Is there a way to extend the batery life in fs9 without using FSUIPC? Thank's!

I just completed a flight in the FSD Seneca to Myrtle Beach SC. The flight planwaypoint printout showed a total distance of 499 miles and a flight time of 2 12 hours whic figures about right for 195 knots. The flight took over three hours with each leg taking longer than the estimate such as 12 minute legs took 18 minutes, etc. I just thought the longer time was a little more unusual than I have normally experienced for a flight from PA southward. Am I correct in assuming this was due to winds at my cruising flight level of 180 and if so, how do you get a report of these upper level winds while flying? The weather reports seem to be only specific to each airport. …

Anyone using ez-vfr in fs2004? Not sure if its installing correctly or if it in fact just doesn't work in fs2004.

I installed FS9 on my puter. I have my display settings extremely high quality. I took off from Manchester, NH (KMHT) to fly to Boston (KBOS). My framerates were about 12-15 fps the whole flight. I landed in Boston, and as soon as I landed my FPS went down to 1. I tried everything and I couldn't get a good frame rate. So I created a BRAND NEW flight with my starting point in Boston. Still the same FPS. I set ALL of the Display options to lowest or not enabled. Still 1 fps. I shutdown FS9, and restarted the same Boston flight, set all of my display slider to the right (highest quality) and checked all boxes (except AA) and now I'm getting 12-15 fps again. Has th…

Well, I finally got my copy. Installed perfectly. Got some major FPS problems but expect to tweak them with all the help here in the forum. One problem right now havent' solved is I can't get to full screen using Alt/Enter. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I am a bit surprised that no one seems to have discussed head tracking devices for use with FS2k4? Is there a problem with these? framerates? configuration? other?It seems like it would great now with the VC immersion. I am aware of the IRTracker and I am looking into it. But, I remember there was one around that used a PC cam vs. and IR device. Does anyone have a link or info on thisIf you use this type of thing what are your thoughts? espcially with FS2k4.thanks

Hi all,I was not completely satisfied with the performance on my rig with 2K4. I have most sliders to the left, tweaked the program according to the latest tips (see top of forum, great job btw) and when using lots of clouds, FPS/Fluidity was not the best IMO.I knew that I could give the program more resource by tuning my OS, I went to tweakxp.com and looked at one article System Settings for a Game Machine (http://www.tweakxp.com/display.aspx?id=114) I created a 2nd Hardware profile, rebooted, selected new profile and diabled the services listed in the thread. Sure hope someone can help me on this dilemma.I am on my second attempt of having reinstalled FS2002 and my scenery files.What has happened in both instances is that as I progressively add scenery, OUTSIDE of the FS2002 folder mind you, FS grows unacceptably huge!I have installed 1.35 gig worth of scenery in a separate folder under Microsoft Games, the same folder FS2002 is located in.However, my FS2002 has grown to 17.3 gig and crashes to desktop on about 2 out of three tries to boot up.Very little, with the exception of aircraft, LAGO products, and a few other items such as NOVA textures and Gerrishes trees have been placed inside the FS2002 folder. FS2002 is better than FS9 when one realises the sheer variety of add on aircraft available.For me the difference ends there.I bought FS9 a week back and am still in awe each time I play the sim-sorry it's not a game is it?I plan to remove FS2k2 shortly but would like others opinions on this cos it took a long time fine tuning it to what it is nowThanks JK

I was told to turn this off in FS9.Where do I do this at?

I reset setting to 1280x960x32 in FS9.cfg before starting but it automatically revert back to slower resolution; after that i have to restore my settings in FS menu. Odd thing isn't it? Anyonre for a trick?thanks in advance for helpingLuigi ;-)

Hi all,SSW A310 with RealityXP incompatibility issue is not yet been solved!Who has RealityXP gauges within the gauges folder will have still crashes when trying to load a SSW A310 aircraft and as well as long you have RealityXP gauges AND in the modules folder the SSW DLL you get crashes as well.It seems that SSW has never realy tried to solve this issue and so never communicated with the RealityXP team. No message about that within the SU1.1, just that we should e-mail ssw if any problem with 3th party ADDON comes up...I did send ssw a e-mail and got no reply yet.Another problem is that I cannot load any FS2k2 flightplan into the FMC (MCDU) of the SSW A310.
