I was just reading a thread about the greatest single engines in FS and that made me remember the awesome SF-260 by Realairsimulations. However as my cockpit is all set up for a twin prop I don't fly that bird very often anymore. That made me wonder if Realairsimulations might have any plans to do a twin and what kind of project they are working on right now. Any ideas?Alex

I am tired of the planes that FS2002 has at airports and was wondering how to replace all of them with planes that are being made by AI Aardvark and others? I would love to take KBNA (Nashville) and fill it full of Southwest 737s and others that fly into the area. How do I do it? Can it be done?Thanks for your help.Denny O

Tonight when I was running FS I noticed when flipping from the full screen mode to the windows mode to minimize the fs program to change the clouds using fsskyworld, I have noticed the screen would go blank and go to the desktop with the fswindow. I didn't remember this happening before, not that it is a big deal because fs doesn't crash but I just found that this is weird.I could do this by Alt go to views and full screen. Before it would just go reduce the size of the window in windows so I could go to fskyworld and change my clouds. I did run a scan disk today so could this cause this? I also have Norton Antivirus 2003 on to.Also I was wondering to how to put a gpws…

i am ashamed to say this, but i have not played flightsim for at least 7 days. and the sad part is instead i have played battlefield 1942. i had the time to play flightsim but i disnt, instead i played bf1942 and surfed flightsim sights all day long. can u guys ever forgive me? if not what do i have to doz? lol.Adam

Hi Simmers,As many of you may be aware I have been providing FREE Aircraft Textures and graphics support for many years now for the flight sim community. However, many may not be aware of the escallating costs required to maintain these services and web facilities. With well over 400 textures requiring considerably more than 600mb of web space and nearly 30 web pages to be managed the environment is now becoming quite expensive for one person to constantly bear. Recently, simply to keep up with the volume of web work required to manage this aspect of my hobby I have been compelled to upgrade to ADSL connectivity. Initial and ongoing costs for ADSL are rather high here…

Just read "Bears" review of the Turbo Commander and seen the fantastic screen shots taken in Georender 3 and 4. Now I have a real problem - I want them! - But you have to be careful here that you don't spend all your income on the hobby!! Question: Which is the better Georender airfield for me to buy - 3 or 4?System is Pentium IV 2.8 with 1Gb RAM and 128Mb G4 graphics.KD

Hello Gang!According to this screenshot, I appear to be missing some important textures in the Vancouver area. I have tried de-installing abunch of sceneries and adding stuff back, including terrains and landclass files to no avail. Has anyone ever seen this problem before? Any ideas how I could fix this? thanks guys, regarding the ils at ontario,as i am new to this i hope you can understand this, i get the hsi nav 1 allright and can line up ok, but i don,t get any miles on the rmi to tell me how far i am from the airport only when i call up the tower do i know, also on autopilot i want to know when i am 8mls out to start my desent i fly into los angeles intl [klax]7L with no trouble ,am i making sense? anyway thanks for the help and i will try easynav, regards dodger uk.

thanks very much to all of you for the help, i have now found the problem, microsoft uses run 8L so i took it for granted this was right,anyway ihave now found outif i use run 26L it all works!!! next time i will try to look more at things instead of taking things for granted, thanks again, great signiture rox!! bye for now, dodger uk.

Last week I made a trade with a friend and got his old computer (It's the P4 1.5 in my sig). I installed FS2002 on it, and it looks worse than it does on my old P3 system.I set both systems to the same display settings. Here is what it looks like on the old system:http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3e73abfa789bd8e2.jpg...and on the new system:http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3e73ac12792b886e.jpgIt acts like it's not loading the detail terrain textures. If I disable them on the old system, they look the same. Is it the GF4 MX card responsible for this? I've tried everything I can think of to fix it. I've already reinstalled it twice.

In the baron and trainer, I often get a very irritating popping/scratchy sound when I am adjusting the engine throttle. This will last for a minute, go away, and then usually come back once I adjust the throttle again. I haven't tried all of the default planes, but I have a couple of payware planes and they don't have this problem. I really enjoy flying the Baron with Steve Small's flight model, so I'm pretty desperate to find a fix.Anyone else run into this? Any solutions? I've tried adjusting the in-game sound quality and the directx audio acceleration levels without success

Please help me become a dirty weather pilot. I have a Pentium4 2.2gHz with 512Mb memory running XP and using an NVidia GeForce 4 MX 420 with 64 Mb ram. Whenever I fly in weather that has some precipitation and a fair degree of cloud I reckon I must get rain in my electronics because the frame rate drops to around 4. I can reduce all sliders to their minimums turn off every fancy feature like mip mapping, anti aliasing etc. but it has absolutely no improvement on the frame rate. But if I clear all weather the frame rate will climb to my preset limit of 24 even with all sliders to the right and the fancy features turned back on. Is it my graphic card, is it me or is it the…

I was wondering about some information that is out there. Is there a program out there that will alow a user to make a flight plan and export it to the GPS for MSFS02. Then alow and import of that plan to FSnav. or able to to eport to FSnav completly. with out having to start up MSFS then go into FSnav and make the plan in there? Hi,Does anyone know the `how to` to produce an ILS at a non ILS airport?I specifically refer to the excellent scenery that came out todayfor Funchal airport in Maderia. Unfortunately the author does notknow how to produce an ILS as well as me!! The scenery is excellentbut this type of airport badly needs an ILS. The last week or so I've occasionally had a problem with FS. I have Windows ME, 733mHZ, 512SDRAM, GForce 4 MX 64mb PCI. Its not happening all the time, just occasionally, and it seems to happen more when I zoom in.

Why is this happening? It doesn't happen that often, but at some places the houses are always aloft. At one time trees were several hundred feet above the ground. I'm using the default mesh for this particular region, but an updated landclass. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Hi all ... having a problem that has me stumped ... ok when I try to host a multiplayer session ...as you would to start squawkbox, I get the error message failure to initialize protocol ..please select different protocol ... I just installed directx 9 and suspect it has something to do with that ... as I did not have any problem before ...PLEASE HELP ! Thanks ... also...
