This is a question that I've wanted to ask some of you. Elaborate as much or as little as you please. Thanks in advance for your responses!My story: I was in Minnesota at the Mall of America, and a long time ago they used to have a store that was strictly aviation (probably my favorite store in the entire world, but alas I was too young to remember the name). And in one corner, they had a computer. And right under the monitor was this huge setup- they had a yoke and pedals and a throttle (oh my). In the computer must have been FS95. So I headed up the throttle and took off! It was very nice to say the least, and from that moment on I was hooked on flight simulation…

Hi everyone - I come recommended from the Sub Command Forum at subsim.com...they said you're all nice peopleAnyways, I've got a real problem with framerates in FS2002 - I recently had the comp upgraded (P4 2.0 Gig, 768 Ram, top of teh line Nvidea card, Win XP etc...It's been great, pushing 30 plus FPS!Except now, for some reason, the FR will go down to 5 or 6 with out warning, and that's without spooling around or anything like that, it happens every 20 seconds or so...I tried Task Manager on XP, but it immediately minimises and I haven't been able to punch it up to delete unnecessary programs...Dowloaded enditall, but I don't understand how to use it...Could it be a viru…

First off, we're experiencing some glitches with our new server and they are currently being worked on. A lot of people were trying to download EVERY single base package all at the same time and even though we have a better server than before, it still has a few bugs.We uploaded files the way we did for a reason and that's the end of that. Some repainters have relased entire packages already for the classics and that brings me up to the next subject.I as well as many of you show the proper respect when uploading repaints for someone else's work. I got the Baron down as far as taking off but am a bit confused with the Cessna 182 for take off. Full tank of gas, I rotate at about 60 knots IAS, trim set for take off but don't leave the ground til at around 80 knots or so and as I'm leaving the ground at alittle above that and pull the stick back to 12 degrees or so I begin to slow down to climbing speed at about 90 knots or more. For some reason I'm thinking I should be leaving the ground at about 60 to 70 knots with a 12 degree pitch and slowly speed up to 80 or 90 knots and hold the speed there with pitch but I always either have to pitch up more than 12 degrees more like 15+ in order to climb at 80 or 90 knots or …

Today I added the new wheel textures to my FFX 737-800 (with the added winglets) I went into imagetool to change the textures from 24-bit to 32-bit and now the wheels are updated with the new textures, but the front gear doors are now a lime green color and the back gear doors don't have any color anymore. How do I change these to get the original colors back?

I am considering buying an ASUS 9520 FX5200 Graphics Board, with 128MB RAM.Has anyone experience with this board? Can I expect a "reasonable" result? I will be using it with an Athlon XP2600+, 333MHz FSB, 512MB memory.Thanks in advance for any advise.Regards,;)

I only visit a few FS sites (about 3). But I must say that I have spent a pleasant 45 minutes over at this site. I am not a big FS helio fan (actually I am, I just cant get my X45 Saitek to work in XP properly) but I found the information presented in a elegant and comprehensive format. First off, thanks to FFX/SGA for their work on the 7373 series.Would it be possible to upload the 737 models to Avsim? I am getting 1.57 kb/s when I use the FFX download page and half the time I can't even hit the "back" button or "refresh" button or I'll get a "cannot find server" error. I decided to try out Alert!! Lite to make my flights a little more interesting. I got exactly that, and more.Here I am in a Douglas DC-6B, delivering cargo to Bagdad Intl. After 9 hours of flying I'm on final approach for runway 33R. The runway is about 20 seconds in front of me, and I'm wondering whether or not Alert!! is actually functioning. I upgraded my "already great" Piper Cheyenne yesterday with the new GMAX version, and I am sooooooooo impressed, I just had to let you all know.I'm very particular about Flight Dynamics, and Views..both inside and outside. This is one "sweet bird". She looks beautiful with the dynamic shine. She is truly very real-looking, I swear. The Virtual cockpit can really be enjoyed if you have ActiveCameraPro..because rolling down the runway toward V1 is beautiful to see from this view and the movement simulated in the cockpit with Active Camera is very impressive (force feedback adds more to this as well).
