Hi, how do you get the new callsigns from edit voicepack? I have read the instructions but still do not get for example "Planet" for a callsign for planet airways. Even though its in Edit Voice pack. Thanks,Bill

Don't know if this exists anywhere else in FS9, but MS has conveniently replaced the yellow bordered fuel area with a taxi up, self serve fuel fill up. Watch out for the roof! :D

Thank God...now I can enjoy FS9 as it was intended. Got the drivers (45.23) off the Nvidia site and they work great with my FX5900/Falcon Northwest Mach V 2.4 machine. Be sure to uninstall your current drivers BEFORE you install the new ones, and disable virus protection before the install process.

After installing the new version of EditVoicepack v3.0 for FS2004 I got notification of a program named "Hotbar" trying to access the internet after rebooting.I ran AddAware and sure enough, it found Hotbar to be spyware. Since the folder was from the same time I installed the program, so I would urge people who install this program to run it through AddAware.EDIT: I tried uninstalling EVP and installing it again, and this time the program did not show up. Since this program was the only thing i have installed at all for days this is very odd :-?

If you use a joystick and feel that the controls are too sensitive you might want to try this fix. Add the following line to your FS9.cfg file under[CONTROLS]stick_sensitivity_mode=0You will probably need to readjust the sensitivity sliders in FS9 if you have them set to the far left now.Richard

With the new FS2004, I surely hope to see two great aircraft, built with the very high quality they deserve. I am still wondering how come and nobody built them so far. Yes, I'm talking about the F-4 Phantom II and the English Electric Lightning. If you love aircraft, then you know them and you know what I'm talking about. Before you criticize me, yes, there have been several payware and freeware, but, let's be honest. Nothing that could approach FSD, Dreamfleet, Phoenix, Captain Sim and Lago quality. I surely hope.....Andyhttp://www.x-plane.org/users/mirage/signature2.jpg

I have used the thunderstorm theme, but frankly, I can fly right into them with nothing more than light turbulence experienced. Is there any setting that will make thunderstorms truly hazardous to the aircraft? Can you avoid thunderstorm cells in FS2004 or are they local to all areas in the vicinity you are flying?I downloaded Calibre's "Approaching Front" theme. I sat on the runway and went to 128X on simulator rate. The frontal storms stayed in the distance west of me. Does weather really move (not just clouds moving by) in the FS2004 themes. I know it builds and disipates but does it move geographically? Thanks for any and all responses.

I understand that the CH Prod flight controler with rudder pedals don't work well with AMD Anthlon and VIA chipsets and/or Win 98 (2). However, I have the AMD Anthlon with SIS chipset (ECS mobo) and Windows XP. Should I be able to use the CH Products with this system with no problems or conflicts? thanks, louross.

  17. I changed from nVidia 41.07 to the leaked 45.20 drivers for FS2004 and thought they worked pretty well. I now wonder whether they are causing some problem when turning off the PC because of an End Program screen message relating to closing down the nVidia TwinView (I have dual monitors) I see from time to time when logging off. This never happened before. (Or could this be due to DirectX 9.0b ?)What other nVidia drivers should I try or use in the circumstances? I have a DELL 8200 with factory installed Ti-4600.Appreciate posts, thanks!JS

Just a quick theory.I'm thinking, and I'm a total neophyte when it comes to things like this, but what if FS2004 is a little more video card dependant, and most of our problems are resulting from the poor driver performance of the ATI cards. Running in windows mode, to me, seems to offer much less performance than in full screen mode. Ergo, running in window mode is causing the stutters and problems we're experiencing, in addition to the problems with the ATI cards.Am I way off base?-pretty much waiting until ATI releases compatible drivers to really see if FS2004 is a lemon!

I am talking about the fair weather sky - your typical blue sky. I made a comparison between FS2002 and FS2004. I find that the sky in FS2002 is more realistic, in FS2004 it is too intense blue. This is what I was afraid - weather artists on the FS team get so excited they will overdo some effects. The first one is in FS2002, the second is FS2004.Michael J.

This is my first post so bear with me. I have read a few of the Multi Monitor problem posts and they helped me along. So it is time to give something back.Tired of reshuffling extra panles around on multiple monitors - I was, until I discovered this work around:1. Load up FS9 & your favourite aircraft2. Start a flight & go to a Windowed main panel.3. Open up your extra panel windows, move them to your other monitor(s) and resize making sure you leave an allowance for the Windows frames which will disapear in full screen mode.4. Save the flight!!!!! MOST IMPORTANT5. Switch to 3d mode and check the position of your extra windows.6. If you need to adjust, go back to …

Only at defult Seattle. Sorry if its been already posted, but I coulsnt find any refrences in my search.Flight sim crashes at only the defult start location when any amount of AI traffic is enabled. I'll get about - minutes worth of sim time before the crash. It will also crash if I fly in to the area (tested flight from CYXT, over an hours flight time, once in the aproximate Seattle area COF crashed to desktop)I'm using 100% stock traffic, and the problem does not happen in any of the airports I normally fly out of. It will be hard to back track files that I have installed, I rarely fly out of Seattle so I dont really know how long …
