Hi there, Can someone provide me with a few tips to help me land this bird bounce-free? Here's my usual procedure on short final and landing:I usually maintain Vref and as I cross the runway threshold, I gradually reduce power and at approximately 20 feet above the runway, I reduce power to idle, flare gently and bounce once or twice before I settle onto the runway. I've tried to reduce Vref, landing with 5%fuel, almost everything that I can think of but to no avail.Any help will be greatly appreciated.ThanksJ.C.(MYNN)Note: I'm using the MD-83 panel by Marco Diaz.

Hi everyone,could someone tell me what is causing the waves that break on the coast line to suddenly take on the appearance of white squares,that fade in and out,as if they have replaced the waves.(see pic)As far as I know I've altered nothing except adding the VFR photographic scenery for the U.K.Thanks............Ross

I just recently purchased a 9700 pro and am happy with it. However, I am having trouble ajusting the "brightness" to be able to fly FS2002 at night. With my old NVIDIA card, in I could adjust the Gama and the contrast and the brigthness, and save those settings. On the 9700, all I seem to be able to adjust is the Game Gama. When I ajust that higher, it seem only the panel lights get brighter, none of the outside textures, such as the a/c in spot view, terrain etc. With my NVIDIA card I had to adjust not only the gamma, but the brightness too. Where do I adjust the brightness on the 8700 pro. Also, is there a way to save these settings so I can select them when I kno…

Today I installed the latest Meigs field scenery, using the files required (traffic tools, AFCAD, MSTREES, etc.) and I can honestly say that I really enjoy Meigs now...it looks just great. I advanced to Spring just to see the trees, and they're awesome.However, I tried to install Midway, and everything looks great except the openings to the various Hangers in the airport. They have large WHITE RECTANGLES or SQUARES in front of them. Obviously, I'm missing a file or something. Please help....what do I need to finish this airport correctly? I installed NovaGold and the other files it asked for, but I can't take these big white squares where the hanger openings are supposed …

For those of you who know my flightsim videos, I have a new update at my site. It's been a few months since the American Virtual Airlines video. Working two jobs had left me with little time to create new videos and update the site. The newest creation is for AeroLivewire Airlines, a sub division for Livewire Airlines. The whole site is currently going through an overhaul, with only the main page practicaly finished. I am looking for an avid simmer who is willing to show a novice a few things. I would like someone who is very experienced at actual IFR commercial flying within MSFS2k2. They are familiar with and use STAR, SID charts etc. They are an experienced user of the VATSIM system. Someone who has experience with ILS approaches. I have a P3/800 Dell with a TNT2 32meg video card. Getting kind of old. I also have 384megs of ram. I am considering a video card upgrade. Would I be wasting my time upgrading this system with just a newer video card? The only important things besides the internet I run is FS2002 & Nascar 2003. I will have FS2004 as soon as it is out. My Dell is a Dimension XPS T800. Will a P4 motherboard & cpu fit in this type of case? I am looking for any recommendations. Thanks.Pat Callaghan

Does anyone knows why squackbox fsnavigator and other fs related programs they show the same file size as FS2002 I attach an example like Bota mision to the moon which shows a size of 2.1 gigs which in fact is about 15 megs. It is showing the same size as FS2002. Can it be because they are install directly into FS folder?More dramatically is that the hardisk is showing a size that's not true.My total file size won't exceed 4gigs and because of the double up of the programs above the partition is showing in excess of 7 gigs is used??????

As stated in the Subject line this is what works for me. It may or may not help you.First, what I refer to as "the blurries" occur in those ground scenery textures that are within a 5 mile radius of the aircraft you are flying. I am not referring to scenery textures in the distance which, as in real life, are always blurry.On the first page of the "Display" options dialog box in the lower right hand corner are 2 checkboxes which refer to "Extended Terrain" My "blurries" cleared up when I "Unchecked" these 2 boxes. Since unchecking these 2 boxes I always have crisp clear ground textures around the aircraft. This did not, however, clear up the blurry aircraft textures on so…

When I connect to the navdata website to download the latest airac cycles I get only to the front page. The left hand box to logon stays blank. Can anybody help?
