Have a simple question for all of you FS9 gurus out there :-zhelp. I've noticed the usual barrage of good repaints starting to take place for the default aircraft supplied with ACOF. I've never messed with these before, but am wondering if they will also show up as AI aircraft if installed, since they are based on default aircraft. Thanks for any help, and happy flying.

Hi all,In FS2002 I used to be able to up and down (SHIFT+RNTER)the pilot view, foward loking and all lateral views.How can I do this on FS2004? It appears I van only up or down the view on the foward looking view.Thanks, Firmo

If it were 20 degrees F. and I did all the things nessassary to get in the air Safly, and in mid flight opened my crowl flaps to full wouldnt my engine frezze up in time due to atmospheric conditions?Thanks

Hi,I recently got a Radeon 9800 pro and am running at 1600 x 1200 x 16 as it is the highest option in my FS menu. I see people here are running at 1600 x 1200 x 32 in 02. How do you do this?Thanks,Glenn

Is there anyone who knows of a freeware Concorde available for FS2004.I did buy FS2000 and had it, but my kids broke "the disk" (of course the one that had the planes on it), and being that I was running FS2002, and I could not get the concorde flying well I was not too upset.Well, now, with Ultimate Traffic, and COF out, I would like to get behind the concorde again. I know that I can't "pirate" it, but was wondering if there is a freeware version that is out there that works with FS2004 and is fairly decent.Anyway, thanks for any assistance.Will.

Ok. Well I installed a GForce FX 5200 AGP 128 mb graphics card to help my flight sim 2004 run better. Well, now when Im in the full view of the game, the panel is just a black box but when I go to the view with the box around the game with the minimize button and stuff, the panel is there. Whats wrong?

Which should I use...and why is there even a choice?I'd really like to know the reasoning for each choice. Stan

I have to say that there is a chalk and cheese difference between the incredible feel of flying in FS2004 compared to earlier versions of the sim. Especially in the Piper Cub. I have to say that mastering this aircraft is about as difficult as it was learn how to drive a lap in Grand Prix Legends without crashing.I've been practicing all afternoon and I have lost count of the number of Cubs I've written off. So I'm just wondering how others are going with it, and what real pilots think of it.What I have found is that it seems necessary to be very agressive with the rudder pedal during takeoff. Hi guys, I just wanted to know if anyone has experienced things shooting out of their aircraft to the edge of the screen? It has to be a graphic problem, what I mean is that tiny line flicker from my aircraft to the edge of the screen, they last less than 0.1 seconds and its really annoying. I have Geforce 2 MX/MX400 card and its only happened on FS2004 as severe as this! Any suggestions on how to stop them? I would show a pic but they're so hard to catch!

THIS IS A POST FOR ALL ARIANE BBJ USERES.i just bought the ariane bbj and installed it to fs04 and at the end of the install a little screen apperared on my screen that said this: liblnst......... scerny.cfg file not found program aborted.thaen when i went into my game,i choose the bbj and the winglets are not there ,and also when you opened the main door you can see right throught it .so what do i do???????????????????????thanks brian

I remembered something from the old days and decided to try it out, with some promising effects.I usually run my desktop at 1152x864 and FS9 at 1024x768. Resizing my desktop to the same resolution as FS9 prior to launching seems to give me a considerable performance boost... in my case, about 3-4 fps (which is quite a bit considering I was getting about 10 at high density airports with all sliders maxed)Anyone care to test this out and comment?Luhiss

This is very strange pic.Happened in Anchorage, thought I was being incvaded by UFO'sMaybe, just maybe, this is a clue to the slow downs by 100% AI, I had it at 76% .....Maybe ther are groups of AI by error being managed by the FS9 engine, wasting resources???Allen

These fourms have been invaluable to be....Thanks to the suggestions of many I now fun between 25 and 30 fps. I've made some sacrifices, (I haven't maxed out everything), but to me the sim looks so nice and smooth I really don't need everything maxed. But here's comes the big question...I have an 9700 Radeon Pro. The trees flicker, there are moving lines through the buildings and roads, the aircraft # on my planes even flicker... I admit, I don't understand about the new 64 bit processors that are just around the corner.Will FS and current programs even run on these new systems? hi gents,already posted in other forums but no answer so far....anyone else experiencing a very bad ILS capture with PA A320 in FS2004? the turn/roll rate seems to be very sluggish (just a few degrees) and therefore the aircraft swings back and forth to caputure the ILS (even when intercepting the ILS less than 30 degrees)...the glideslope is working though...or, does someone know, how to modify the aircraft.cfg or know which parameter (s) (i.e. rollrate?) in the aircraft.cfg determines the ILS capture or localizer capture?any help appreciated!cheers, harald

Alright, this has been bugging me for quite a while and finally decided to ask for help.Now when taxi'ing around airports in these great planes (and all others), I do it by using Flightdirector ON and Auto Throttles ON and then on the speed hold gauge select a speed to taxi with (eg 10 IAS).The problem I've found is that when I do this with these 737's (the speed increases and keeps doing it unless I do alot of brake-jockying.Also, when setting A/T to OFF and pressing F1 the throttles go down but again, speed encreases. Of all the 737s in this series only the 737-200 doesnt show this kind of behaviour.Is there any kind of way to fix this either in the aircraft.cfg or in t…

I reinstalled the sim today. Thought that might solve some issues I was having....nope not it. So I thought long and hard and did a few clean up things, drivers, defrag etc, (did that last night too :) ) I figured there is no reason to reformat if everything else is doing well. I put all my video tweaks back to defaults and started from scratch. What I have discovered is that the GF 4 Ti 4200 can't hack it with any kind of Anti Aliasing enabled for this sim. I think it might have something to do with this being a DX9 game and the 4200 aint a DX9 card, plain and simple. I can do 2XFSAA if I want, but why when it pretty much cuts performance in half. Hi all!I have been using FS2004 now for a couple of weeks, not everyday, but have been getting some flying in, and trying out the new features. One of those which I find to be excellent is the "signs" that are now at the airports, but I was troubled with the fact that its very difficult to find your way around an airport using the "taxiway signs" etc when directed by ATC without some kind of guide, and "progressive taxi" just makes it too fake to be "as real as it gets"! I'm using the newest version of yRoute. Used the lastest TTools to decompile.....opened yRoute and deleted the airplanes and flight plans that I didn't want, saved everything and exited yRoute. Opened TTools again and hit compile, now it finds errors in the flight plans even though I never altered the text.If I just decompile with ttools and then delete a line of text (a single flight plan), and then compile, it all works out fine. Is it just because I'm using yRoute???? I've used previous version back in FS2002 and never had this kind of problem. Hello all simmers,How would Dx9.1b effect my OS Window ME and would it be a good idea to upgrade to the lastest DX?SO far, on my system (Asus MB, P3 1Ghz processor, Asus Gforce3 64mb graphic card with SB Live sound card and 768Mb memory running at 150mhz)have not [touch wood! :)] given me any problems!!! I AM AMAZED!! I put off getting the eaglesoft aircraft because I didn't think my system could handle them from the posts I have seen and talking to others that had them.
