Hi,I thought I got rid of the crashes - but alas! they still plague me. At random intervals, sometimes FS crashes in the first 5 minutes, 5 times in a row, sometimes I am able to complete a flight and crash when switching off the engines. Lots of times I will leave FS running and it will crash after 20 minutes or an hour without me touching anything!! On the other side, I was working on a 738 NG panel the other day, had FS running, FS Panel studio, Paint Shop Pro and a few other things for three hours straight. Been jumping in and out FS, chaning A/C - in short, abusing it a lot. It never crashed. Then I went to test the panel and after 15 minutes into the flight - boom! …

Does anyone know if the the passenger entry/exit door on the FS 2004 Cessna Caravan open? (It looks like it should)Using the Shift/E = keyboard number 1, 2, 3, etc. as per FS manual. I can get the pilots door open and the baggage doors open but not the passenger door. My Px are complaining about having to board the Caravan by means of a ladder or a fork lift.Incidently, here is URL of a huge site about the Caravan. Hi All,I want to see that great water detail in FS9, but am having a problem. I have a GeForce 4 MX420 graphics card with the 45.23 drivers. Whenver I set the terrain detail to land and the water detail to high and exit the display settings, it doesn't change the appearance of scenery and when I go back to display settings it's reversed my changes. How can I fix this?MarcMarc Gibson

Just installed the CPT SIM 727 and now when I start MS2004 I get an error saying "scenery.cfg error (scenerydb/mig21/scenery) in scenery area.042 not found".Any ideas what this is? I did not install the MIG plane and have no add on scenery installed at all.(I posted this in the proper forum and that place is as dead as can be)See you in the fence...CYYZ

Thinking of getting a payware prop airliner. I bought some of the fsgenesis scenery and prolly need something that flies lower and slower than the big heavy stuff I usually use. I saw something a while back about a dash 8 I think. Anyone have some recommendations? Thx!billg

During a trip MDW-JAN-HOU-ELP this afternoon, I dicovered a major discrep in FS9. Head for Jackson Mississippi.I received the 34L approach/JAN transition. ILS 109.3/335 degrees. As the airport comes into view on short final, you'll discover you are lined up perfectly with taxiway alpha. Not 34L. Good thing it was a visual day. This could have been very interesting on a gooey day.For what it's worth I was using the PMDG 737-700, all the bells and whistles working just fine.Another simmer shared that Charleston's 28 is the same as well.Fly safe!

I would like to know what ratio of people are having framerate problems with FS2k4 after doing the following:1. Turn off AA in your video card settings.2. Turn off AA in FS2k43. Use FSW's (Chis Willis) Clouds update and recomendatons.If your using anything lower than a 2gig processor say so because the above may not help then... Here, 9999 is unrestricted, and the simulator sets visivilityto a little below 10 statute miles on sunny days. This happens when you obtainreal weather from airports across europe. G'day all.About a month ago I bought FS9 and ran it no problems on my Win98, AMD2000+ system with 512RAM and a GeForce2 card.Then I formatted my hard disk and upgraded to WinXP. After updating myBIOSVid DriversM/B driverSound DriverNetwork driverWindows upgrade packsAnd re-installing FS9, it has run like a mule. (A slow, stubborn Mule rather than a graceful cooperative Mule). The menu screens take roughly 20 seconds to load as I switch between eg Create a Flight and Saved Flights and the FPS during flight itself is very low.All my other games are running no problems but this is doing my head in. I was wondering if there was a way to use fs2004 with out using the 4th cd so if anyone knows how to fix this it would help me out greatly.

Hi,I would like to post about this display problem I have with FS2004. I think is there since I installed it, but I'm not sure. The question is, I'm getting dark borders around the clouds. Not the nearby, but the farthest ones. I've tested with different times of the day and seasons, I've tested with the FPS and FIX patch from FSW. I've tested with different drivers, disabled FSUIPC, changed driver parameters, but no avail. I don't know what else to do.The problem dissapears and the clouds render beautifully as soon as I hit the SLEW key. Weird as it may sound, I disable SLEW and the borders come again. Greetings AllI'm fairly new to IFR flight and am learning a lot as I go. Yesterday I tried a long distance flight using the POSKY 767. My filed altitude was FL390. Autopilot managed the climb out until about FL360 when the speed starts dropping off, the nose comes up and the plane stalls. Tried the same route in the default 777 and had a similar problem at about FL370. Took it out of AP and coaxed the beast up to 390 where I was able to maintain S&L.It occurred to me, being a regular long distance pax, that most flight plans file an initial altitude lower than the final, e.g. starts at FL350 and during the course of the flight work their way up to higher altitudes as …

Hi Everyone:Just doing a comparison, I have always purchased Microsoft's latest Flight simulators.This is the first time since the early 80's that I have not purchased the newest flightsim (2004).The reason I have not is from reading the post appears to be issues with installing add on and problems with video cards.Not being a puter wiz thought I would remain with Fs2002 which is working great, with Radar contact, FSD GA FsMeteo ,Active Sky and PSS aircraft.Am I in the minority and are my concerns valid.Thanking all who reply:)Kenny G.

A great article on home cockpits is in todays Circuits Section and all of the master builders are mentioned...of course FS9 got some great airplay as well...try to get a copy, it makes for great reading.

I know some have stayed away from Chuck Dome's creations, as they are simple "no frills" aircraft. Still, he does a great job of designing aircraft that seldom receive attention in MSFS.Over at Flightsim.com, he's made available an Adam A700 (which has just begun flight testing in real life). For those who don't know about the A700, it's in the same league as new light jets being introduced by Cessna (the Mustang) and Eclipse (the 500). The first on is about Bill Melichar's Trinidad International Airport (trinv2.zip) With this scenery is there supposed to be any flatten or exclude commands to be added? I am seing the default taxiways around runway 10. And every AFCAD I tried for this scenery has planes parking in a grassy area between the terminal and the 2 hangers off runway 10, so Im guessing that the grassy area is not supposed to be there.The second scenery is Zurich by Richard Mohler (zurich.zip) I put the scenery folder in the FS folder with my other airport scenery files, started FS and went to settings then added the scenery, but when I went to Zurich the scenery was not there.
