Hi: I used to know how to save my flights so that whenever I start them it would use current system time. I upgraded to Win XP and new to save new flights. Can someone refresh an old mans memory on how to accomplish this task? Thanks....Al

I am thinking of purchasing the Capt Sim Boeing 727, but there is also a similar package to be released by Dreamfleet. This has been on the cards for a considerable time, but Dreamfleet for obvious reasons does not want to commit themselves to a definite release date, presumably to avoid something similar to the diabolical Capt Sim B727 release fiasco. Has anybody got an idea when one may expect the Dreamfleet 727....inside information or rumour ? ? ?Understandably I am reluctant to go through all the unnecessary frustrations to get the Capt Sim 727 and its FOUR Service packs, if the release of the Dreamfleet 727 is just around the corner. Hi, Anyone download these that are free? I installed this package into the main sim2002 folder as he directed but I see no adventures listed in my flight sim to click on. Perhaps he gave wrong install directions. Anybody have any ideas on how to install? Thank you, S.

I know that some of my collegues here who like Russian aircraft already know about this, but for those of you that don't can I recommend this superb package to you?The aircraft model has been around for a while, but it's the superb panel - including navigator's position and more dials and switches than you can deal with - that makes this freeware masterpiece!Hand flying is easy, which is handy as I haven't figured out how to turn on the autopilot yet!! Hello all,Does anybody know how I can redownload or reinstall the VMAX 747-200? I had an unexpected issue with my system and lost FS2002 and various files on my hard drive, including the 742 add on. Now, I can't get in touch with VMAX about how to get it back. I have tried the email listed on their website and both phone and fax and cannot get a response. I recently had to install a new Hard Drive and start from scratch. I tried to back up as many FS2002 files as I could, i.e., Aircraft,SceneDB, etc,. Apparently I lost one that is used when flying the freeware DeHavilland Dash 7 (Tyrolean). Can anyone tell me where I can find "pnavdata.txt" and the folder to put it into. I get a window that says it can't load, then it loads, then when I exit I get another, same msg...

Greetings all,I am using the CH Products gameport Virtual Pilot Pro together with the gameport Pro Pedals. Could someone please clarify whether or not the toe brakes of the Pro Pedals should work with FS2002, and if yes, what needs to be done to activate them? I have thus far been unable to find an answer to this question, as most of the material out there pertaining to this matter is unclear as to whether it applies to the USB version of the pedals, or the gameport version, or both.Any help/comments would be greatly appreciated.Regards :-wave,Chris BrunnerCYVR

Anyone Since I have the 'World Airport' installed into my program, it has a vechiles that would drive around or is parked by the airport. Based on the frequencies. Speaking if I request for taxiing clearance the frequencies would trigger to have vechiles to drive off from the parked plane. But the only problems is that they don't have it at every airport. So since then, would it be possible if I just create one myself for an airport that doesn't have one? would AFCAD program or any such kind of program be able to do that? would it affect the framerates?? let me know??

I downloaded the AFCAD file for KDTW airport and in the download it has 2 files, a KDTW.tx and a 2DTW.tx. In the read me file it says "You will also need to create 1 new airport (2DTW) in your AFCAD airports files" How do I do this? Do I just install the file 2DTW.tx like I do any AFCAD that has a single .tx file? I just started downloading AFCAD files a few days ago and still learning the stuff.

I had not seen any references to this new addition to the library, other than Bear's review..So, I looked for this plane with mixed expectations.. I've always had some reservations about flying military hardware in FS2k2 since I have Jane's USAF and IL-2 for this kind of stuff.. Wow, was I ever surprised! This thing is a beauty inside and out and has moving wings and all..It flies very well and is worth the download!!

I have recently been download Project AI packages and files to get more gates at airports and now my framerates at those airports are not that good (before I download Project AI stuff and the stuff for extra gates my framerates were near 20) I have lowered the AI slider to 70% but don't want to go lower cause that would just defeat the purpose of downloading Project AI stuff and the files to have more gates.PS - when I take off from the airport my framerates go back up nicelyIs there any tips you can give me to improve my framerates? Maybe some adjusting I could do to my computer to get better framerates?

Hi,With my specs below, do you think that it would be worth it to get a new motherboard and 512MB of PC2700 DDR? I want to build myself a brand new computer in about 6-9 months when the newest videocards (R9900Pro or better), the best CPU hopefully 3.5Ghz+ and motherboard. RAM would hopefully be DDR2. I'd also get a new DVD-RAM combo drive, perhaps a floppy or memory stick reader, a sound card, Antec case and perhaps some speakers, and probably a new HDD, 120GB+. The other components I could keep from my current PC. This one would eventually be used as a family PC. The big question:Would it be worth the cost to get an Asus P4S8X or P4PE and 512MB of PC2700 to tide me over…

I have been anticipating the MAAM B25J for some time and have been visiting Roy Chaffin's web site (RCS panels) on odd occasions to learn about the progress. The B25J has now been released in all its glory....and Even in present times Roy is talking about this B25J, yet in the credits at the end of the manual and on the MAAM site itself there is absolutely NO mention of Roy or any contribution he might have made. Why is this?

Okay, I ran across a little issue, and was hoping others may have seen it. I was undertaking a rather long flight from Christchurch, NZ to Santiago, Chile. Not too long after reaching cruise altitude I lost all radio contact. Well, to be more specific, here's the rundown:1) I'd been handed off to NZ Center, but hadn't contacted them.2) I occasionally hit the "`" key to see what center I'm supposed to be in contact with.3) After reaching cruise altitude, the ATC screen would not pop-up.4) This situation remained until I was 130nms from Santiago. I am thinking of purchasing the Capt Sim Boeing 727. I remember that when this was first released there was a lot of disatisfaction because a so called Beta version was shipped. Then I recall that when the proper full version was released it was a "mission" to obtain it and once purchased (download version) the installation routine was a pain. Can anybody who has purchased the Capt Sim 727 please advise me on both the issue pertainig to the puchasing of this software and importandly exactly what the installation routine is after this software has been downloaded and paid for. Is threre any further exhanges of e- mail to obtain activation codes etc? Thanks

Hi all,Like many of you I'm very happy with my ATI card. I changed from nVidia Geforce 2 Pro 64MB to the ATI Radeon 9500 Pro. What a difference in both FPS and quality! However, like again many other ATI 9x00 users I also suffered from intermittent lockups or black screens when performing Alt-Tab to another program from FS2002 in fullscreen. I'm very happy that this problem disappeared after I installed the ATI Catalyst 3.1 driver and control panel. I first did a complete de-install of the existing Catalyst 3.0 package and made sure the Standard VGA (PCI) driver was in use. I am having problems with the C-Media onboard sound on my system when using FS2002. The programme continually locks up, and after trying many workrounds have decided that the C-Media is the cause.When I don't use sound when flying (switching it off via the menu in FS or by disabling it in the control panel), everthing is OK. But as soon as sound is enabled, the programme locks up after a few minutes, and I have to reboot the computer. I have tried shutting down all background programms running, updating the driver but with no luck. Would it be any help fitting a sound card instead of having the onboard type.
