  1. I kept locking up while flying and starting in MSFS with the new version of FS Sky World. I followed the instuctions correctly, but to no avail. I could fly, but couldn't change sound, bring up the menu (alt)couldn't USE THE KEYBOARD OR MOUSE AT ALL. I had to Ctrl+alt=del to get out of it, and ended up restarting my computer. Maybe I did something wrong, but I don't know what it is. I deleted all remnants of the previous Sky World as instructed. Now I'm back to the previous version, and have NO problems at all. If you know what's happening, please clue me in. Stan

This message is for anyone who designs jet aircraft,This has been an issue for me for some time. Most aircraft I've flown in Flight Simulator over the past years (FS5 to FS2002) have a maximum surface ceiling of at least 37,000 to 41,000 feet (737,727,A320,757,Corporate, etc). When flying these birds such as CaptainSim's 727 or FFX's 737, I can barely reach 31,000 feet. It wasn't until I ran across this with Eaglesoft's new Premier Business Jet that me with JohnCI's help discovered that certain features in the 'aircraft.cfg' were set unrealistically. This is one example of wrong 'Inlet Area' settings. This is what John discovered:"Climb performance, especially in the …

Anybody interested in the Alert!! program mentioned on the front page? I've used the downloaded "lite" version and have enjoyed it. Dunno if it's gonna be worth the 20+USD, though. Looking for some comments. Thanks,Rick

Okay, here's the situation.I'm in a Boeing 737-400. I want to fly an autopilot Approach Hold landing into KSFO but I keep landing in the water.I'm about 1,800 feet around 20 miles out. I got the glideslope on my HSI. I press the APR button with autopilot armed. And I always plummet into the sea.Is there a trick to using the APR button?Do I disable all other autopilot switches (heading, altitude, IAS) before pressing APR? When should I press APR for the first time? Should autopilot do all of the work in Approach Hold mode? Please help me someone! In a similar question, can you provide quick tips on flying this in manually? I understand I must line up the purple "runwa…

Hi all I was just wandering how many of you, actually fly with full FS2002 ATC. I do usually but Im fed up with it vectoring me away from My Perfectly Planed flight Made with FSBUILD then imported in to my A320 FMC. Obvisouly not using the ATC means I dont know what the active landing runway is, and sometimes I land when not cleared to or I land on the wrong runway. Does anybody have any Ideas to getround this, or at least make it better.Thanks...Jason

I hope not, because I thought about buying it for fs2004 with the Socal Scenery. Perhaps it is down temporarly. Any news would be great. http://www.megascenery.com

I'm doing some airline sim flying. Going into San Francisco International. Have some questions about airliner descent rates.I'm cruising at 30,000 feet. How far out should I start the descent? What is the normal descent rate for a passenger airliner? I don't want to do it too much, want to be realistic. Are there some benchmarks I should aim for? Like so many feet altitude by so-and-so many miles out?thanks for any help!!!

A freind of mine (who I used to work with) got back from Nepal last week and brought over his photos. He spent some time at this seasons Mt. Everest base camp (hundreds of people do this by the way). Anyways he had the chance to fly into a small field in the area. This grass strip brings in all medical supplies for the climbs (mandated by the local government). I think this is the last airport available on the climb route.Anywho, give it a go, it actually does look a bit like the FS2k2 rendition, one way in - one way out.Lukla VNLK 1,600' dirt 9,100' elevationBTW check out this link for it:http://www.dangerous-airports.com/airports/v/vnlk.htmlet me know what you thi…

Ok, here's the story. I just learned how to get rid of the default MSFS airlines, and add real-world airlines. One time, it all worked out having all of my new liveries as AI traffic. Then on out, everytime I replace the default textures, the aircraft dissapear. I installed about 5 project AI traffic, and it populated the airports and crowded them to the max. I'm happy with it, but I'd like to see more liveries than just 5. With the default airlines in new textures, combined with Project AI, it would be a great populated airport. So, after all of that, how do you replace the textures of default airline liveries, into real world airline liveries, without having the …

I recently released the voyager, and a few days later my voyager materialized on several other Flightsim sights. The only difference with mine, and the other version were the readme file, in which a fellow by the name of Ron Watchings took complete credit for the work. www.va-works.com/pirate.html to see the comparison readme files.I would reccomend that all freeware developers look around the different flightsim sites, and make sure that their work hasn't been taken credit for by other People. This quite frankly makes me sick.Al

Yes I posted this on the MAAM site but this forum gets a little more traffic. I am hoping for some help.Hi, I have just switched BT over to my new computer and now I can get the window to close. I have assigned the wing fold to a key and I get nothing. As an experiment I tried one of the Mel Jet triple 7's and the wings folded no problem. It's getting a little cold to fly at altitude so help would be appreciated. ThanksAndrew

Thanks for all the resposnes to my previous post.Okay a couple questions:What exactly is FSUIPC? I don't understand what it is.Second, what are some shareware/freeware utilities (not aircraft or scenery, utilties like FSNavigator) that you think are very useful for Flight Simulator?Like something that adds realistic AI traffic or something. Need help finding these. Just gimme the name and I can find it!

Hello gang:I was just wondering......Every day, excelent files are put up by the excelent builders and painters; and every day I'm checking what's new, checking if those excelent 737's are coming, if those great A319's are up, etc., etc., etc. And of course, evry day I'm downloading stuff. Then comes the part, where I have to install....it takes me hours...of course I'm enjoying that. And the next day, the same, and the same, and the same. So by the end of the week I find myself with about 2 hours of flying and about 8 installing stuff; and I find it is a never ending story...The result is a hangar of about "a lot of planes" which any way I will never fly. So my precise qu…

The ReadMe for this landclass file, found in the Library, did not include the developer's name or e-mail address, so this is an open note to Mr. Johnson.I installed the New Providence landclass (update). Unfortunately it created a towering "mountain" of water easily visible from the southern coast of Florida, Miami International airport. You can reach it flying on a heading of 40 degrees and it's well over 7,000 feet tall. I hope a fix for it can be released. -Lindy :-wave

Could any of the FS04 Betatesters say if the flightbehaviour has improved in FS04 or are there still those bugs present, that we all had to fight against with changes in the aircraft.cfg (wing leveler always on, etc etc.. ) and is it now possible to land the B734 with one engine out on an autopilot guided ILS-Approach ? ? ThanksJ
