To go with (just released) FIDG's MD-83 panel v1.0 (Finnish Designer Group).I installed FFX's DC-9 (FS2002 Aircraft-Douglas DC9-51 Delta 70'sAircraft by Stewart Global and Flight FX ) but it is apparently not compatible with FS2004 (the sim "freezes" upon loading the aircaft).Any suggestions for a nice GMAX McDonell bird that would work in FS2004 ?

    1. Using the Garmin GPS 500, you can obtain time enroute to the next waypoint but is there a way to (easily) obtain remaining time enroute to the destination airport? 2. Looking in the Learning Center, I could not locate any information re: which colors represent the different types of airspace depicted in the GPS. I believe that dark blue represents Class B but what about the other colors? Thanks for any info.Bob

I did a couple of searches, checked the sticky threads at the top of the forum and could still not find an answer for my question. How can I remove windsocks that are right in the middle of the runway? At IKV, there are actually 2. It really kills the realism to bring in the Lear and see those things just sitting right in your way. Not to mention that you have to turn off collisions, or they will promptly end your flight. I have kind of been out of the flightsim loop for a while, so if this problem has already been addressed and fixed, I apologize, but would like a link. Thank you.Craig

IN FS9, there is a 5th runway depictedatMemphis- rwy 35, but it is located where taxiwayM is on the charts. I cannot find any reference tothis on Airnav or through the FAA (though my search has been basic at best)Also I know that the runway extension at MHT has opened- SWA needs that 2000 feet for their LAS service :) but it is not updated on the NACO site yet. Can't wait for Lee's AFCAD 2! Another difference (I won't call this an error as it is a change since MS's data) PVD has closed 5L/23R permanently and renamed it Taxiway V- it's mostly used for RON parking anyhow.Tim

Just a quick heads up for anyone out there wondering where our forums went. We're bringing a new server online in the next couple of days to host www.ifdg.net so it'll be down in the meantime. You can use www.md11.net instead to reach our forums. Thanks!

The propeller control on the 2002 and 2004 instrument panels (C-182 in this case) does not move full forward when the Flight Sim Yoke lever is moved full forward. The other controls throttle and mixture work properly. How do I get the control to move full in? Keyboard keys Ctrl/F4 works properly and moves the propeller control to the full in position. However as soon as I move the Flight Sim prop control lever the control on the instrument panel pops out to an intermediate position. I noticed this discrpency when the C-182 would not climb and I assume it is due to the propeller not being in the climb position. The Mooney exhibits the same problem.I have FSUIPC but c…

Is this site down again for good? I know it went down when the domain name expired or something, then they moved it to a different domain, but now that is down as well. What other sites offer prefered routing? I use fltplan.com which is a great site, but that is down at the moment as well, LOL.Thanks!

Can we start a thread with "initial" tweaking that should be done to FS 2004 following an initial / reinstall (ie. the cfg file, etc)That would be great =)I looked in the tips/tweak section, and there isn't really a thread for initial tweaking.

Just finished flying in the "Washington Squared " Event - flying from KIAD to KSEA with ATC (nearly) all the way- the only gap was about an hour in the center where none was available. For the flight I used FS9/WinXP/FSUIPC/SBox/SBRelay/Servinfo/AVC Beta for voice comms/AOL Broadband Internet connection.Aircraft was a C-5A Galaxy imported from FS2002I am very pleased to report that FS9 and all the other software performed beautifully with two small exceptions. The first was a Squawkbox issue- suffered a disconnection from server about 5 hr into the flight but immediately reconnected with no problem. The other was ,I believe ,a RogerWilco problem at the conttrollers end,KSEA…

I read that I can make a seperate directory (f:earthdata) and install FSGenesis to that. Well I did that for all of the sceneries. So I installed all of them to the same directory. Now I went into the scenery library, pointed to that scenery directory that all of them were installed to. I also manually added a Textures directory. Is this the correct way to do this?My directory layout is like thisF:EarthDataFSGFSG38sceneryF:EarthDataFSGFSG38FSGDocs

I installed ZoneAlarm due to the rash of nasty people trying to destroy the integrity of the Internet, and perhaps my system. I have had it in place for about a week with no issues. I run it on high security settings. No problems with a wide variety of sites. Also have a 3 PC LAN.Today I was going to download a file from the Library for the first time since installing the firewall. I immediately received a warning as follows:I then could not get beyond the advert page for Real Scene and the probes continued at about 45 second intervals. Each one was targeted at a different port in the 45xx range.I next tried to post this message but the probes continued with the alarm int…

Peter Dowson is a magician. I know he says that FSUIPC does not affect FS2004 in many ways, but after installing his new version of FSUIPC I am now able to use the Alt Enter keys to get into windowed mode and minimize, and am now able to go back to full window mode without getting the black screen. Thank you Peter for your great work.I have also increased my frame rates without doing anything other than install the new FSUIPC.dll in my modules folder. Go figure.
