HI ALL ! I am new to posting on this forum but have enjoyed "lurking"( HATE that term , sounds like some kind of wierdo!!) on it for some time ! Anyway, I have what I think is a small Sun improvement for FS9 ! Simply remove the sunglow Bitmap Image from the main FS9 teature folder , save to somewhere safe , and run the sim ! TO ME it looks better ( not so much of a white blob !)If you don,t like it ( or worse yet, don,t see a differance! ), change it back ! Just wanted to contribute something ! Have A Great Day ! Dear All:I am new to FS 2004. I spent years with FlyII. I am very interested in getting other planes to be part of my AI collection in FS2004. I am SOOOOOOOOO confused!!! Some very simple basic questions: I cannot find the "models" to download at the PAI website. When I click on a picture of a plane I want, it only downloads the texture for it - even though I click on "model". What I really need to know is simple - is it possible to download repaints of the existing AI aircraft in FS9?Also, I read about framerate friendly "Aardvark" aircraft (can't seem to find them either). First a vent...WHAT A WEEK!! I blew away the partion housing FS9 and ALL ALL my add-ons so I've been spending the better part of the last few days downloading and re-installing ALL those files. The PAI stuff is going to need a month to reinstall. Ahh well, let that be a lesson to me and if any of you fine folk here learn something from my goof-up, it's to BACK-UP YOUR DATA!! I have a Gateway 700x P4 2.8 ghz. with 1024 meg ram, and a 128mb GeForce 4 Ti-4600G card. After getting FS9, I tweaked settings down to about mid range for sliders, cut AI traffic down to about 50%, and reduced resolution to 800x600x32. I also go back and forth between simple and 3d clouds when fps starts dropping into the high singles. Overall, I'm getting 15 - 20 fps but at times hits 8 or 9. It's bearable, but I'd like to get some addon planes such as The PMDG 737 and want fluid flight and not a slide show. I don't know what else to set or tweak, but it was suggested that I move up to a Radeon 9800 pro "the best for FS9". If it gives a consistent 30 fps with all slider…

Hi all,Just looking for some quite serious help really.I used to have WinXp on my PC but due to getting this annoying microsoft error report in when running flight sim 2002 I went back to Win2K. Crashing was less frequent but still got this error report a couple of times a week when flying with Vatsim.I last week reloaded my PC put all the newist drivers on my PC for each piece of hardware, also used the windows update program and installed all latest software and patches. Tonight I went to fly online with vatsim and it crashed twice in ten minutes with this send error report to microsoft. When i attempt a flight in FS2004 i'm struggling to control the aircrafts pitch movements. Im using a flight sim yoke by ch products and everything is set to default but when i try to descend in the cessna for instance, there is a slight delay then the aircraft takes a dive then when i pull up to stabalize it, it starts to climb. it seems very hard to make small changes in pitch even using trim. I've also noticed this with add on aircraft such as the PMDG 737 on autopilot, the aircraft bobs up and down to achieve altitude. Never noticed this problem with FS2002, could there be a problem with the handling in 2004 or have i set things up wrong. Any help would be appreciated…

I thought I saw a fix for the landing lights being too bright yesterday. Now I can't find it. Does anyone know how to reduce the intensity of the landing lights in FS9? Sorry if this is one of those topics that has been answered 100 timesbefore. I searched the forum and could not find anything. I tried, honest. Thanks for any help.

Genoa Sestri LIMJ to Polermo Punta Raisi LICJ at flight level 330 in the Boeing 777. I went out over the Ligurian Sea, Corsica, Sardinia, and then on into Polermo for the ILS to runway 25. Anyone know how or if it's possible to add gauges to the virtual cockpit main panel? Seems like all of the default planes come without an EICAS gauge, which would be very helpful. I am having a heck of a problem here. Multiplayer won't connect at all for me. I am using Kerio Personal Firewall but it doesn't seem to be the firewall as I uninstalled it and still couldn't connect to a multiplayer session. Is there maybe something in the FS9 configuration file that I need to change? Anyone knows.. if such a thing is available.. I want to learn to use the BendixKing KLN 94 GPS ... Is there anyway I can get a simulation for this and add to it to any of my FSim9 aircrafts? either in 2002 or 2004.Even if it is not the KLN 94...even for the earlier models.. It may be OK.. I downloaded a RAFCAD for Shezryar Ansari's Cleveland (KCLE) scenery and I am seeing Cessnas parking at gates. I made General Aviation spots, but they are still parking at gates. I thought RAFCAD was to stop plane from parking in the wrong spots. How do I get them to park in the General Aviation spots I made?
