During my flight planning, I've been struggling to match my flight planned course with the available weather stations inside FS and find I am having great difficulty getting a good match so I have an idea for a utility for one of the very talented programmers here:Before I start: From inside flight sim 2002, go here: World/Weather and then set the global/local radio button to local.Now here's my idea: Develop some kind of module or driver that would allow us to select a FS flight plan and over lay that flight planned course on top of the map view presented in the World/Weather/Local map. I installed the Project Airbus A320 US Airways Shuttle today, having already installed their A320 models in House colors and BMI livery along with the fabulous Eric Marciano panel which works flawlessly. But after installing the US Air model, I opened FS2002 and ran the default Cessna and then loaded the US Air A320, and was greeted by a bizarrely changed 2-D A320 Airbus panel with missing gauges and a totally messed-up FCU with giant fonts, missing panel buttons and readouts, and stuff. I'm having problems getting it to say the callsign correctly. For example, it say Boeing N700MS, instead of Air Jamaica. I imported Air Jamaica, but it still doesn't work.

During the past couple of weeks I've had several weather related probems such as: Winds not updating. Winds aloft the other day were 200/75 and continued all the way to the surface during my descent from FL350. Also using "Force" weather in FSMETEO/Activsky wxRE not always working. Clearing all weather and shutting down all external programs does not clear the problem. It was suggested to me that FS Real-time could be the culprit. I don't want to blame this program or not use it if this is not the case. Anyone else have these problems? I downloaded the latest version but have not installed yet. Thanks for any input.

I was looking at my Jeppesen Sim Charts ver 1.0 for FS2000 and was wondering if I should upgrade to Ver 2.0 or if a new version will be needed for CoF. Basically thinking about using the charts for CoF. As I was looking at ver 1.0 I was thinking that there must be a small amount of data bases of DP's and STAR's including Jeppesen. So why is it that MS didn't include them in CoF (info released in a post here from a Beta tester.) Knowing its not gold and that theres still the time between now and when it hits the shelf and lastly that you still can create a DP by inputing the info in yourself with the flight planner but don't you think that when your designing your flig…

Improved support for 3D graphics hardware acceleration in multiple windows and across multiple monitors Does anyone know exactly what this means? Can we run a panel screen seperatly, and bring up the radio stack on that monitor? I was under the impression that whatever panels you wanted in the second monitor had to be dragged across in FS2002... maybe I'm wrong, haven't tried it out.Chris

Yesterday morning I was operating a flight from Sydney to Perth (B767-300ER) at FL360.FSMeteo had forecast winds aloft at up to 123kts and this eventually, for a period, became a reality from dead ahead. The windspeed indicator was only showing 99 but it only has a 2 digit display.The flight plan was set at a speed of Mach.85 and this was being maintained. However, during the period when the wind was >100 the airspeed indications became inconsistent much of the time, jumping erratically from .85 to .88 down to .82 and even up to .89 occasionally with the result that the overspeed alarm was sounding quite a bit. Hi all,As the release of FS COF rapidly approaches... I'm seriously thinking about building a 'mini' home cockpit to run Microsoft's latest offering. In preparation, I've been doing a lot of browsing over at the "Home Cockpit" Forum; but, after careful consideration, I've decided that everyone over there is NUTS :-). Don't get me wrong, those folks are brilliant - they're smart, imaginative, passionate, and have done things with a piece of plywood that I can only dream about. However, I personally have no ambitions of creating the "perfect" A320 or 757 cockpit... I want something that is 'functional' for everyday use. I dont know.Is it just me or is there something wrong with the C182?Ive been flying it lately and it seems to me that it climbs very slowly(about 750ft per minute at 85kts at 2100RPM)as if it were underpowered or something?I climb at the indicated specs but when I get to about 7500ft it drops off to 500ft per minute at 80kts?Is this normal,or are the flight dynamics screwed?ThanxTheo, South Africa:-sun1

I was wondering if any AI biz jets andor GA aircraft are available for FS? With all the resources for Comercial AI from FSPainter,Aardvark, and PAI pretty much comprehensive, there's a gap when it comes to filling out our GA airports. Although a nice AI L-1011 is still missing.Just curious if any exist?Thanks!!Rick

I apologize if this post is inappropriate here, but it is FS2k2 related, I've always gotten signs for it there, but now when I go there I get a login asking for a password. When did this happen, and how do I get one? Couldn't get anything to load fromn the site to find out what or how. Any help is appreciated, thanks.-JCH

I have just installed Ultimate Traffic but now when I slew any aircraft engines on or off and then press the Y key to take off slew mode the aircraft takes to the air and is out of control. Can anybody help.I think Ultimate Traffic is great.

I'm new to edit voice pack. I just downloaded about 200 new callsigns. One of them included Southwest Airlines. So, when I downloaded Southwest, and tried it in the game, it still just says 991 instead of Southwest 991. I imported it in Edit Voice Pack, and saved it. But, it still doesn't work.

Are there any validated (no opinions please) facts as to whether 2002 aircraft (shareware and payware) will be able to be exported to FS2004 with full functionality?

If you have a long flight tnad want to pause FS at a location, how does anyone do that? I know that the DF B737 offers this in the FMC, and RC2 also offers something similar as an option. Just wondering how you all do this.Thanks,Bruce.

Could anyone point me in the direction of an ATP Aircraft Download, please. Or maybe advise me how I should word a File Library? So far just searching for "ATP" or "ATP Aircraft" has not revealed a single response. I did use 'FS2002 Original Aircraft' as the area for search.

Hi, I am experiencing the following problem (a little hard to explain): when I jump into a FS2002 cockpit with side window bmp's (airplane without virtuell cockpit) and I look outside the windows, everything is fine. But when I enter the menue and then leave it again, I am experiencing a picture overlay. The menue is disappiering from the top to the bottom and the main panel is showing up, this takes about 2-3 sec's. The same then happens when I look outside the window or when I call up a subpanel. Both bmp's overlay and need 2-3 sec for loading. That's pretty unflyable. The problem is not 100% reproducable, means I do not know what to do to actually reproduce this proble…

i can't seem to find posky's forums so i'll ask here; regarding power settings, i'm having to use 92% N1 to achieve 322kias@FL235. anyone know if this high a setting is near accurate? thanks, tt
