I am sorry I know this is not realy related to FS but I figured I would get the most help here. I just finished upgrading my computer to a PIV 2.8, new Asus MB, GEForce 4 TI4600 etc... the problem:After installing XP , with the default MS drivers, ran the install of the Nvidia 29.42, did NOT restart. I went to change desktop settings and could have 1600 resolution. After restarting Windows, I can only get 1280 max.. ( I changed the fonts to large b4 restarting, after having the problem I reset fonts size to normal but no help)Anyone has any idea what could be wrong? ... thanks a bunch

This is a great panel! No doubt about it! When I load the panel I hear what appears to be the cockpit air conditioning sound. Is that correct? Is there a way to either turn if off or turn down the sound volume a little? I might have missed this in the documentation.Thanks!Airbus

Just wondering if one can use it to practice navigation with? In particular I was wondering about magnetic variation. Is it included, and is it accurate?J

Very detailed and very very realistic scenery has been released from the group FlyTampa at www.flytampa.com for KTPA. This scenery is top notch and well worth the $16.50US for it IMO. There is a freeware KTPA out but this goes well beyond that for sure.

Hi guys I received a ch usb yoke for my B-day and can't seem to get the pro pedals and yoke to work to gether. The yoke is pluged into the usb port and the pedals are pluged into the game port of my sb sound card the yoke works fine but pedals won't work at all. The only way so far that I have been able to make the pedals work is to have a joystick pluged into the joystick plug on the pedal cable. this works but, I want to get rid of the joystick any ideas? HiI've never even thought of updating my drivers before. I've got a NVIDIA Geforce2/Geforce2Pro - well, that's what it says in 'system'.According to Nvidia's web site the latest drivers suitable for this are the 41.09 ones. Fair enough.Can anyone tell me how I should (if I should) proceed with installing these. Is it necessary to uninstall the old drivers? If so how? Or do the new ones just auto-install nicely into place. And of course, how do I go back to the old ones if the new ones don't improve anything. Hello all, I picked up my copy of FS2002 Pro today and I got this error when installing "Unable to verify installation media". Anyone know how to correct this? And for those of you that have to ask yes it is a legal copy. I do not own or believe in pirated software. Any help is greatly appreciated. Topdog

I've noticed over the past week a problem with all textures suddenly losing clarity. My sliders were not altered. I haven't added any huge frame rate eating models lately. Ans while the clarity loss first appeared at KMIA (attributed to maybe a high concentration of aircraft) it also recently happened at SVMI and at MPTO (less aircraft concentrations).TTools also began failing to recompile. I'd check times after a recompile and notice the times set to 00:00:00 hadn't been calculated.I have a decent system; P4A 2.0Gig, Ti200 GeForce 3, 512 DDR Ram, Intel board, Win XP Home.This doesn't happen all the time. I have a Saitek X36 joystick setup, USB.I use to use Ron Hunts drivers, but got tired of having to use hazard script every time I wanted to fly a flight sim, so I'm back to saiteks drivers. Seems like every time I fly FS2k2, my plane yaw's like crazy. Its like the rudder has irregular movements. I've tried calibrating under FSUIPC, but I never get a "O" reading when I leave the rudder centered.Any ideas how to fix this? It's very annoying and dampens the flight simming experience.

i finally figured out what type of flying i like and its flying airplanes that allow you to fly them, for example dc9, b727, and all little ga planes, you have to keep track of the vor to vor, etc but what behooves me is i see a lot people flying big jets that are fully automated.my question is what enjoyment do you all get from that? i find it unbeilievably boring and i tried to enjoy it and once im up and cruising and other than checking the instruments, etc man you just sit there. do you fly them because you need to do other stuff around the house? or what?tell me what i need to do to enjoy fmc/automated flight, etcthanksciao!Brian S

Well, against my own better judgement, I upgraded my ATI Radeon 8500 drivers (which were working fun except for one bug) and now, unlike before, if I'm in FS and switch away, when I come back, the entire screen is blank. The only way I've found to get it back right now is to go into the settings while flying and change the resolution. That gets it back, so then I go back in and put it back the way it was.VERY annoying.Any idea what I might have broken and how I might go about making it stop doing that?

When I leave flight sim to go to the desktop and then return into flight sim the outside view is black and to get the picture back I have to press ALT-Enter and then again to get it back. If anyone has any idea as to what my problem might be your help would be greatly appreciated.

I am very pleased with a recent ugprade, and thought I would share the results in case it is of any help to anyone considering the same.My system is a Dell Dimension 8200 purchased in October 2001. Hi,What should I get? Ti4200(AGP 8x) for $142 or Ti4600(Agp 4x) for $204?Will AGP 8x increase performance enough to make the 4200 get close to 4600? Both have 128 DDR and the 4200 comes with memory running at 500Mhz. Thanks for the help.Best,Marcelo.

Does anyone know where I can download a default B737-400 America West livery? I have the Southwest Gold one for Sky Harbor but the only aircraft that I can find in the America West Livery is the Airbus. The airbus is a wonderful aircraft and I love to fly it but America West is very big at Sky Harbor and alot of B737s fly out of there in the colors of America West because Sky Harbor is based here in Phoenix, AZ. I seem to have a problem picking up the ILS for runway 8L at Honolulu. I believe the frequency is 109.5. Could someone please check this on their system and let me know? I am wondering whether a previous scenery install caused me to loose this runway.Thanks!Airbus

I have in the past downloaded many splash screens and installed same without difficulty using the splash screen randomiser. I have recently used some of my own screen shots and installed them only to have the colors reversed (red shows blue)when I open Fs02. Any suggestions for a solution would be much appreciated
