I was curious - I am aware of how to set up multiple monitors, etc but I was wondering if there is a way to use two computers connected via a lan and have FS running on one and FSNAV, etc on another?Thanx,Vic

I have enjoyed very good overall performance with my system using complex sceneries and aircraft such as PMDG. My frame rates were always in high tens at least. No stutters.I attempted to plug in my other monitor and that was the point when the hell broke loose. It was like a pandora's box. It hang my computer, so I was unable to reboot it. Eventually I got into the safe mode, reinstalled my drivers and directX. Performace dropped tremendously. Then I reinstalled my WinXP Pro system (over the existing one not to loose my complicated settings) and defragmented after that. Still bad. I have even erased FS9.cfg and rebuilt it by starting the FS again, but no luck.I am gettin…

Hi, Just wondering if any of you folks have downloaded, from AVSIM, and installed "realtime.zip" in FS2004, and if you have had any luck with it?Half way through the installation process I got this message: "PLEASE NOTE: the scenery is not yet compatible with FS2004." At this point, I aborted the installation--not quite certain if it would be alright. From the write-up, it sounds like a great add-on for FS. Would like to try it, but I thought I would wait until I heard back from one of you folks.Thanks.RevEv

Recently I downloaded Olson's Viper F-16 and installed as per the instructions.1. Unziped/with folder2. Moved the VIPER folder to the Aircrafts folder within FSim9.3. Copied the effects files and the Gauge files respectively..Then I went into FSim... But I can't see that on my selection list.I have installed many aircrafts..this has never happened.What could I be doing wrong...

Hi everyone,I think I saw somewhere that add-on AI planes are best for framerates than the default AI counterparts.My question is: How can I replace the default models for new models that are not as hard on the framerates?Please note that I do not have any experience in AI traffic modifications. I'm having an ongoing problem with multi-engine aircraft in FS2004. I've searched the archives and haven't found a reference. Please let me know if it is a known problem or if I am doing something stupid.Everything starts up fine. I can select engine 1 or engine 2 or both by hitting "E" followed by the engine number. However, as soon as I switch views to the virtual cockpit I lose the ability to select anything other than engine 1. "E-2" doesn't go to engine 2 as it did before.I can use the engine panel fine but would prefer to use my real throttle. Is there a step I'm missing? Known bug?It seems to be such a glaring problem to go unnoticed so I am thinking I just do…

Hi I have a dual throttle setup (eg 737,767), with the two reverse-thrust leavers on the top...these levers swing back against two buttons.I cannot work out how to get the leavers to be independent and act on each engine.does anyone know if it is possible to assign two different buttons to the indepedent reverse-thrust leavers?...If so, could you please let me know how to do it.regardsd

You won't have missed it - over 400 downloads so far in about ten minutes says so! - but this is just to endorse Eric Thornton's astonishingly good FS Video (playable outside FS) of a Kai Tak R13 arrival in a classic liveried 744.I have done that landing many, many times in real life (and fluffed it many, many times in flightsim) and I can tell you that, as Eric says, this is as close as you will get to experiencing it now. I am in the process of going from a crappy 64 MB video card to something else. I want at least 128 MB. What is the difference between GE Force and Radeon?? I have seen 256 MB Ge Force 5600 FX for about the same ($125)as 128 MB Ultra Ge Force 5600 FX. What are some good ones within the price range? Is there a reason why one has more MB's and is about the same price as the one with less? Any input would be great@!

I have NO idea if it works through other "media players". I obtained through the new www.apple.com's Itune's software for MP3s. They have a huge list of free radio stations of ALL kinds, no direct URL's but many are connected through other .com's I found on google.com. This one worked well at any rate. Hi everyone! I hope I'm not boring you with the little problem I have w/ the Hapag Lloyd 737-800 model by FFX/SGA (the one with the winglets). The model itself is just superb, however as soon as I'm in the cockpit and look out back/left and back/right, the fans wouldn't move, even though they do as soon as I look at the plane from the tower and spot plane views. Why?? I bet it's something banal that I didn't think of. Still thanks for any help, for I hate looking out the window and see the fans not moving.. >:[ I would've asked FFX directly, but they seem to be somewhat unavailable right now :) CF

Hi,did anybody experienced a similar problem? Everytime I'm closing FS2004 my whole OS (Win XP Prof) is shutting down. Actually its not really shutting down its more like reseting. I just recently got a new joystick the cyborg evo, its a good stick no problems at all with it. But I've been flying by keyboard...So the transition to stick is a bit interesting to say the least what I cant seem to do is figure out the best way to trim to S&L in a reasonable period of time without chasing the VSI like a mad rabbit.I can trim via keyboard fairly well but just the act of holding the stick at the center point and raising up trim till i can release the pressure on the stick is not happening fast.Any tips?

i slewed up my cessna to observe the PAI traffic and during like the first 2 mins a AA taxies away from the int, terminal. then after a min i look back and all of a sudden there is a UAL i think 767 in its place, i did not see it land or taxi. then i barley missed a continental land and i look to see it taxi to the gate and its no wher to be seen. then a UAL lands and im closely watching it and very shortly after ATC says turn next taxi(maybe 5 seconds after) the UAL disapeers. whats up with that? it happend at KORDadamYou cant truley understand flying until you have actually tasted and felt it.

I have two of three monitors set to 1280x1024/32 resolution for clarity.When I go to the Full Screen Mode, FS9 changes the resolution on the second monitor to some lesser setting. Of course in full screen mode, all access to options are gone and the only thing on the second screen is whatever was put there in windows mode, and there is no option (toolbars for FS9 or anything else)on the primary monitor.Is there any way to retain my original monitor setting for the second unit in full screen mode?Thanks:RTH

I have been just adjusting and complying any time my vertical crosshair was on the wrong side and the horizontal was dead. (Obviously backcourse) Just completed a flight from KIAD to KORD, landing ILS on Runway 9R.To my surprise, it turned out to be a backcourse approach. Guidance was perfect for localizer accuracy, reversed, and no glideslope.If I read the approach plate correctly, this should have been a frontcourse ILS approach including Glideslope capability.
