For some reason, of late, I can not get MSFS2002P to "connect" when I attempt to download "Real World Weather." When I select the RWW tab to initiate a dial up I immediately get a message that states: "The server name and address can not be resolved!" For the record my dial up modem works fine in all other applications but not MSFS2002P.I have tried a defrag and complete reinstall of MSFS but still have the exact same problem.Can anyone help? I have the above rudder pedals that are about 6 years old. They connect via a gameport. I can't get WinXP Home to recognize them and have search high and low for drivers.Any help would be aprreciated. I can trick XP into seeing them by useing a "Y" connecter and using a joystick to interface but then I get all kinds of elevator flutter. Can't adjust FSUIPC to calibrate or compensate.Craig [email protected]

Hello gents,I have this strange problem with ground level.When I try to fly online it's like I'm falling through the ground, see belowThis started after I have installed first DX8.2, then DX9.0beta and in the end DX9.0 final.It has nothing to do with scenerys as I have tried it on a new re-install without any add-on scenerys.And there is nothing wrong offline.Any idea gents? Is it DX9.0beta that has screwed up my system?Cheers

Are there any real airline pilot's here who fly into Nice (LFMN)?I'm trying to design a freeware scenery and have some questions which i think only pilots (or maybe some local people?) will know.1. I need some advice on taxiway sign placement. What is displayed at the runway holding points? Because i can't tell from the Jeppesen chart what catagory ILS is available. Also i know that near the southern end of the airport, between the two runways is a green sign with white letters/numbers, but what does it say? Lastly, are there any special signs like RAMP, FUEL, or CARGO and where are they?2. Could someone e-mail me the chart or tell me some other way what the gate position…

I'm looking for opinions on which OS is better suited to running FS2K2. I currently own both 2KPro and XPPro. It's time for spring cleaning and I figured I would get everyones opinion. I know that XPPro loves memory but I'm curious if 2KPro would offer more stability and performance. I know they are both closely related just curious... Any opinions??Bobby

Decided to post a big THANK YOU to all those great Freeware Developers that offer so much of their personal time to develop all these great Flightsim Add-ons!Since FS2002 came out the quality of these add-ons have become allmost unbelievably detailed and complex. I can't even begin to imagine the amount of time and professionalism involved in some of these creations.My hat goes off to all of you.As someone that has spent too much money on Payware (still waiting for my B-25J "Briefing Time" CDROM) I am greatful for these Freeware addons, some of which are better than many of the payware add-ons, although I might add that I have been satisfied with the majority of the paywa…

Just wanted to say THANK YOU to all those who posted in response for my plea for help regarding my sudden episode with severe texture degradation.The post that suggested replacing the main FS2K2 config file was the one that did the trick. I had done a disc defrag before the condition developed, so perhaps that was part of the problem.I also reduced frame rate target to 20fps from 25fps.Thanks All and AVSIM!!! If FS9/FS2004 will allow you to choose which default aircraft you want to install? I know it may play havoc with the AI, but, truthfully, there are some aircrafts that are in FS9 that I know I won't want to use.Yes, I know you can "delete" them later, but I figured it's easier to do it during the install.Steven

Has anyone made one of the early Wright Brothers airplanes with the latest technology? (I am not looking for a reworked FS98 version). Can anyone tell me why I have folders in my aircraft folder with 3 planes(md80,pa18,and dash8) but they do not appear in my aircraft selection menu in MSF2002. I do not have the PRO edition. Thanks in advance

Hi everyone,after having about 75% of the real world's scheduled airline traffic modelled in AI, I would like to add a little spice and throw in some General Aviation. I don't care that much where the GA is going, all I want is to have the populate the skies. Any fligthplans that can be recommended? I know ddefault AI was full of those little flies buzzing around all over the place, but maybe there's smthg. just a tad more realistic. CheersChris

I finally got my pc build and when I try to install FS2002, my pc restarts shortly after I put in CD 3. It also restarts when I try to install win xp service pack 1.

I am looking for taxiway signs for KMIA, KBOS, KEWR, and KMCO. I've checked taxiwaysigns.com but they haven't relesed any signs since 2/10/03Does anyone know where I can find signs for those airports?

I don't know about anyone else, but the Baron 58 sounds do not seem to be most appropriate for this aircraft. I have seen videos of Bob Hoover (I think that is his name) flying the Aero Commander and doing all kinds of crazy stunts in this aircraft. The sound of the engines seemed to have more of a whine to them compared to those of the Baron.What is everyone else's opinion about this? Do you have any recommendations for a substitute (freeware or commerical) sound set? Maybe a DH6 Otter set? Just guessing here folks! Perhaps someone who has been around the Commander can provide some insight.Keith

Hi all,I hve downloaded the excellent B58 Hustler but the Airspeed/mach gauge is missing.Someone said that it was a gauge named Flairspd. or something similar.I was wondering if someone could tell me where to get the gauge or send it to me if they had [email protected]
