I'm working through the excellent article on the RIVA tuner and how to patch the drivers before installation. I have an executable for the 29.42 set, but all it does is install the drivers, it is not a self-extracting file. Although an extraction routine appears to be a part of the activity, I can't find the extracted files anywhere (I did a search, including C:nVidia) after I installed the drivers. Maybe the executable cleans up the extracted files (just when you don't want it to :) ).Is there somewhere that has a 29.42 driver set that is self-extracting that anyone knows of? When you are lined up on the runway flying the Learjet, in the cockpit view, why is it the lights do not shine on the runway? The switch is on in the cockpit, and when you play an instant replay the lights are on. Hope somebody can help! Thanks.

I was wondering if anyone has tried the new FSDS2 757's that are in the file library today? How do they compare to IFDG's GMAX 757's?

jerrycwo4I just finished upgrading my computer from a duel AMD 1800+ (2 CPU's) with a TI500 video card to a AMD 2600+ (single CPU) with the ATI Radeon 9700 PRO video card and I AM SO DISPPOINTED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had a better picture before the $800 update. Has anyone figgured out how to stop the SHIMMERING of the textures? Please, PLEASE, tell me. Thanks jerry

Hi, I just completed my first flightplan. One of the stops includes Yellowknife(CYZF). When viewing for the first time, I noticed that the traffic will just stop at the end of rwy 33, not even notifying ATC of impending take-off. Ground control clears my traffic to follow rwy 9 and rwy 15 to RWY 33. Basically, the plane follows these runways just fine but when it turns around at the threshold of rwy 33, it just stays there, no movement. How can I get past this stalemate ?Thanks,Jamie

Slewing was once valuable to me in repositioning my aircraft but it seems more and more that every time I use it, and then turn it off, that my plane all of a sudden explodes in flight. In an attempt to eliminate this phenomena I've even emptied the gas tanks on planes. It always surprises me when they too take off as if they were shot out of a gun.I assume you all have experienced this. Does anyone have a "fix" for it? It is getting very irritating.Bill :-roll

For some time now, I have been using a little utility called WipeGauge 2002 v3.05 (wipegau3.zip) by Felipe Torrezini. This particular one is a favourite of mine as it is foolproof (Very important!!)efficient and has a neat interface.However, I recently had to re-instal FS2002 due to a Motherboard change and now I just get an error message every time I try to use this utility. The message reads "Run time error '5' Invalid call or argument" then promptly closes when 'OK' is clicked.I downloaded another copy of this and still the same problem...there is obviously some sort of conflict here and I wonder if anyone else has experienced this and could perhaps enlighten me....by …

Hi there.I can't figure out why the fokker project and thir plane 70 and 100 won't track the GS. If anybody have a suggestio then please advice.1. The button for ILS-intercepting will not tun on. I can hear the click but there is no light in the button.2. Radio and freq turn on and set3. The instrument show that it is recieving the ILS and showing the DME distance.4. Heya,I need charts that show the parking positions at KIAD and KLAX. I can get taxi charts but not ones that show gate numbers. Could someone also answer a few questions about the operational aspects of KIAD, like: What airlines use what gates, what aircraft use what gates etc?Thanks

Please direct me to the latest FS Skyworld version and provide the link if possible. I loved using that program in conjunction with Active Sky, but when I upgraded my computer, I didn't save FS Skyworld.Also, does it come with all the clouds necessary for MSFS, or do you have to download cloud sets? I welcome any hints on using these 2 programs together to create the most realistic sky possible.Thanks in advance. Stan

hi I've downloaded textures for used as an AI plane from project AI, but how do I install these textures? I've tried unzip them into aircrafts folder but no joy. I've already compile an assosiated AI flightplan with TTools, once I enter FS2002 I see no AI.tnxVatinVTBD

I'm getting some shimmering with textures--not just trees. Not real bad but I was wondering if others were also getting this.Settings: AA 8X, AF 16X, Textures=High Quality, Mipmapping=Quality (not High Quality), Trueform=Off, using Catalyst 3.1 driversComputer specs: Athlon 1.4, 384mb DDR, KT266Other than some shimmering, image quality and performance is excellent. "RealAir" provide clear instructions about how to loop-the -loop in the Marchetti.Following those instructions (using a 40% fuel load)sometimes I manage it, sometimes I get no further than almost managing it and sometimes I destroy my bird by placing excess force on it's normally uncomplaining structure.Any tips to make me a better pilot in this manoeuvre?

Hi, I recently purchased this scenery and noticed that the terminal textures and parts of the yellow lines (parking at gate area) textures flash on and off. Any one know if I can fix this?My system is a P4 2.66 512mb, ATI 9700, Win XP Pro.I've played with the video settings in the control panel including taking mip map from min to max, tried both latest Omega and Catalyst 3.1 drivers. To say that Richard Harvey was brave is an understatement of huge proportion. Currently launching FS2002 starts with a page showing a airliner in flight with an airport in the background.When launching is complete the next window offers a choice of what I want to select to start the session.Is there a way of cutting out that window and starting immmediately into a previously saved flight?

Greetings - After putting in a new OS (Win 2000), I went through a clean install of Flight Sim and my bush scenery folders (by author). All was going well, until last night I installed Bill Freeborn's NW Territory collection - just one file in it's own new sub-folder but covering multiple locations and perhaps 15 bgl's - added to the scenery library. This has happened before . . . it took the folder, and I re-started the sim, but every time I try to 'go to airport' or move locations in 'create flight', it crashes the system. I can go into 'saved flights' and fly or slew anywhere - even to the new locations, and sure enough, Bill's buildings and stuff are there. I just can…

I just installed FS2002. I tried to install and use Squawk Box using the installer that came with the program. When I create a mulitplayer session, open SB Host and run Squawk Box, it tells me that SB has joined the session, but the console does not appear for me to be able to log in. What do I need to do to get it to work?

newmdw2k2.zip - from here on avsim.If I park, power off and brakes on, at the KMDW gates, the plane seems to slowly creep around. I am not having any problems like this at other locations including add-ons. It is not aircraft specific.Any ideas?
