Hi,Well, like a good chap, I posted in the 'relevant' Hardware forum but the sad reality is that very few visit that forum regularly and admittedly, as ever, I am feeling a little impatient for a response ;) . So, I repost here in the hope that there is someone who can help: "I have a SB Audigy card installed in a P4 / Windows XP Home (SP1) / DX9 based system. Yesterday I decided to update the drivers by d/l and running the latest executable (dated 31/12/2002) from Creative Labs. My previous drivers were dated 12/8/2002.The process seemed to complete smoothly without any apparent hitches and at the end the system was rebooted. However, on re-running DX Diagnostics I find t…

This makes a huge difference to the Winnipeg area!I even think I saw the Perimeter Highway on my brief tour around the area. I drive down from the north regularly right past the airport on 90 south.I have something you might be interested in to compliment your scenery if you want to drop me an email. Thanks again!Adam

I've seen claims here and elsewhere that you can only install 332 scenery layers in FS2002. I found out today that this is not the case. I have 345 scenery layers installed at the moment, and they all still show up.It is true however that if you open the 'scenery library' (world menu) only 332 sceneries are listed, but that doesn't mean that the sceneries which are not listed have disappeared altogether. Navaids and ATC also remain functional.I use FSNavDBC, a utility that comes with FSNavigator, to add sceneries to scenery.cfg, and this still lists all the sceneries and happily adds new ones too.I was afraid I was at the point where I had to choose which sceneries to del…

Long and Boring...First off I would like to thank Ian K for some assistance with regard to my pursuit.I have searched the internet for tables that can assist me in accurate fuel planning for my DF734-400. To date I have seen tables that display data for trip fuel consumption. I do not know if these include climb and descent; whether the lbs/hr are based on an average taking in to account climb, descent etc. What I want is a complete set of tables used by actual 737-400 pilots to calculate precisely how much fuel is needed. I need tables for wind component, actual a/c weight, altitude etc.I seem to recall having a great number of tables for my PMDG 777 for the Fly! series t…

Hi folks I am seriously considering buying the Flight 1 Meridian as i am really not a GA fan but this product looks very promising indeed,my only concern is thaT I have read that it takes some fairly serious horsepower to run efficiently and with this mind my current system is an Athlon 1200,768 mb ram, radeon 7500 64mb card-does anyone have Meridian installed on a system similar to mine and how does the Meridian function on it??

aircraft over at that other site. Real nice air file, and a hoot to fly. Bet you can't three point it the first time to land. Oh, the sound file is not so good, however, I installed the latest P38 sound file and it's acceptable.Regards,Bob I....in sunny Florida

I have a problem in Justflights "World Airports" at LIBD and LIRF - the taxiway is "bumpy" and looks like grass. My nose-wheel breaks and this must be an error in the software. I have uninstalled and installed the software. Please help me .

I'm trying to land a 747-400 using the autopilot and settingthe approach mode in the autopilot. What is happening seems to be that when the glidescope indicatetime to turn right to intercept the ILS the I lose height and thespeed goes up and I hear warning sounds. I come in to low and crash. What needs to be done? Before the turn what should my speed and flaps be. According to a book about Big Jets a 747-400 has a speed at 170 KIA when in traffic pattern. This does not seem to work. When must I disengage the autopilot and handfly the airplane? Also where is the VSI on the 747-400 panel?

Posted last night with a problem I was having with a TM Cougar HOTAS stick. After 6 hrs of poking and prodding :-8 I finally tracked it down to incorrect joystick axis scales in FS2002.cfg.Question is this: Does anyone know what the scale values should be?I found a really obscure thread on a VA board (thanks Google!) which had a fix for a throttle range problem. It suggested increasing the throttle scale value to 130 from the default 127. I set my scale to 130 (FS2002 defaulted it to 71 ??!?!) and all works well ... but I have no idea what other scales should be (i.e. for mixture or trim axis if they're mapped)Anyone with any ideas??

HiIve finally accepted the inevitable and installed windows xp at the weekend after several weeks of frustration with pss's excellent A320-pro running on my windows 98 system. I'm aware that xp does a lot of tasks in the background that may not actually be required. Does anyone have any tips or links to articles regarding xp settings that have either a good or bad effect on the performance of fs2002 ?Thanks Gary

I have read a test in a computer magazine that reaches this test result. If memory is increased from 256M to 512M the performance in games actually decreases (Win XP). They tested 3D Mark. And I suppose this would hint to that upgrading from 256M to 512M would make FS2K2 perform worse instead of better.I find this result a little bit strange. How can more memory decrease the performance?
