Dear All,I understand that the default setting to open doors in FS2004 is ####+E or Shift+E+2 (for models that has more than one door). My problem is: that combination sometimes work (e.g. for An-124), but other times, it doesn't. E.G. I can open the front cargo door on that plane, but when I want to close it by pressing Shift+E+2 I see the message saying "Main Exit Open" or Main Exit Closing. I have tried different speed in pressing the keys, again sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't;. Can I just assign other key combinations to replace Shift+E+2?Look forward for your kind reply.japangg

Talk about excitement. A few moments ago I looked out my west facing living room window and there was Concorde at about 3000 ft, gear down, on final for CYYZ Rwy 23. It's her last trip to Toronto, Canada and what a lovely site she was.Bye for ever. I wonder what will replace her.bf

Hi allI'm new here so hello to everyone. My problem is this - FS2002 won't see my joystick (original MS Force Feedback)anymore. It used to but had some problems I was trouble shooting late one night and I think I may have deleted something I shouldn't have. The computer can see the joystick and so can CFS and other games. Fs2002 will see and old stick I have but not the Feedback one. Have reinstalled FS2002 and directx is up to date. Has anyone any ideas.CheersCBT.

I'm struggling with the Instrument Checkride in FS2004. I have disabled the autorudder feature since I have rudderpedals. But I'm asking myself if there is any point in this.Do I really get more realism? Since it's the checkride I fly the standard Cessna although it has been upgraded with patch that give it a new heading indicator (with VOR needle). But still is not the rudder steering very unrealistic in the standard Cessna? Does this not make the plane more difficult to steer in a unrealistic manner? Fact is it's very difficult to control and adjust heading. I fail even if I go slightly to left or right even close to the VOR station.

Hi all..I was doing my vatsim flight from Munich to Amsterdam and despite the real weather option gave me a grey and rainy weather in Munich I was able to get fps's 13-16 (Locked 20). After I climbed above the clouds I got my "normals" between 17 and 20. All was going well until I reached the Dutch area... my frames suddenly dropped to 1.0 and stayed between 1.0 and 1.9 for 15 minutes which resulted me shutting down the sim. I had only the normal programmes (SBRelay, SB and ServInfo running). OK, I have experienced drops in frames sometimes even to, say, 5 - 10 in high detail airports, but this was sth special... There was some clouds, but nothing different from my previ…

I am thinking about getting those ED Glasses that let you play the sim in 3D. I have been making Anaglyph images (Anaglyph is where you ware the re/cyan glasses) to make 3D Images. needless to say it is cool. So, my question is this. Does the ED Glasses Really produce the depth that my anaglyph images produced? If you have these and use them please tell me how you like them, I just don't want to waist my money.

Hi all tweak experts! It seems that AA taxes heavily FS9s performance. On the other hand when I disable AA there is a considerable 'shimmering' of 3D textures. so what is the best middle ground? any way to circumvent the use of AA without a significant compromise of visual quality. As a matter of fact AA was never an issue with FS2002, I never got the buildings shimmering in that sim with or without AA. Why is the case different in FS9?Your input is much appreciated.//Mike

Hi,What is the closest to the real thing you can get in FS9 when it comes to jet A/C's? Have been flying the MelJet 777 for a while but I miss working taxilights visible from the cockpit, a working and realistic FMC and a couple of other things that decreases the overall realistic feeling and joy of flying.Found the PMDG 737NG over at http://www.precisionmanuals.com which I found very interesting but maybe there are better and even more realistic alternatives out there when it comes both to realism and realistic and great looking graphics. Some things that I really like are realistic cockpit, cabin and wing-views and I also find the sound both inside and outside the A/C v…

Hi EveryoneFinally broke down and installed FS2004 although reading some of these threads I did have some concerns.Appears everything went as planned no video or driver problems that I am aware of.I have the registered version of FSUIPC and also using active sky version 1.91.These are the only two add ons so far which I have completed.I run the program in full screen mode, and have noticed that every four or five min. while running with the above program that the screen will flash for a split second then return to its original state.Has anyone else had this same problem and if so is there a fix.It happens so fast that if you are not watching your screen you may miss the i…

Hi all, just in case PSS doesnt release my message in there moderated forum, I post what I wrote here as well. I'd like every one to know what I feel about them with reason. I see there flightdynamics are poor and not well tested. Even the Airbus 330 from POSKY flys better and more stable. What do you think and experienced? I dont wanna see any flaming and alike. So, please do not use bad words or unplaced behavbiour.#################################Hello PSSplease address this issue about the defect flightdynamics.Your Loader loads the planes just at ONE station, what is realy very un-realistic. ACLoader 4.x and higher versions load much more realistic as can be within FS …

After doing an approach to Beirut's runway 17 using an Air France 747-400, I realized that the PAPI isn't accurate. Here's why.The four screenshots below were taken the same time when I had the flight paused. As you can see, I took these shots at different angles. As you move up and down, the PAPI changes.Take a look for yourself. At this angle, it tells me I'm perfect:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/40032.jpgHere it tells me I'm a little high:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/40033.jpgHere it tells me I'm too high:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/40034.jpgHere it tells me I'm too low:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/40035.jpgWhen I was in the cockpit however, the PA…
