Good day,During flight all of a sudden speed indicator stops (displays 000).When set to true airspeed it gives a reading, back to indicated airspeed again 000. Due to this auto trottle goes to full trottle. Flight deck companion starts extending flaps and lowering gear.Only option is to kick the Flight Deck Companion Crew out of the cockpit and adjust trottle manual. All the time GPS gives ground speed and sometimes there is a mach reading.It sometimes works to go to "select aircraft"and choose the same aircraft.I am running fs2002 pro, fsmeteo (update every 6 minutes) Radar Contact and Flight Deck Companion. Is anyone else getting this error with FS2K2?I tried to do a flight into Rapid City (KRAP) and that whole scenery section has an elevation error. 2 questions; I was wondering which is the best "hanger manager" out there. I have had "Addit! Pro" for the last year. I see there is a new one out called FS Manager. Has any one tried both or is there a better one out there I do not know about. The second question is about the tools to get to design my first plane. I have downloaded tons of planes for my enjoyment.(Thank-you to the designers) I would like to design one and give something back to the FS community. I have read the designers notes in the zip files so there seems to be some who use FSDS or GMAX and a bunch of different utilites. So what a good base to start from. I recently upgraded my video card from a Geforce4 Ti4200 64MB DDR card to an ATI Radeon 9700 Pro with 128MB DDR ram.I was wondering if I should reinstall MSFS 2002, or leave it as is? Does it matter that I just installed this new card and didnt reinstall the program other then drivers for it, etc?Just trying to figure in about getting the best performance and bang for the buck from my hardware for FS 2002.Thanks for your recommendations.

Hi,I tried installing the 2942s and 3082s, but got a device could not start error after they were installed.The 4109s work fine, so I'm wondering what's going on.

I was flying my new Dreamfleet 177RG lst night, and was very proud of myself for doing a VOR/airway flight from Seattle to Vancouver without turning on the GPS. It made the flight more interesting to be setting up the nav radios, watching for waypoints, etc. I love the clunky old radios that come with the Cardinal, and I was thinking I might try to find a way to yank the (very nice) GPS out of the cockpit altogether for my upcoming circuit of Alaska.This got me to thinking that it might be interesting to have _everything_ set up to represent a time before GPS's, glass cockpits, etc. (when men were men, and -- you know the drill). I purchased the ATI Radeon All in Wonder 9700 Pro yesterday. I installed the card last night and anxiously entered fs2k2. The card I had previously was the Nvidia TI-200. I expected a huge difference in video quality and framerate. I have yet to notice any difference of video quality, the frame rates are still in the 7-12 range. I have been experimenting with different display settings and I have yet to reach any conclusions. Are there any 9700 Pro users out there that have suggestions? I did download DirectX 9.0 and that did not seem to improve the situation. I downloaded the latest Catalyst drivers from ATI also. I Suppose this card is near the top of AGP cards out ther…

Strange problem.I have 2 computers side by side not connected. On the Win 98 computer I can get MsFS2002P to make and "keep" a flight plan without any problem so I know how to do it.However, the other XP OS computer (my bad boy) also has MSFS2002P installed and reinstalled but after I create a flight plan it won't "take", by that I mean the sim always reverts back to the default MSFS Meigs flight when I click OK to the flight plan. Yes I "save" the flight and it "saves OK but it just won't be there after I click OK to the flight plan. AGain it reverts to the Meigs default.Can anyone help?joe

I have downloaded AFCAD's for a few airports and downloaded them to FS2002, but now I would like to download different AFCAD's for the same airports. Can I just download the new AFDAC files into FS2002 or do I have to delete the original AFCAD files first?If I have to delete the original AFCAD files first how do I go about doing this?

Hello.I was wondering if anyone else has noticed something about the airspeed gauge in the new Aero Commander that has been released.When the mouse cursor is placed over the gauge, the number that is displayed does not match the number that is shown on the gauge itself.Is it this way for anyone else besides me?Thanks!

hello I've tried the freeware weather generation called Weather Maker and well I am so impressed, the weather feels more ALIVE. Sadly this program works only offline. Is there some freeware weather gen out there that could download real weather? Payware FS meteo sounds nice but it's rather too expensive for me considering FS ACOF which incorporate a decent weather system will release soon.

I am planning on building a new gaming rig. I have been a flight simmer for 7 years. I was wondering if FS2002 can take advantages of 1GB of Ram, Hyper Threading, Processor and Video Card Capabilities.I would like some opinions.Abe

Hi, I am trying to connect. And when I put the server in (One of the USA servers) I dont get any error messages, but, it just wont connect. As after I hit the connect button, and then check to see if I am online, I just end up having the option to connect again...any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. First I would like to thank the folks who replied and gave good tips to try to solve this issue...The learjet landing lights do not show up in cockpit view...It will only show up in spot or tower views...I have modified the beacon effects file by adding "cockpit=1" on the apropriate place...This advice came from where someone in this forum who had the same problem...For some reason I still cant get the lights to work in cockpit view...Is there something I'm missing here? Perhaps a patch someone created?I just cant believe this could be a bug (a very bad one!!)Hope someone can share some light..thanx

I'm using Paul Mainville's DTW scenery....great stuff. I've just got one problem...i've got the default DTW scenery (ramps and runways) showing through the new scenery.

What is the range as well?
