I am after some information/advice. After flying for about 30 mins, first flight after loading program, the PC rebooted. When it finally came back, logged in etc, no error messages, no FS9 caused this or that, no send/don't send message.I was using the default 737, and had the GPS open at the time.I vaguely remember reading before about crashes after 1 hour or something, but the search page refuses to give me anything past page 1, so hoping someone can help.Does anyone have any clues.P4 1.8512MB RamGeforce3 TI200 with version 43.00

I see some FFX DC-10 a/c (excellent) in the FS9 section of the library here. Are they different to those for FS2002? Any different textures? What panel(s) do you all use in FS9 the the -10?Thanks,Bruce.

If you want to skip going through C: Drive to get it, do this:Go to your FS9 directory, right click anywhere in the open field area (not over folders) and select Create New Shortcut.Navigate to the location of your FS9.CFG (Varies with different OS) and click OK. Everything you save will be saved in the original FS9.CFG location. You are just makeing a shortcut.Now you won't have to go through a million folders to get FS9.CFG. ;)Regards,

Hi,FS2004 has been working fine, however I added some scenery and now I receive this message each time I start FS. I even logged into the real admin account on this machine but still get the error. What gives??http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/26580.jpgThe funny part is that the scenery shows up once I am in the sim... I just don't want to have this message keep popping up when I start FS. Did some searching on the forum and it sounds like others had this problem, but I did not see any way to fix it. I am on WinXP by the way.

I have been using the ATI Radeon 9700 Pro for the better part of a year and have had few problems with it out side that I couldn't run CFS 3. This was corrected with new drivers and a patch for the sim. Ok, that being said I have used the same driver set(Catalyst 3.5) for FS2002 for some time. When I got my hot little hands on Flight Sim (Game?)04, I thought that I might need to update the driver for it. It worked fine. I played this way for about a week then I did the somethign stupid. Hello.Reference FltSim2004 is anybody else experiencing a problem with the Briefing Box that precedes any and all scenarios before a flight. Whenever I scroll up or down the characters begin to bleed all over the page until it becomes unreadable. I have the latest drivers on my ATI Radeon 9700 Pro video card, which is running on a AMD Athlon 2400+ computer with a MSI mb. Strange! Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

Hello Gang!I just finished trying to shoot some approaches into Princeville airport in Kauai, Hawaii, and unfortunately, the folks at Microsoft decided to grow a big palm tree, right smack in the middle of the final approach to the runway, just about the area where you hit the minimums. It's impossible to land at that airport with that tree in the way guys!!!!! That did not happen in 2002.While I'm at it, they should also remove the humongous autogen building that grows inside of TJSJ in Puerto Rico - that building is not supposed to be there, east of the American Airlines terminal.Also, I'm sure you've all noticed by now, but world bridges are all over the map, except …

Theres been some discussion regarding the relative performance of FS2004 in WinME compared to WinXP.Here I have got dual boot ME/XP and have installed FS2004 in both.Obviously ,hardware is the same for both systems.Apart from the OS the only difference is the Nvidia Driver for XP.Using the default settings for display (but nil weather),and the default flight, I have found the differences in performance as follows.(Framerates are averages of two runs each)Taxi/takeoff with full panel Win ME 15-17FPS,XP 19-22FPSIn level flight.default view ME 23-25 fps,XP 30+ fpsTower view ,looking up at a/c - no scenery except sky-ME 70+ fps,XP 100+fpsLanding -cockpit view with no panel -M…

This isn' new to 2004 but on trike gear planes the rudder response is not only delayed but disporportionate and rotation of the plane doesn't result in a directional change of the aircraft.

There does seem to me to be a fair mix of people saying that FS2004 is great while others say it is crap! Obviously, there probably are issues with various hardwares and driver mixes. But it appears to me that maybe something else is going on!So one thing I am wondering is this? How many people are giving FS2004 a good run by itself -- in default condition?. How many people have installed it and immediately added all kinds of addons? Not sure if the post(link below) has become widely read yet in the general FS community, but it should be required reading. Essentially, quite a few very experienced aircraft developers seem to be coming to a pretty scary conclusion- that critical airfile information that's part of FS2002 aircraft is not being translated into FS2004, and that aircraft which seem to transfer without issue are in fact missing critical information for their flight dynamics. Moreover, even aircraft designed to be FS2004 compatible (or compatible with only a few tweaks) are lacking this data in FS2004. For those of you used to the FS2002 cockpit view panning where you can flick to left or right and then return to centre forward view, FS9 cockpit panning is remarkably different where there is a full smooth pan. I can't select "Ultra High" aircraft quality and make it stick. When I return to the page after clicking "OK" it has reset itself to "High". The same for Water. I can't select "High" and make it stick, it resets itself to "Low". I can't have the Land & water slider set to "High" and have the Water set to "High" at the same time. When I select the clouds to "Ultra High" it remains there when I return to the weather page.Is it my equipment that doesn't allow those settings to take hold? Has anyone succesfully gotten SB Relay to work with COF? I haven't. I don't, however, know if it is isolated to me or not. When I first installed DX9 I was unable to connect to vatsim. Thanks to XP's roll back feature I was able to get DX8 back. Read the posts on how DX9a was OK with SB, installed and nothing cannot connect to session. Now with COF SB Relay states that the server session is created but COF cannot find an active session. Hello All,Yesterday I directed people in this forum to a really important thread over on the developer's forum, regarding the changes just being discovered in the way MS2004 handles the simulation of flight dynamics. These talented people have looked beyond the new eye candy at the heart of how FS2004 works, and have found some very disturbing things.The thread seems to be coming to a conclusion, and its not a good one for anyone who thinks FS is more than a game. I can't say it always happens, but most of the time when I try to edit payload, when I hit the OK button, it kicks me back to desktop.Quite a few add on planes come up over max gross, I may have to edit via cfg files...Don't seem to have a prob editing fuel loads, just payload.Anyone else seen this?Dave

I must admit, having FS2004 for over a week, I was at first starstruck but now the honeymoon is over, and it is time for us to band together and discuss some issues that need to be discussed.First of all, the "p" word. Microsoft never released on for FS2002, FS2000 did have one, but only after constant nagging by the FS community. Plain and simple FS2004 needs one too.
