Is there a (formula tables? charts?) used to determine fuel consumption of a 737-400. I would like to do realistic fuel planning for DF734 including calculations for consumption for climb, cruise, headwind/tailwind, descent and of course my holding fuel plus 45 minutes beyond that.I have seen Excel planners, but do not have Excel and don't want to spend a pile of cash as I wouldn't use Excel other than for the fuel planning.I want to maximize my cost effectivemess by getting my a/c as close to max takeoff weight as possible with out sacrificing pax or cargo.Thanks in advance,Adam

Hi,Ok does anyone know how to create mist or fog in FS? What I was thinking of was various levels of density - so you go from a thin mist to a think fog.Oh and how do you make the clouds move with the wind or can it not be done?Keith

I built my dad a PC last year and he is currently hooked on Combat Flight Sim 3. It runs well on his system although I don't have all sliders anymore than at 'average' settings. He asked me whether there are any other good combat type sims available. I was thinking of getting him IL-2. Just wondering how it might run his system though... WOW!Actually i am the one that is very SAD!! Just seen on the local news here in Honolulu, that Hawaiian Retitred thier Last remaning DC-10 today!! The last DC-10 flight arrived from L.A today as Flt#1! Man I rode on these DC-10's a couple of times during the trips to VEGAS, L.A! I am really going to miss these AWESOME SHiny Tri-Jets!!-:( there are not too many that fly to HNL Intl anymore except for the Northwest and Omni Air International DC-10's and the occasional FED EX DC-10. but thats it, all are now 767's and 777's! never been on either of these new jets yet! But I am still fond of the ole DC-10! I will miss them greatly! RIP HA DC-10! MIKE-:(

Eaglesoft snuck in a few screenshots here a while back. It looks like their Beechjet/Premier project is evolving nicely, and close to release. Hi again,Still fighting the scenery studders......here is the system:Windows XP Home EditionGEFORCE 4 128MB TI420041.09 Drivers512 MB RAM4o GB Hard DriveAMD XP 1600Seems no matter what I do, I still have the studders..tried the 29.42 driver and had the same thing....have all sliders about 3/4, and even reduced them and still had the problem... Monitor is at 75 HZ...did not have this prblem with windows 98....only when I went to XP ??Any of you guys with ideas, it sure would be appreciated !!Many many thanks, JimTucson

When flying commercial airliners such as B757's and A320's I cannot raise the speed of the plane past 350 knots. Can someone tell me how to raise the speed of the airplane without getting 'OVERSPEED" cautions?Thanks

Greetings (again)!Re: Addon Scenery FolderSeems like no matter what scenery I add to the 239th area, MSFS2002 crashes. Area.238, fine. No problems. Area.239 and it hangs up upon rebuilding the scenery data then wants to send a tech report before crashing.Perhaps it's just me, or is this a known issue. Hi everyone. If this has already been discussed, please forgive my rehashing. I was wondering if anyone has figured out how to make the FS world look brighter on clear and mostly sunny days. To me, even at high noon, without a cloud in the sky, everything still looks dull, as if it were overcast. I've tried adjusting the gamma on my video card, but that ends up washing everything out.Is there a CFG setting that can be tweaked? Thanks,JonathanKATL

Lotsa buttons, lotsa hats, 2-stage trigger, micro-stick ... yeah baby!!However ...I've configured FS2002 to use the throttle's Z-axis for "Throttle", XR-axis for "Prop Control" and S1-axis for "Mixture Control". FS2002 recognizes the axes, but can't get the controls to thier highest and lowest settings (F4 and F1 equivilent) using the throttle's controls. I am flying to EGLL at FL390 in the PSS 744. The displayed TAT on the Upper EICAS is -39C as compared with a rather higher (I mean, it's usually around -27C) TAT on other flights. Perhaps this is because I set the air temp to -2C at KIAD before liftoff.Anyway, I observe that while the commanded Mach speed under FMC control is still 0.862, the displayed TAS on the ND reads only 472. Normally it reads 490-495 at this FL on this type of flight. IAS of 266 apears to be normal.Why does this much lower TAT that I currently see on the EICAS have this kind of affect on TAS?Appreciate posts, thanks!JS

Throughout the ongoing dialogue on FS2K2 troubles, I recall an issue with the so-called "blurries." I read some of the posts, but since I didn't have the problem, I didn't it take too seriously.But now, the "blurries" have struck my computer!I did a search to try to find the subject, but came up empty. Does anybody remember if there was a cure to this?It's a disaster! All textures, except for PAI and FSP aircraft, including ground textures, all completely out of clarity. There are two red buttons on the top left of the CH Products USB yoke (the ones that select the 2D/virtual/tower/spot view).These buttons often stick in the down position, and I have been unable to free them up. I have cleaned the buttons with alcohol, sprayed them with silicone, and blown them out with compressed air but they continue to stick. My inclination now is to remove the plastic cover that holds the buttons in place so that I can clean underneath but I don't know whether or not the cover can be safely removed and replaced.Any button-unsticking advice is appreciated, especially on the subject of removing and replacing the plastic cover that holds the buttons in …
