Everything else seems great, even the 2-d panel shows with my FX5600U! There is no prop, either spinning or sitting still. Anyone else found a fix? I contacted Carenado, but no reply. I'll hold off on the Archer until I get this fixed.CH

I describe "jitters" as a very fast slide show. I had my FPS locked at 15, which is the same as I had in FS2K2. FS2K2 was smoother. I moved the slider to unlimited and WOW, FS9 was the most fluid I have ever seen. I kept it at unlimited and proceeded to load a new flight from KAVP to KORH. Below is picture from Seattle. It shows a water level higher than the land = levee. Is this correct for Seattle?? Just relaoded FS2004 and began flight in 172sp around Seattle and saw this.By the way had to reload since I lost half of the USA. hey allI bought 512 extra RAM. But now fs2004 gives this error. When you look in the setting you see -> second picI already reinstalled FS and the videocard drivers. I check and according to the device manager the videcard works correct. For the past 3 days everytime in the middle of a flight I would be panning around in spot plane view looking at the scenery when all of a sudden FS2004 would crash and I would get the following error message:Ddhelp"The program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down"Any idea why this is happening?? It has happened everytime Im looking around in the spot view. What can be done to stop this??

My system is a Pentium 4, 1.5. My video card is a "dinosaure", a GeForce 2. Great cerd for FS2002 but...with FS2004!!! This card gives me between 4 to 16 fps but the default aircrafts are "blurred". No stutters but not smooth in turns. Which NVidia drivers should I use? Is there some hope to improve image quality with my new drivers or should I invest in a new card?Thanks.

I've recently installed FS2004, and cannot, despite adjusting many settings, get the panel to display in any aircraft. There is just a black rectamgle where it should be. Virtual cockpit and other views are ok. Looks like a video hardware problem as panels display in safe mode. I have a GeForce FX5200 128Mb card running the latest driver (44.03). Op system is Win ME with 256Mb. I have tried all the obvious stuff like adjusting hardware settings both in and out of the game, checking out DirectX, changing colour depths and resolution...all to no avail! I even tried the previous video driver version.Does anybody have any suggestions???DWB.

I am having difficulty getting the FS2004 King Air to start from the Virtual Cockpit (VC).I can not seem to get the starter switches to stay on long enough for the engines to start (they reset back to off).If I do the same thing in the 2D cockpit everything works OK but in the VC it is a non starter.Does anyone know a way to get the starter switches to stay on in the VC? I would hate to have to use the Ctrl-E to start up in the VC :-(Barry

Is there a tweak to the system that allow (or caches) scenery and AI textures? Occassionally when I change to external views I loose the texture on both the AI A/C and scenery, they appear as white blobs, albeit properly shaped and if A/C moving as they should. I do recall seeing something from MS on this and usually by hitting the backspace key it re-loads the texture, but not always. I am running on an AMD XP1800, XP Pro, 1GB DDR Ram, Radeon 9700 with the Omega drivers. I never had this issue with FS2K2.Kevin

I've been getting online with FS2004 .Flying with Vatsim using Squawkbox 2.3,SBrelay to patch SB to FS2004,Servinfo and Roger Wilco.When connected via SB,the "ATC Directory"in SB fails to show the available frequencies.Connection can be made by looking up the RW server on Servinfo,and writing it into the IP address box on RW then clicking join.Can anyone tell me if it is possible to get SB to do this - as it does in FS2002.Or is it because SB2.3 is not really made for 2004 and we'll have to wait until SB 3 becomes available?Dave

I have read it somewhere that FS2004 has a dark sky at night with virtually no Horizon. Is this true? because the other night I flew at FL370 at around mid-night and the sky was lit with half moon and plenty of stars. Please confirm or let me know what I'm doing wrong thanks.

At busy airports, I've noticed that a lot of AI traffic has to make go arounds when landing. Its usually because the plane that landed in front of it is slow in getting off the runway. Is there a way to make the AI get off the runway quicker? I really don't want to decrease the traffic percentage. For example, as I was landing at SFO, ATC told me to go around because the 737 infront of me was still on the runway. When I finally started my second approach(30+ minutes later) there was another plane fairly close in front of me, and I probably would have had to do another go around if I hadn't slewed my plane a couple miles back(I wasn't going to spend another half an ho…

I really want to use Project AI b/c I loved it in 2k2. Any idea if the models are more framerate friendly in FS9 than Ultimate Traffic or My traffic. I would presume they are. Hi all,EVERYTIME I exit flight simulator and right after I either cancel or make a logbook entry I get the following message..."Ddhelp has caused an error in NVDD32.DLL. Ddhelp will now close". I know this is a continuing problem for many using FS9 so I HOPE that M$, ATI and nVidia gets on it soon! I have tried just about everything to get rid of my graphics Flicker/Shimmering as per all the good suggestions here in the forum but with that all said I am still getting alot of flicker!! It is very disapointing to see this happening with FS9 considering I have just about every other flight simulator installed on my rig and they all look BEAUTIFUL! - No Flicker and Shimmering!What ta do?...

I have noticed a very long delay (10 - 15 seconds) between messages. Any idea what causes this? Is there a setting in the cfg file that can lower this? Response in FS2K2 was much quicker.Chris

After much cursing x( over a scenery file that I downloaded from AVSIM that created an error message on my FS2k2-Pro (because the file was not formatted properly and it corrupted some of my scenery files), I thought it might be a great idea if someone could write a program to scan a downloaded scenery or aircraft file to check the formatting.Perhaps this already exists, if so, please let me know the name and where to obtain it.I understand that we are all "amateurs", but it is very frustrating to have to reload your FS to eliminate the corruption.Thanks GuysTodd"...with a tin cup for a chalice..."

Hi, I wonder if anyone may have a solution to this problem? When I fly either of the Cessna's in FS9 there are two grey lines that protrude out from the elevators at the back of the planes. The Readme file that came with FS9 mention this as a problem but they offer no solution. I do have the latest drivers for the video card. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.Sydneyborn :-wave

Is it possible to eliminate all the default textures in the default AC and replace them with repaints, and still have the AC show up in the opening screen for loading?Chris

several aircraft I have including the default beechcraft 350, keeps cutting off every 15 seconds or so. I have to keep pressing CTRL+e everytime this happens to restart the electrical systems. Only the electrical systems are affected. Does anyone know y this is?

Hi Before I buy fs2004 I was very disappointed with fs2004 according to my friends posts who were complaining about fs2004 and its problems, but now after 3 days of testing fs 2004 (31.5 hours) in my slow pc I am completely satisfied with this version of fs. Every things is amazingly improved and performance is unbelievable (I get 6 to 10 frame per second even with all sliders max!!!), loading is very fast and it is not like fs2002 at all .fs2004 run better and smoother on my PC and even better than fs2000 or 2002.There is no shatter as I had in fs2000 and 2002, no more crash on Windows 9x as we had in fs2002 and no solid and sheet like clouds.
