays it looks like Intel has caught up and perhaps passed AMD...not to mention AMD isn't/wasn't exactly known for being the most "stable" platform out there, lol.I currently own an XP2100 but I am considering an XP2700 OR a P4 2.66(533).What would you guys reccomend???Also which mobo would you choose with your selection????If you choose Intel is it better to go with one of the mobos that uses the DDR technology or is it better to stick with the…

There was a forum user here who had done a ton of analysis on CFG tweaks for terrain textures - he had all the links to the analysis in his signature etc... Hi,I bought a new computer yesterday. Problem:My old AETI Yoke is gameport but the new computer will not support gameport at all!! Not even if I install a soundcard with a gameport. How are the options to convert the gameport to USB? How good is the stuff u can buy.? While flying my B757 the spot plane view showed me that my #2 engine was on fire with trailing black smoke. I had no indication of this on my panel in the cockpit view. Is there a gauge that I can add to the panel that will indicate and engine fire?Thanks for any help you can give.Robert Fisher

Hello all,I have a question concerning AI traffic,WHERE did it go???I started FS2002 and went flying but no traffic.I had just installed world water upgrade 1.0 (there was no read me so I put it in textures)Did this mess something up?? Because my two year old son has taken in interest in flight simming with me, I'm re-exploring the idea of enabling crash damage so that he doesn't develop the impression that crashing into the ground has no consequences. I am aware from searching through the forums that one needs to put an entry in the .cfg file for each plane that I want to show damage on. But here's what I can't figure out:If I set the realism settings to detect crash and reset flight, then I never have the chance to see the damage caused to the plane, because it resets immediately.I I set ignore crash, then I can't choose to have stress cause damage or to have collisions with other aircraft cause dam…

I had to reformat my hard drive and reinstall FS2K. When I go into settings I only get display tab, the hardware tab is missing??. I tried reinstalling three times and every time the hardware tab is missing.Thanks in advance for any suggestions

hi guys! i cant seem to get the zlin 256 to load so i can fly,i got it as far as being able to pick it to fly but when i hit the fly button it tells me that some 3rd party software cant be loaded.does this sound familier? i'm running flight sim 2002pro with windows xp.i before never had trouble with 3rd party planes before but was running win ME at the time with winzip cant seem to get any to got in all the way with xp if thats the problem at all. thanks for any info

Hi,Recently I have bought a GoFlight 166VRP. Using v.1.25 software I set main avionic funcition as ADF, Left function as COM1Com2_toggle and right function as Nav1Nav2_toggle.Starting MSFS ADF frequency is displayed but when I select left or right function then posibilities to go back to ADF again are not availables.Suggestions to solve this problem will be welcomed.Regards and thanks in advance,LuisSpain-European Comunity
