Hi all I have just updated my computer for MS9 with an athalon 2.6 chip and a new Asus A7V8X-MX motherboard and a new Geforce5200fx 128 vid card problem is I cant see the 2d panel, if I go to the virtual panel it displays ok but no 2d panel just a black panel. I checked this problem in the known vidio issues which says it is a driver problem but I have tried the following Nvidia drivers with no success, 41-09 43-45 44-03 45-23 plus the driver that came with the card am I useing the wrong drivers, ie is there a geforcefx driver other than Nvidia as if I try to use an old nvidia driver like the 29-42 it says it can not find a Nvidia card on my system could anyone please h…

Hi,the strangest thing happened when I landed at KBOS after a long transatlantic flight from Frankfurt yesterday. I was parked at the gate, doors on the A340 opened and in spot view watching the passengers disembark. :)Suddenly, the whole screen shook twice in a few seconds time and I could see the wings on the bus move up and down, just like they do upon landing. The plane was properly shut down, with parking brake engaged. It was not just the plane, the part of the airport terminal that was in my FOV shook as well. Has anyone found a fix for the ProjectSkyworks 717? I tried for about 2 hours today trying to get lights, and all to work- but no success. Would someone please tell me how to start the engines of the 727 using Richard Probst's v4 727 panel. I've looked everywhere in the documentation and there isn't a hint. In the v3 panel, which I still have in FS2002, it says to use "the second overhead panel". Problem is, there is no 2nd overhead panel in v4.... There are no start switches anywhere to be seen. You can't use the "E" key either. That doesn't work. Any help would be appreciated.Want to be flying Mike Stone's gMax 727 in Continental colors out of Guam. Using the FS2002 scenery by Bill Melchar. Hello all,OK, I bit the bullet and went to XP, FS runs fine and faster and lets me use my 1gig ram, however, I ran 3 monitors in 98SE, main GeForce Ti46oo, and two accesories ATI Rage II 64.That worked fine in 98SE but XP won't let my ATI cards work, says something about a: Code 10 error, and I don't have a clue.Please help, I'm without half my instruments and my FSNav . . and going through withdrawal.Thanks in advance,Clayton T. I see that ATI has posted 3.7 drivers on their site. I have the 3.6 version on my ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128 card. Will these new ones do anything for MSFS2004? Should I keep the ones I have until something else comes out? I haven't heard any discussion of these drivers. Perhaps I missed it. Stan

Those of you who know a thing or two about scenery files in FS, can you please give your input on this?As you may know, I have been inverstigating the stutters that some people experience after flying for some time, especially on approach. Do a search on the forum to see what I'm talking about.Basically, FPS wil begin to drop on approach or after flying for a while. Toggling AI, or Autogen density to None, then back to whatever setting you used before, removes the stutters for a while. Turning autogen off altogether also seems to almost stop this from happening.I found a workaround some weeks ago - by deleting the default.xml file in FS9Autogen, the stutters mysteriously …

Hi,I replaced my GeForce 4200 64 MB by an ATI RADEON 9800 PRO with 128 MB. Unfortunately I can't see any improvement neither in performance nor in quality (2D cockpit or spot view). Can anybody tell me the best settings for fs9?PS. I've remove any registry entry relating to "nvidia" or "GeForce".Tom.

The model cannot be downloaded from thier site for now. Is there any other place that has the base model? I downloaded textures from Avsim along with the base paint, but I need the model to put them on.Thanks.Tim13

I have a small problem in that I cant get files I want to download to go where I want them too. All of a sudden they go to a "temporary" file and winzip opens automatically for me. Before I could choose where to put the zip and use it when i want. Kind of strange I dont recall doing anything to make it change. Anyone have any ideas?? Was just downloading some aircraft/repaints and noticed this. Its not a big deal but its not how I would like to do it.Hornit

I'm trying out a Geforce 5900 Ultra and I'm getting much more shimmering than I was with an ATI 9800 Pro. I've tried lowering the mipmap but that dosn't seem to help too much. Are there any other settings I can try? Thx!Billg

I HAVE BEEN LOOKING AT PICS OF THE MEGA SCENERY SOFTWARE, AND I AM INTEREDTED IN BUYING ESPECIALLY THE UPCOMING NY AREA, BUT I NOTICE IN THE SHOTS THAT THERE IS NO AUTOGEN SCENERY IN ANY OF THE SHOTS. SO MY QUESTION IS IS AUTOGEN SCENER JUST NOT THERE OR IS IT REDUCED BY MEGASCENERY??

Hi Dont know what is causeing this, Once on route and once on decent. I noticed that the engines had gone into the red,trying to compensate for the lack of speed, which was 0. I was using downloaded real weather, i have set FSUIPC as per the instructions but it is still happening. To correct it i had to select the same aircraft from the menu and all was ok. If any one can help i would be gratefull. Regards Shaun

For some of you this wont have any impact at all. For others, well hopefully you will be as pleased as I was. I have an Athlon 2200+ XP system with 1 gig of ram and an ATI 9700 Pro. Certainly not High End, but I should be getting more than 10 FPS that I was. I replaced my CHEAP sound card (hercules MUSE 5.1) with an Audigy 2. WHOA 23 or 25 FPS and the lowest in high density areas with clouds is about 13 or 14. My only thought on this is that the Muse card must have been using the CPU to process sound. In addition, FS9 must be processing sound very differently than FS2002. I still get the same frame rates in 2002 as I did before. One way to test this is to simpl…
