Flying online (great place for an engine failure!) I experienced a left engine fail tonight. I have no clue why it failed. I started cold and dark from the downloadable saved C+D pure flights. Departed etc, like normal. Carried a decreased fuel load with 20% (set in P3D) in the tips. Here's a pic shortly after I got it restarted. Everything looks ok. Oil temps just slightly below the redline if you look straight on. Maybe that was a problem though? Are there any failures modeled in this aircraft? Also during previous sessions I've had my engines just quit because the tip tanks get depleted. Has anyone else seen this? Thankfully I used the air start and got …

Hello guys, it's been more then one week , that i am trying to reinstall the Aerosim 787 but with no success and with error 1628 , i've tried every thing that i could make I have Windows 8.1 64bit Here is the story from the beginning to the error , "first , when i was about to do flight on Aerosim 787 from dubai to doha with qatar airways , but when i loaded the aircraft , the Avionics wasn't working at all , so , i thought reinstalling the aircraft so it can solve the problem , but when i run the installer , and it starts to enter "Preparing for install" stage , than this error first came : InstallDriver Module has stopped working More details Problem…

So I use their app on my ipad, it's called FlightGo...I think. Anyways, they have a feature in the app which allows you to connect to FSX so you'll see your Airplane moving across the Sections (for example) in their App.. I don't know how to get it too work though, I press connect but it doesn't connect. Does anyone know how to use this feature?

Does anyone have Orientalsim's Baghdad installed into FSX? What I pickle I have created. I was having a hard time deciding what scenery to go with for my FSX SE. ORBX Global/Vector or UTX Canada. So I went with UTX. After buying, downloading, and installing I discovered that it is not FSX SE compatible. So upon attempting to uninstall an error message comes up stating it cannot run because it cannot write FSX.GFG . This same message comes up when trying to uninstall UTX, installing FSX SE, or running FSX SE. I am now facing a restore, format, or a new computer. Help! please Moe

The crj_700_gauge_fixes.zip file (in the AVSIM library) by Alexander Barthel is really a great improvement to the default CRJ-700. The one problem I've noticed with this fix is the TAS readout on the MFD is wrong -- often reads less than the IAS or ground speed even in a no wind situation. Does anyone happen to know of a TAS fix for this particular CRJ-700 fix? Thx, Al

I need to look at replacing my Carenedo Phenom 100, due to it not having the range I require. Basically my longest flight is 1,300 nm which the phenom can't do without a fuel stop. I really like the plushness of the Phenom with its leather seats inc the pilots ones and its actually a nice plane to fly with cool looking instruments. I have had a look what's currently about in the Bizjet market and can't find anything as plush. I see Carenedo will soon launch the Phenom 300 so I will wait for this unless there maybe something else out there to fit my requirements?

Something has gone weird on my rig. Somehow my FSX has decided that ships are for AI traffic and I'm seeing them floating (with those red AI labels...which is funny.) Any ideas?

After having the opportunity to view a real C337 I have gotten interested in this plane. I think I have read somewhere that this plane is Carenados best product. Are there some truth in that ? If so in what way is it better than their other planes ? I have their C208 Grand Caravan. How does the C377 compare to that plane ? One thing that have made me prefer A2A offerings over Carenados is damage simulation. In A2A planes you can overheat the engines. In the Carenado C208 you can run the engine at max power without consequences (as far as I have noticed). The same thing for Aerosoft Beaver X. Hi All, Is there an ATC add on that will stop the issue where I get assigned a Visual Approach when I am doing an IFR flight? Does VOXATC do this? I only fly using IFR and ATC Vectored Approaches as that's what I enjoy, but I know there are programs out there that can enhance this further for me.

I just recently purchased Mega Earth Italy. I'm looking for some good pay-ware airports to go with it. I would prefer the larger airports, but the smaller airports would be good too. Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks

hello guys, i have PROATCX and pfpx, i wanted to do a flight from egcc to egkk. i got a route from pfpx and deleted the star and sid from it as i wanted the atc from pro atc to give mr one automatically. however, i have to even put a sid and s atr into a flightplan in pro atc , i want them to assign me one automatically. dosent that defeat the objective of atc as im doing it myself. i keep getting error sid transition failure aborting. is ther a way to fix this? many thanks.

Hi, I know this is an old topic and I've searched everywhere for a solution but haven't found one yet so I thought I'd ask anyway in the hope that someone out there that reads this has worked one out. The auto brakes on my Aerosoft Airbus X A320 and A321 disconnect every time I land. I've tried low and medium and tried bringing the throttles to idle at a variety of hieghts i.e. 20', 30'. 40' and 50' just before landing but the deacceleration green light pops on for a second then both lights go out and I have to brake manually. I've also tried using reverse thrust and not using reverse thrust. I can't believe there isn't a solution to this very insignificant but an…

I've got a strange problem I was hoping someone else has seen. I'm using WoIA and other freeware traffic and schedules along with Flightbeam KSFO and Imaginesim KSJC. All of a sudden I have absolutely no AI traffic at either KSFO or KSJC. I've verified the AFCADS and even reinstalled the airports but still no AI traffic. The only thing I can think of is that I uninstalled ORBX Northern Cal, but that shouldn't affect the AFCADS right? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Mike T.

I just reformatted Windows 7 on my C drive (SSD) and am trying to install fsx Gold Edition on my F drive (SSD). I insert disc 1, click Rundvdcheck.exe and installshield wizard does its thing. I choose More Options on the fsx setup thing, then Browse and choose my path to F Drive(F:)/FSX . FSX is the folder I created in my F drive. Then click Install. The install wizard then begins removing applications. Then as fsx starts installing it stops with an error message: Error 1310.Error writing to file: F:\FSX\Scenery\NAMC\texture\SaltLake_American_Towers_Im.dds. Verify that you have access to that directory. I click retry but it will not continue with installation…

To start off, I'm rather computer-challenged. I've downloaded 'skins' from Southwest and Delta. They appear in my FSX folder but I don't know how to get them where they need to be so I can add them to my stale FSX airline collection. Can anyone help? I've also tried to download a GPWS to add on to my FSX but have not had any luck. Thanks in advance.

No this was not a rude word! It is an annoying sound I have been getting from FSX on my new PC - but get this it is also on X-Plane too!!! It happens about every minute and sounds just like this fssssst with a sort of click at the end. I have thought what sound effect it could be, but as it happens in X-Plane too I don't see how it can be a real effect. It doesn't happen when I am not playing either sim. So it seems to be connected to either running a hi-res app/game or something caused by playing sound. I am putting up with it for now, but it will get increasingly annoying as time goes on and I don't know why it's happening. Can you help me? Thanks Nigel

Hello All-the engines' sound is very loud inside the Learjet virtual cockpit, or it could be some other sound which emulates the engines. In P3Dv2 I turn down all of the settings sound control to zero, but the loud engine noise persists in the Lear. The sound is not present when I change to exterior views, only in the virtual cockpit. This is the only aircraft with this problem. Anyone else had this issue? Perhaps I should uninstall and reinstall. Any advice? Thanks.

Hello all. I don't know whether anyone else has noticed this but I used to find that there was a frame rate and smoothness improvement with FSX-SE but it seems that all the updates that keep being applied to Steam just detract from FSX-SE's performance. Maybe it is my imagination but I can't, at present, see any reason to stay with SE, so I am considering going back to FSX Boxed. Iain Smith
