Just bought FS9 (which is my first copy in the MSFS series). My last venture into the world of GA flight sim was with Flight unlimited 2 which gave me hours upon hours of pleasure .Now running FU2 under Win98, I was able to use my Cyborg Joystick in connection with my suncom SFS throttle which is the one with split throttle levers and oddle of buttons and switched on it.Running FS9 under Windows 2000, I can't get the axis assigned properly when calibrating under control panel. X/Y no problem. Throttle is the ruight hand throttle lever on the suncom and Rudder if the left hand throttle lever on the suncom. The throttle and twist grip on the cyborg are ignored. i just dont get it...FS2004 ran fine for the last few days and today it wont get past the Splash screen....i have reinstalled...deleted the FS9.cfg and i dont know what else to do...and ideas?

I installed some landclass today, but after installing Pacific Northwest by Neil Hill I noticed some odd things.Landclass files from FS2002 are definitely NOT compatible with FS2004. Am I really the only one in the whole world that cannot install FS2004?I have traded in my first set of blue coasters for another with no change in symptoms. I posted this in the panel forum with no response at all. Thought I try here.How easy or difficult is it to change the font and color of the numbers in the panel of the LEARJET of the autopilot area, heading, speed, altitude, etc....in FS2004.It is sometimes very hard to read and change those numbers.I'd like to make the font larger and use a different color for each if possible.I remember somebody did just that in FS2002Would appreciate any help.Thanks.Abe

A little bit of history first. I got my copy of COF some 7 days ago. I tested it with my system (XP1700+, 512Mb, Radeon 7000...) and was satisfied with a night flight in clear weather. The next day it was a bit cloudy day here and I chose to fly again this time with the realweather. FPS's were 3-5 and depressing.. I understand this was due to my graphic card. ok, I got fs9. Looks great but all those beautiful clouds etc. takes FPS. I'm thinking about new CPU.Now I have Athlon XP2100, Geforce4ti4600, 512RAM, WIN XP. Should I upgrade? I dont know..... I'm thinking about pentium 2.8 because the price difference between 2.8 and 3.0-3.2 is big. If I will go for 2.8 and radeon9800pro, will I notice big difference in FPS? maybe I should get athlon?I dont know.... Please Help...Thank YouJacek

I have happily used the three lever CH Yoke and Pro Pedals in tandem with my Wingman Extreme 3D joystick for some time now; throttle and stick twist disabled on the joystick as A) they're not needed and :( that was the one area I found conflicts when setting up FS2002. Ever since then, they have worked seamlessly together, always plugged in: yoke and pedals for most stuff, stick and pedals for fighters, helis, oldies, etc. I map my Roger Wilco transmit button as a yoke button, but all else is DirectX from within the sim.This week I fired up FS2004 and have been having endless problems with this combination in the new sim. Hello everyone,I've downloaded the DSB Eurofighter, but alas it will not work for me. I did have a problem with extracting it from the zip, as it came up with a CRC error message on selected files. I continued to delete these files, but the aircraft still refuses to appear in fs2002. I have now realised there is no airfile in the zip. I was wondering if anyone with the DSB Eurofighter, whether they could pass on the airfile to me. Atleast if I give it a try it might solve the problem. I searched the message archives for help with this issue but I couldn't find anything. Apologies in advance if a solution has already been posted... I've been using FS9 for three days now and I love it, but I'm still getting the same problem I experienced with FS2002. Whenever I view the kneeboard, or any scrollable text field, the text becomes corrupt as soon as it's scrolled upwards. Scrolling down works fine though, except for one or two blemishes. The effect looks like vertical streaking or washout, and it renders the text illegible. My graphics card is a 128-meg Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro with the latest Catalyst drivers, and I'm running the sim in 1600x1200 fullscreen…

can someone tell me how to install terrain mesh files in FS9. i have just downloaded the new England terrainmesh files but i want to know how to go about proper installation.

I still cannot post in the SSW forum. Anyone know how to switch ATC on in the A310 to talk to ATC. I press the no to connect to clearance when I have flt plan in from Fs2002 flight planner but get no answer. Radio goes to the right comm but I still cannot hear. Other a/c work OK so what am I not switching on. Havr read the manuals but I must be missing something. Denis

Just downloaded the Terrain Mesh England file by Nanucq Faitmain and want to install it. Problem is I am somewhat new to terrain mesh and the readme.txt file was not included in the download. Yesterday, I successfully installed the Nassau Mesh file which was one .bgl file which went into the FS9/ADDON directory. Nanucq's file has five or six .bgl files and I'm not sure if I am required to make a separate folder to place those files into. Any help with this install would be greatly appreciated.

The aircraft texture quality for the Pacific Boeing 737 (and some of the other aircraft)in FS2004 is not the same as it is FS2002.The chrome and aluminum reflections of the engine intake and aluminum under belly are not as bright as they are in FS2002. The Logo, window and door frames are a little fuzzier in FS2004 than 2002 too. In the FS2004 "settings", "display", "aircraft", under "Global aircraft quality" I have "High" in order to have the reflections box checked. There is another selection available "Ultra High". I select that and hit "OK" and when I return to the page it has defaulted back to "High" so I don't know if "Ultra High" was ever in effect.I'm have Windows…

I can raise and lower the seat level using shift+enter and shift+backspace, but only in the forward view. If I select any other view out of the cockpit, shift+enter and shift+backspace have no effect. Is this a common problem?Bill Meier

Hi everybody! I've been using the PA A320 on FS2K2 for a while but I'm experiencing a problem with the rudder, it doesn't seem to move very well. When I press 0 or Enter it moves left or right very slowly (it takes ages to go to the far left/right or go back to neutral). Has anybody else experienced this problem with this great aircraft?
