I've read posts on this forum that we should all wait for the 3.8 Drivers from ATI and that the 3.7's are NO real improvement over the 3.6's. I'm telling you that I downloaded the 3.7's today (over 20 megs) and replaced my 3.6 drivers. I have a Radeon 9800Pro 128 board, and even though I was getting good frames with the 3.6 drivers, the frames are BETTER and definitely more CONSISTENT with the 3.7's. I'm sure the 3.8's will be good, but the new ones (3.7's)are very, very good. Don't underestimate these drivers, and if you've been hesitating....I wouldn't. If so, please post.For me, it was the discovery that with aircraft shadows on, not only could I see my plane's shadow, but also the shadows of other online aircraft when flying on the vatsim network. and have decided to bin fs2004...i really do not know what else i can do,nothing works,the one tweak that gave a slight improvement was the autogen tweak.but you know what:i'm done tweaking,i'm going to fly,cos thats why i bought those sims after all.and,to silence the bashers beforehand:i am convinced it is my computer,and not the game,that is playing havoc with fs2004...and for the life of me,i don't understand what the h*** is wrong with it,because i run fs2002 with every slider maxed,except ai,that is off,and i get 20fps everywhere...in fs2004 however,even with every slider to the left,and every switch off,i get a measly 8 fps,with 10 second pauses every ten seconds..…

I found out from FAQ how to make the panel guages more crips, but is there any way one can improve the textures of the VCs? They're quite blurry!

Downloaded it (real cool looking) but it is not very stable (bounces all over the place) just curious to see if any of the gurus out there have tweaked it..If not I'll just fly Kirk's AWESOME new F-16!!Thanks in advance!!JC

Hi ALl Just remembered about this. On the weekend I installed a couple of extra planes, After installing one of them all the text on the main FS2002 screen, (select a flight, create flight, settings etc), has turned pink as oppposed to the pale blue that it used to be. I know this is not earth shattering stuff, but we are creatures of habit. I'd like to change it back if possible.Wycliffe

Having just re-installed FS9 I notice that the Windows Registry has loads of stuff in it which isn't needed. I would appreciate advice on a reliable XP Home registry cleaner and links to where one can be downloaded. In view of the damage which such a piece of software could do something with personal recommendation would be nice.Thanks.David

I've asked this question before, but really didn't get an answer that helped. I'm having difficulty with flight planning. When I auto generate a flightplan from Toronto to London/Paris/Frankfurt/ almost anywhere in Europe, my flightplanner (high altitude route)sends me over the Northpole (via Alaska) before sending me on to Europe. Is anyone else having this problem? I installed FS9 according to the default instructions and don't have any 3rd party software working with it. Other than using 3rd party flightplanners, is there anything that I can do to fix this problem? Is anyone else having this problem?Please help!!!Tapa340

When I play FS 2002, during the game, the taskbar display a caution sign and said virtual memory low. Because the game suddenly slow down and even when I change views, it tooks several minutes. (I have attempted to post a similar message on the PSS forum but I haven't got past the moderator.)There a number of posts on the PSS forum regarding long and diffucult downloads of the A330/340 package but no comment from the developers. I would like to buy the A330/340 package but only have a dial-up 56K modem. Has anyone been able to successfully download and install the either the PSS A330 or A340 using a dial up 56K modem and, if so, how long did it take?As an alternative, I could use broadband on another PC and transfer the files via CDROM to my PC but I don't know if it would then be possible to correctly install the PSS A330/340 on my PC. Grateful for any advice…

How come I can not turn on auto pilot for LOC/GS holding for Approach?I press the LOC button and/or the APPR nothing happens the LOC is set is active but the autopilot won't hold to ILS only on the other menu (PFD) displays Speed|ALT|HDG| it should say LOC below heading but nothing ever changes these are displayed on PFD where the info for LOC shows to be.Also when holding ALT I can not seem to disable the HDG hold does the |use no defoult bank| apply to PSS airbuses as in if AP enabled you can not turn is it like that for real if so I will just leave it alone, but I cannot get the autopilot to hold to the approach any sugestions are welcome?Thanks

After porting over my favourite aircraft, panels and sounds from FS2002 to FS9 and only after removing FS2002 from my drive ( x( ) I noticed I had forgot to copy over one particular gauge file for an Il-18 panel I once downloaded. I believe the panel in question is located on www.avsim.ru, but although I tried it several times per day over the past week I cannot seem to access that site.Sadly, I cannot even remember the authors of this panel, but if any of you should have the file "STT_IL18_V1_1" (could be either a GAU or a CAB file, or indeed both) in your Gauges folder, could you please email it to me?Thank you very much! :D

What is the best payware scenery for the following airports, Heathrow, Manchester, Gatwick, Frankfurt, Schiphol, Zurich, Kastrup, Oslo, and Rome. The only payware scenery I have so far is Tampa (FlyTampa) so I don't know much about the other payware developers.

IN FS2002 my CH pedals work great, but in FS2004 with the same settings they are frustrating to say the least.Anyone solve this issue?

Okay,Forever now both in FS2002 and 04 I cannot seem to land the 767's without the plan sinking into the ground and crashing, either the nose wheel first or one of the mains. I have been flying on FS for over 4 years, and have almost 1000 hours of flying in this sim and I am tired of this enough now to post about it. I thought it may be just me, but Ive seen mention of this before and I have varied flap and approach speed settings numerous times, along with being agitated at the extremely high angle of attack this IFDG flies at on approach.Please offer some insight,Eric

Hi,I'm not sure if anyone can help (or experiencing this themselves) but I've noticed that I don't get any rain when I use the really weather (static and dynamic) in FS. If I use the standard default weather and set it to gray and raining, I can get rain, but only that way. Is there anything I can do? Has anyone else noticed this?Tapa340
