I am having a problem for some reason. My throttle on my stick is set to idle but the epr settles around 33.3. I release the breaks and the craft rolls farward. I press the F1 key and the epr settles even lower down to 20.8. If I watch the throttle quad also if I set full power with the stick the throttles go into the full pos for a second or so then back off about an inch on the quad. What is going wrong here? I am using FS9. This never happened in FS2002.The above is what I posted on the PMDG board its for there 737. But still it does the same in all aircraft what gives?I just noticed that its on all aircraft. I just loaded fs2002 and the cessna idles around 500 - 600…

I am presently running a P4 2.5 with a GeForce FX 5200 and 512mb RAM. With this system, about the best I can hope for visually and still maintain a fairly good framerate is 1024x768x32, with NO AA (either within the sim or from my card settings). Today however, I experimented and moved my resolution down to 800x640x32 in full-screen mode, and found that I could run with everything on the default "high" settings at Seattle-Tacoma and MAINTAIN a framerate of 18-20fps "with" FSAAx2. The only drawback of course is the visual quality and the clarity of some of the guages. My question to you is this....how many of you currently run in 800x640x32, and are you satisfied? I hear s…

Hey all - new to the forum...I am guessing Print Screen will take a screen - yet I can't find the shots. Even searched for bmp/jpgs on my rig - no joy. hey,i have recently got in to flying airbus a319/a320/a321 which is a change from the 737/757 that i am used to flying. I purchased the pss a320 package but found that my pc can't handle it. I then downloaded the a320 panel by marco spada with the real crt gauges to use until i get my pc updated. The problem is that i cant seem to use the auto pilot. Could someoine please give me a sort of walkthrough of how to load up a flight plan into the fmc and then how to make the auto pilot fly it. Thanx,graham

Hello all, I am having a problem with the way water is displayed in fs2004. It apears that the textures are not being displayed in the immediate vicinty of my aircraft. If you look at the attached screen shots in the distance the water is fine but as I fly towards it the display changes to and the textures seem to disappear. I have searched on the forums but cannot find anything relating to my own problem.I have tried various resoloutions, colour depths and tinkering with the display sliders, mip mapping etc all with a negative result. Sorry to post on this forum but my question got drowned under on the PMDG forum! That's a busy place....So - To whom ever owns the PMDG 737NG,In preparation of my purchase, I'm wondering if anyone can offer a comparison in frame rates to other payware aircraft?How, for example, does the PMDG 737 compare to the PSS Dash 8 or Captain Sim's 727?If anyone can provide me with a response to these I'd be very greatful as I already own the two above mentioned planes. These currently perform well but push my PC horses to the near limit. I do however have more RAM ordered to boost performance.Thank you and regards,Boone

This is what I have seen alot of peeps here setting their Radius settings at in the fs9.cfg>TERRAIN_DEFAULT_RADIUS=9.500000>TERRAIN_EXTENDED_RADIUS=4.50000But, when I opened my fs.cfg to see what the default was it was the following:TERRAIN_DEFAULT_RADIUS=0.000000TERRAIN_EXTENDED_RADIUS=0.000000HUH? They are both set at 0 for the default! Is this right? I was wondering that if they are at the default zero what is the sim doing with that setting? What does the new setting of 9.5 and 4.5 give us?

Have lost forward view with panel showing in FS2004 using SSW A310 - still cannot post on their forum. Only this a/c does this in FS2004??? Was OK when first installed.Denis

Hi all,I'm trying to add to the FS2004 stable, and am now working with the FFX DC10. Seems I get a sound error when loading one of the DC 10 panel choices. Also not particularly happy with one of the Sound choices I found in the library.What panel (hopefully realistic and fully functional) and Sound set are any of you successfully using with this great plane. Hello, I'm looking for a good USB joypad that could decently use to fly FS, on my notebook. Could you recomend me one that could smoothly control all 3 axis and a trottle of the airplane? I saw a coupple of Logitech wingman pad model that has a mini stick and slide throttle control but I'm not sure it could control rudder. I'm just looking for a compact control alternative to a stick to fly FS.

Hi all! I have run into something that I don't know if it is an isolated problem, or if it is infact a bug. I have been going to several airports around the world and have noticed that the ramp areas appear and disappear. I see taxilines in grass areas, but if I slew around the areas at a higher altitude the ramps will appear. It looks like it's an elevation problem. I have seen it occur on some runways, but it seems to affect the ramp areas much more. Thanks for any feedback you can give me.Don

Does anyone else experience flickering when opening the top menu in full screen mode?I am running at 1600 res with Radeon 9700 pro.

I haven't seen this discussed concerning FS9 yet so I thought I would open up the flood gates...I would have thought that with all the complaints from users that M$ would have built in the functionality to turn off individual joysticks. It is a real pain in the proverbial flight seat of the pants to have to keep unpluging my two other Logitech joysticks when I want to use my CH Yoke!Maybe some inventive third party developer will come up with a patch that will finally let us choose the joystick we want to fly with from within FS9?

Hello Everyone,I have a MS Precision 2 joystick that no matter what I try, I am unable to use the HAT. I went into the view settings and assigned the hat to a view. When I went to assign a different view, the HAT assignment went on the new selection and removed itself from the prior assignment. Is there something I can do to get the HAT to work? It acts the same in the normal view, and the virtual view. I am running XP as well.

Sheesh, I am amazed how even 2x FSAA with far right slider settings almost cripples my PC, and with 1024 RDRAM on a high-end DELL. Now it is amazingly smooth without FSAA and sliders are full right on almost everything except TRAFFIC. You CAN have too much cloud effects as well by full righti-ing them but it's fun to have that option available.Anyway, turn off FSAA and keep it off. It is a waste of power.JS

Sorry if this has been posted here recently. Did some digging and cant seem to find this asked before.System: AMD XP1600+ 512 DDR Ram TNT 32mb AGP Windows ME FS2004 COFI have had the sim loaded for two days and it runs surprisingly well considering so many people have 'problems' and COF actually runs better than FS2002 did!Anyhow, at night I have noticed that there are many clouds showing up in pitch darkness as whitish-silverish with a tinge of purple. Is this supposed to an attempt to model the near-full moon lighting them up or somthing else? I have changed my settings far and wide, and cannot seem to determine why this is.Any ideas?

Can anyone reccomend or point me to a decent control setup (cyclic Stick, throttle/collective stick, peddals) for use with the helicopter models in FS2004? I have flown radio controlled helicopters and would like to try out some first person flight with as realistic control as possible.Thanks for any help!Regards.

I recently reinstalled fs 2002 on my new computer. I am now getting an error message when i try to access real world weather in Fs 2002 "A connection with the server could not be established"I remember i got that message when i first installed Fs 2002 a couple years ago and someone in the forum had me either change a congig file or an ini file. Does anybody know how what i need to do to access real world weather in fs 2002?Thanks,Tony
