I have recently installed TCAS on my panel and wish to see some traffic. Is there some way, or some download that I can use to increase traffic, and perhaps create AI flight plans?Ken Rogers

Whats up guys,I know someone asked this before but I searched the forum and couldn't find it. Anyone know why my fps decrease throughout the flight? When i take off and during climb theyre fine but after a long cruise and on descent they decrease considerably. I saved a flight towards the end and restarted my computer to check the frames in the exact same situation with the same flight and they were much higher(in the 20s compared to around 10).Any ideas?Thanx in advance,GeoffP4 2.0 ghzATI Mobility Radeon 7500512 MB DDR ram

Learjet problemLanding lights on the learjet 45 will not show up in cockpit view. This makes night operations impossible with the learjet...However the lights shows up in spot and tower views...I have tried to reinstall FS but this problem is still there..Can anyone help?? Is there a fix to this??Thankx for any help anyone can give

Just returned to UK via Phoenix from Las Vegas. Flew in America West A320 and had good view of the rear of the wing on take off and noticed something I've never seen before - as the aircraft accelerated the spoilers along the wing surface extended and stayed up for about half the length of the take off run before settling back. Thought it might be something to do with killing lift when taking off with a slight crosswind - anyone any ideas?KD

hi allrecently discovered that while approaching 2 serparate airports i start receiving a constant ATIS signal. the 2 airports are KOKV in Winchester Virginia and KSLS in Salinas CA. actually in Winchester's case, its their AWOS report. no matter what frequency i turn to the ATIS stays on.....and gets pretty annoying. after moving away from the vicinity, it goes off.i know this wasn't always the case because i regularly fly into KSFO which is near KSLS in FS and never heard it until recently.has anyone else experienced this, or now how to fix it?thxchris

hi to alli downloaded a cessna 402 to use as ai aircraft it is really a fs98 aircraft but my main problem is that it just overlfies the runway instead off landing. what can i do to the .air files or aircraft .cfg files to make it land on the runway . i also would like it to stop porpoising unnecessarily when over the runway threshold

First:I've been following some of the other posts regarding lock-up and temperature issues with the Athlon CPU's. My machine isn't locking up, I think I'm running the core voltage too low. I have a 2200+ with a 400W PSU, and the PCToys QuietMAX 5100 fan (gotta love the mobo-mounted fans for the Athlons - The Volcano 7+ wouldn't even let the machine boot!), and the bios settings for core voltage on this A7V333 are set to auto. This gives me a 1.65-1.68 voltage rating. I'm not overclocking the chip, so it's at 1808 MHz by way of 133/33 by 13.5X settings. I have been doing crashes and rough landings in Flight Simulator since version 1.0 for Mac (1986) Among those many years today marks a "top 5 moment" in flight simming. I downloaded the Flight1's Meridian. The download was about 50 meg. I printed out their Tutorial PDF which is about 15 pages long. What a great flight! I used the Garmin GNS 530 the entire flight...what a dream. Plotting waypoints and using the moving map made the perfect flight even better. The ILS Approach into KMIA was flawless. I highly recommend buying this addon. Follow the tutorial exactly and you will have fun. It does take some time to learn how to use the Garmin GPS and autopilot but once you do …

I use a Microsoft Force Feebdack pro joystick. I turn off most of the force feedback effects, but I like the tangible weight it has when the aircraft isn't trimmed properly, so I will probably stick with it over getting a yoke.However, I'm wondering about rudder pedals. I have a terrible time trying to do a coordinated turn using the twist function on the joystick. Do rudder pedals offer enough of an advantage to justify the expense? Anyone have problems with the CH USB pedals on Windows XP?

Dear Flying pilots and fellow students..I have come across some problem not resolved by fully reinstalling Flight simulator 2002...Somehow the landing lights do not show up in cockpit view when turned on...However it does show up just fine in Spot and tower view...tilting works well to.Is there something I'm missing here? I cant seem to find a way to make it show up....Note that it works in all other aircraft in FS 2002...Please help if anyone canThank you

Anybody had this problem before? I have a Compac Presario laptop with XP, an ATI Radeon IGP 320M 64mb video card and my driver is an ati2dvag.dll, version 6.13.10.6094 (which I'm not sure if it's the most current or not. Anyway, when I'm in the sim, and I hit ALT + TAB to go out, when I come back in, everything goes crazy. The 2D and VC cockpits overlap and the spot view won't even show the plane. From the 2D view, a strange blue "haze" appears outside and other weird looking lines appear. If I hit ESC, then select Continue Flying," everything returns to normal. Flight1 simply doesn't answer Questions, and your Can't E-Mail them - Mails are Auto-returned, and Critical Posts are removed from the Forum, so I am going to try here. I recently upgraded to an Athlon 2800+ from an Athlon 2100+ but am getting lock ups now after about 30 minutes of simming. These lockups never used to happen. I wonder if, with the new CPU, the system is getting too hot. I upgraded with a special fan and heatsink designed for Athlon CPUs 2200+ on up, a heatsink that is copper-based. Also, I used all of the paste that came with the heatsink, it put all of the paste on the bottom of the top of the CPU just before I placed the heat sink over it. This paste I am talking about came in a small syringe and I think it is designed to dissipate heat. Now, these lockups only occur when I am using FS2002 and not with the comput…

Hi guysFollowing a mobo failure I am slowly but carefully restoring MSFS2K2 back to where I had it before. I did have a smashing little program that allowed you to take screenshots whilst flying by hitting printscreen and this action was accompanied by a realistic camera click. When you returned to the desktop you were able to view all the shots you had taken in a folder rather like a photo album.Does anyone know where I can get this prog from. I don't think it it was from this site but am not sure.
