I would like recommendations on what sound card I should get to replace the SB live! It would need to be compatible with win xp home sp1 edition and not create the fs2002 sound distortions that are prevalent with the creative lab series

i was talking about the FS series with a friend of mine and he said that MS would be smart to make detailed city disks for sale in their upcoming versions.these disks would have about three cities each and each city would be highly detailed--almost rivaling the actual city itself!not just generic basic structures but nearly every real life building that the city has to offer right down to the smallest corner store.yeah, i know this is a wacky thought, but i also know it could be done!!!(we came up with this idea after seeing something in NYC that should have also been in--or near--our hometown of pittsburgh.

hey guy's i'm having problems unzipping aircraft from the xp zip files. with the winzip before that i had, 3rd party planes didnt have a problem,not sure what im doing wrong,i put aircraft folders to the fs aircraft folder and the gauges to the proper gauge folder in the sim but nothing comes up when the sim is turned on.im running windows Xp ntfs format

I've just discovered Active Camera Pro! Why didn't anyone make a real big fuss over this when it first came out!?"Briefing Time" B-25 is awsome when you allow flybys - so are the Red Arrows. Serves me right I suppose for going away for a while and not having access to Avsim. Made my day.KD

I read Andrew Herd's review on the Archer and the way it sounds there's a patch but i looked and can't find one, can any one help me out on this? just bought it and really like it. It gives me a break from the heavies!Thanks Louis

i would like to know why some aircraft crash on the runaway when they appear on fs2002, they literaly sink on the runaway an fs restart and do the samething, thanks

Here it goes: After almost two years of trouble free FS2002 simming, all of the sudden all sorts of funny (and not so funny) things start to happen. First of all and without warning, I started getting these "error opening GPS_engine" messages which are momentarily solved by restarting FS2002. Shortly after that when changing aircrafts they all started sinking into the ground generating a crash situation. I searched all mainstream forums always getting contact point modification instructions which did not apply to me because this seems to happen with every default or 3rd party aircraft, mainly props. Afterwards, I started having a really weird problem when flying on Vatsim…

Anyone know how to get FltSim 2002 to give the correct runway for the realworld weather? At KILG wind direction 360 and FltSim gives me runway 9 every time. Help Please!Bill

I have had this simulator for a long time, since fs95 and I never went out and purchased Wilco's 767 PIC. I have finally decided that today, I am going to go out and get it. I went to the Wilco website and started looking at it. But, from what I can see you have to order it, and they then ship it to you. Is there a way that you can download it just like they do with most addons these days. If there is, please give me a direct link so I can find it. Thanks for your help.Tadd Garcia

Hi everybody I have an interesting question. It's about the hard drive. I notice that very quickly my size was evaporating. So I decide to go through the add remove programs list when I noticed something peculiar. I noticed that squackbox was showing the same file size as FS2002 also FSNavigator was showing the same size as the other. I have windows xp It is questionable why the programs that attached to FS gain the same file size as FS. I mean the one you have to install straight into main FS folder

For years now my flight simming has been with the modern airliners equipped with FMCs and fancy autopilots. I usually fly GA or airliners but the other day, I decided to give the Lear a whirl. On approach to SEA, at FL310, using an FS2002 flight plan and default ATC, I was cleared to descend to FL300, then FS290, then FL280 -- well you get the picture. I descended in 1000 foot intervals down to 10,000', then it was 500' at a time. Two subsequent flights yielded the same result. Hey all...I was wondering how to completely "clean" your HD of ALL Nvidia drivers. I have tried installing new drivers only to get a message such as "Blah blah has detected existing nvidia drivers on your system, hit cancel to quit the installer and remove these". I have used the Add/Remove programs in control panel to remove the proir drivers and used Regcleaner to clean up the registry but I still get that message. Can anyone help?
