Anybody remember Matt Zagoren and his famous operating data for BOEING a/c ? I had some of it printed, but now I cannot find any of it and I cannot find his beautifully packaged data that was once posted on the web. Anybody know where it might be or how to get good BOEING ops data, especially for the 737 series?Appreciate posts, thanks!JS

The Coronado Bridge continues to be developed, but I also have a lot of ships to model to correctly represent the San Diego harbor. Here's the first - USS Long Beach (CGN-9). A long time resident of the city, and my first ship assignment when I was in the Navy.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/44151.jpgMight be ready in a few days...Robert

There have been a few posts about Oleksiy Frolov's Dash-8 indicating some confusion about how to take off. There are a few simple things you have to do to execute a successful take off. First of all, before you taxi, advance the prop controls to max (press Ctrl + F4). Next, before you take off, check the following:1. Make sure the pitch trim is in the T/O range, indicated by the white bar on the trim wheel, which is on the throttles.2. Turn auto feather on (main panel).3. Set your flaps to 5 4. Most important: unlock the throttles (the switch over the throttle levers).Failure to do any of these things will result in an alarm going off when you advance the throttle…

  8. I just installed the AeroDesigns A340-300 for FS2004 and it's a marvelous aircraft, however I have 2 major problems. This is what my cockpit looks like when I first start a flight:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/43705.jpgAs you can see, all the panel additions such as the pedestal are popped up. I have to close them all one by one everytime I want to fly the A340.You will also notice that the gauges are missing. Now I know this aircraft was designed for FS2002, but I heard it works for FS2004 without problems. It couldn't have been an installation error on my part since it's simply an installer that installs all the file components. In the installer, the only thing I did…

If both sims support GMAX or FSDS or whatever tool has been used for development, what exactly differentiates the difference between a FS2002 and a FS2004 file without any SDKs out yet? I guess what I am getting at is will the FS2004 aircraft and scenery in the library work in FS2002, or are they FS2004 only? I'm still on FS2002 after a fresh install and all the tweaks and still bogging down. Thanks,Chris

  10. I have a great looking third party a/c that has unrealistically low N1 in all phases of flight. I want to raise the N1 readings with all the implications I know this will have for fuel flow, etc. In one prior case, when I wished to change the N1 to a higher percentage, I was advised to change the engine inlet ratio and that worked great on that particular a/c; but in this case, changing the inlet area seems to have little to no effect. Is there any other factor within the aircraft.cfg file I should be looking at in this case?Appreciate any advice, thanks!JS

Well I'm still traveling on my arcoss the US tour and am currently at Yellowstone KWYS. During my last flight I U12 in Idaho and flew a VFR flight up to old faithful then over to Yellowstone. As luck would have it I flew over Old Faithful at about 5 mins to the hour and she was gushing then slowed to a clam and was done. My question is was I lucky to arrive there around the top of the hour or does she go off when you are close and then ends once you fly pass her?NP

I noticed on the FFG 737 that it has the logo and cabin lights on during the night. Is there any way to have this on other 737's or is this built into the model itself? The thing is that on the Ariane 737-800, they (stupidly) coupled the landing lights with the logo and cabin lights, and I was wondering if it is possible to change this?

  17. Hi Flightsimmers!I'm new to the forum and just thought I'd let you know about a report I've recently done. Seeing as Concorde is fast approaching retirement, I've written a "from the cockpit" report. It is about 6,500 words and has 65 screenshots, and I've tried to make it as detailed as possible. Hope you enjoy it, the address is:www.sleath.co.uk/concorde/speedbirdone.htm

When I look at its properties it is showing:Bus: AGP (PCI mode). My motherboard is definitaly 8x AGP compliant.I have looked at the BIOS settings for the motherboard but there is nowhere to select either 4x or 8x. I guess it does it automatically. Is AGP (PCI mode) normal?Best wishes,Darren

  19. I've been a fan of FSNav 4.6 so when FS Com. 7.0 was announced I downloaded and installed the trial version and the patch. It appeared to have several features I would like to see in FSNav such as control zones and descent charts. However, I ran into a problem. I drive two monitors off the LeadTek Ti4600. When I drag FSC 7.0 to the second monitor and bring up FS2004 on the first, all is OK until I go to full screen (with Alt+Enter) on the first (FS2004) monitor. From then on, FSC 7.0 is locked out. All the menus are greyed out and clicking or moving the cursor anywhere on the second monitor which displays the FSC 7.0 window accomplishes nothing. FS Nav happily d…

I own most products available for FS. Initially I thought that each new product brought me an extra step closer to reality in recreating the flights I have made in real life. Recently however I have realised that money spent on this pursuit is wasted money and better spent elsewhere because no matter how sophisticated add-ons become they will still never equal the thrill I get from a real flight. No matter how much money and time is spent upgrading computers and graphics cards and acquiring the latest software and hardware in the pursuit of recreating reality, the fact remains that flight simulators are just that-partial attempts at recreating reality.I am going to cut d…

Gentlemen,Firstly, if you downloaded the scenery yesterday or early this morning, you should re-download the scenery because I fixed some things and re-uploaded the scenery to avsim today. The new file is called vhhh2004b.zipSecondly, for those of you concerned about framerates, I tried my best to optimize the scenery for framerates. So far, the feedback seem to be positive. Finally, as to whether the scenery will work in FS2002, the answer is I don't know. Perhaps one of you could test out the scenery in FS2002 and let me know how it runs. Thanks,Thomas Kwong

Need some help here guys because I dont know why I can raise or lower the flaps on the 73. I tried the 777 which allows me to see the position change on the panel but noting visually outside confirms the flaps are going down or up. I check to make sure there is no system failure and have installed the 737 guage from XPreality but never have flown the boeings since I got the new sim. I also went and rechecked the settings and the key commands are still the same. The flaps work on both the cessna and lear that I tried but dont know why not on the boeing. Any help here guys would be great. Many thanks.NP
