For those of us with undocking issues in full screen mode that appear to be unresolvable at this stage, how about cutting and pasting the scenery, textures, and clouds from FS2002 into Fs2004? Anybody tried it ?Maybe I'll try after breakfast today. It's a lazy, sunny Sunday in McLean, VA and I could do with another 8 to 12 hours of tweaking after a mere 400 this past 3 weeks...!JS

Hi all:In FS 2002, I could type in relevant flight notes about any particular flight. i.e. Airport VOR's, ILS frequency, NDB, elevation, etc. I can't not seem to find the way to do it in FS 2004.I understand that I can click on the "Map" icon in FS 2004 and pull up a map of the area showing my flight path, airports, VOR's etc., but I have to physically write the numbers down on a piece of paper and keep it handy. Pulling up the map puts the sim into Pause mode, which is somewhat disruptive.In FS 2002, all I had to do was copy and paste the map info onto the clip board, then whenever needed, pop up the clip board with that data, all the while flying merrily along with no "…

I re insatlled the 44.03 I have frame rates of average 25 -35 out the right r side r center and r rear views. The fronte,left ,l center and l rear average 12-15-17 ??Any suggestionsThe drivers?

The sim was working GREAT! I was at CYVR with most slider 2/3 and everything was smooth..the textures were great..the buildings even looked real..they had a slight shimmer from the distance ..but I Could have worked on that. FPS's were 25-27 34, I could not believe it, I saw what I was missing..But within minutes, the system bogged down again..It has to be drivers GRRRRrrrrrrrr!Any help app>MB

Hi,Quick question: Does the new Active Camera for FS2004 need FSUIP to get the effects? I downloaded the new version that is only functional in Seattle, and I will buy it if I like it (used it in 2002), but I can't seem to get the "movement" in VC when taking off or landing(or turbulence for that matter). I've played with the settings, and it doesn't seem to change anything.What's the secret? Stanp.s. How many of you are going to make the move to Active Camera now that it's shareware. I will...if I get it to work.

This may have already been discovered and posted, if so, I apologize. I still have FS 2002 on my computer and the bridges in FS 2002 weren't bad, so I figured that I could use them in FS 2004. My problem was I wasn't sure which bgl files to use, so I experimented and used all the Scenery bgl files and the Texture files for the US regions (NE, SE, NC, NW, etc). I made a folder "FS 2002 Scenery" and placed it in the Addon Scenery folder in 2004. In the FS 2002 Scenery folder, I put two more folders, Scenery and Texture. I put all the above mentioned bgl files in the new scenery folder and there were only a few texture files to put in the new folder. I did delete the n…

Then download the real world weather and fly around Sydney (ie YSSY, YSBK, YSCN or YHOX). I tuned into the real ATIS at Sydney terminal this morning and the surface winds were 30 - 50 knots. Near where I live I understand a few houses are debating whether to keep their roofs or not. So I downloaded the real world weather and the surface winds were 37 knots at YSSY, 29 knots at YSBK and 26 knots at YSCN. It might not be the worst conditions, but this sort of wind is unusual..a bit early for Winter as usually our windiest days are during Spring.

Hi All,I have noticed a few times now that when going into spot view to watch the plane from outside for a while, I seem to get a white plane and crappy ground textures,sometimes on landing when going to watch the outside view this happens too,and the ai planes are white too,I am up to date with my drivers and just wondered if it might be worth trying these Omega drivers or whatever they are called that I keep hearing about, I'm using the Hercules 9800 Pro with the 6.14.10.6368 drivers.PS, any replies to this should be in idiot form, that way I can follow what you mean,thanksSteve. PPS, a link for the drivers would be a big help too.

My King Air 350 taxi speed is too high. I have the throttle calibrated. The throttle is at idle. The condition levers are at idle and the taxi speed is too high. Is there any way to fix this problem? Thanks, regards, Bob.

I have noticed that every time i start my take off roll at Milan Malpensa Airport, Italy in FS9, the aircraft 'bops' up and down vertically, as if the runway is corregated!It is quite a drastic and unreasonable motion, it even happens with no significant weather conditions, so its not the winds that's causing the problem. It is really frustrating and seems to happen on any of the runways at the airport and happens regardless of which aircraft i fly- even the default aircraft.This is surely a bug/fault common with all the FS9 sims, as i even got my first copy exchanged from the place of purchase when i realised this problem. I think someone posted about this - did a search, but could not find it.I'm in the Cessna 182. On an ILS approach to KLAX. All works as it did in FS2K2. However, as soon as I disengage the autopilot, the plane jerks violently upward.Why does this happen?JerryG

Hi,I downloaded the AIRBUS A300 B4-2C panel patch (a3bgtfs9.zip) for FS2004 an installed the panel. My problem is, I can not tune the NAV1 /2 frequency in the cockpit. I am using FS2004.Can someone help me? I would appreciate it.Thanx very much.Best regards Frank

I have already set PAN_IN_COCKPIT_MODE=1 to be able to pan in cockpit mode using my joystick hat switch.The problem is when I look on a side, I can't pan any more. It works well in front view, but not in side view. This used to work fine in FS2002.Any idea?Thanks !!

I understand that MS had admitted that their Patch Q811493 for Win XPresulted in a significant reduction in the Frame Per Second (fps) in the FS 2002 and FS9.MS is now saying that the patch has been updated so it no longer causes significant reductions in FPS.Has anyone experience with the updated patch Q811493, and is the MSclaim correct, that there is no adverse impact to the FPS?Thank you.Stanner

You know- The GPS causes major stutters for me, so I've been flying without it. This made me think. This is fairly new technology and alot of pilots flew along time without this guy. It's really making me pay attention to the map more. It's amazing how much the GPS really makes everything so much more easier. Phewww. Anyone fly without it?Also, I sure do wish the GPS from fs2002 could work in fs2004! That would be a good compromise. The fs2004 version causes major stutters for me-even when closed.Todd

Hi after posting some graphic problems earlier and having poor frame rates i kept on tweaking my video card Ti4200 gf4 128 mg, i would get lots of improvements but allways something would go wrong graphically, ie, plane textures white no colour and on and on. Then suddenly just before the last time i gave up b4 the colour went dry i heard a strange sound coming from my blaster live audio card. I then started to wonder even with the latest drivers, if it was the sound card all along causing the problems. Guess what?! i disabled the Blaster card and reverted to the onboard card nforce audio and i now love this sim, not that i would ever doubt that it wouldn't be the bes…

What is the minimum instrumentation an aircraft needs in order to legally fly ifr? The fs9 DC3 has no transponder, which I would think would disqualify it right there. Even if it had a transponder, it has not dme capability and no course deviation indicator on the vor needle. If this were a real plane would it be legal to file an ifr flight plan?While we're on the subject, what's up with the rmi? A needle tuned to an adf signal will always point at the source of the signal regardless of what the compass card is set at.
